William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host William Regal. Alongside me, as always, is the effervescent Renee Young. Renee, we have a big episode lined up."
Renee Young: "Yes we do, William. The brand new NWA World AND NWA: Show Time Women's Champion Manami Toyota will be in the house and will defend both titles in a "Gauntlet for the Gold Scramble" match against eleven other competitors! We'll talk more about that later. Also, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, AJ Styles and Alberto El Patron, are in the house today for an interview."
Regal: "Yes, and that's not all. We will also have a face-to-face confrontation between the members of "Super Luchas"--Myzteziz, La Sombra, and Volador, Jr. Also, we will have a taped interview from NWA World Champion CM Punk, as he discusses his association with our own Brock Lesnar. Fans, let's get started. Take it away, Scarlett (Bourdeaux)!"
Match One ~ "War Machine"--Hansen & "Godzilla" Jax Dane vs. "Bloodbound Warriors"--Grey Wolf & Red Scorpion
This was not as much a match as it was a fight. Both teams hammered away at one another and kept coming forward. Neither team really established dominance in the match. Ultimately, it broke down with both teams being counted out and brawling back to the dressing room area.
Winners = double countout in 9:23
Regal: "Those two behemoth teams beat each other senseless!"
Young: "Yes, but I don't think any of the four felt a thing!"
Regal: "I would love to see a return bout between them at some point. Fans, let's take you to an interview with NWA World Champion CM Punk conducted earlier today by 'So Cal' Valerie."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with CM Punk, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Mr. Punk, first of all, it's my pleasure to interview you. You asked for this time on the Power Hour. What would you like to say?"
CM Punk: "Well Renee, I wanted to address a rather large elephant in the room. His name is Brock Lesnar. People will not shut up about why he seems to be making appearances in my matches. The bottom line is that I am a businessman. I am in the business of winning. Currently, I'm in the business of reigning as your World Heavyweight Champion. As a businessman, I will do anything it takes to protect my investment, which is me. To that end, I contacted Jordan Richards several weeks ago concerning him contracting the services of Mr. Lesnar to me. Whenever I need him, he will be there, point blank and period."
Wyndham: "I see. By the way, my name is Valerie."
Punk: "Ah. Well, you girls all look alike to me. Maybe you should change your hair or something."
Wyndham: "Ok. I'll take that into consideration. So, you entered into a business relationship with Jordan Richards for the services of Brock Lesnar, whenever you need him. I guess that means he interferes on your behalf and keeps the championship belt in your possession."
Punk: "You see it as interference. I see it as him assisting my cause at the most opportune time."
Wyndham: "Your cause? What is that, exactly?"
Punk: "World domination."
Wyndham: "So, where does Brock Lesnar fit in the grand scheme of things?"
Punk: "He is a cog in the wheel, but he's a really big cog. My plan is to continue as a defending champion for a very long time. I am the number one man in professional wrestling. Brock Lesnar helps assure my interests."
Wyndham: "You and Brock have a history together. You feuded back in 2013. So, why the change of heart toward him now?"
Punk: "Oh, Brock Lesnar and I do not like each other. But, that should never be a prerequisite when entering into a business agreement."
Wyndham. "Understood. Thank you for your time, Mr. Punk."
Punk: "Think nothing of it, Chanel."
Wyndham: "It's Val...never mind."
Regal: "As you can see, CM Punk is paying Brock Lesnar to keep the NWA World Title around his waist."
Young: "He is quite rude as well. I don't think we all look alike..."
Regal: "Not at all, sunshine. Fans, our next match will feature Manami Toyota, as she defends both the NWA World and Show Time Women's Championships, in a very unique concept match: the 'Gauntlet for the Gold Scramble.' Basically, Manami will start the match against a random competitor and the two will battle for three minutes. At sixty-second intervals, the other ten combatants will enter the ring. A pinfall or submission gained during this period will result in that wrestler being eliminated from the match. Once all twelve have become part of the contest, the first pinfall or submission thereafter will decide it. Manami can lose the championships without being pinned or submitted, which makes this a terribly dangerous endeavor for her."
Young: "She has been touring this match on the road. So far, she has come out the victor each time. That could change in the blink of an eye."
Regal: "Without further adieu, we'll take you back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA World and NWA: Show Time Women's Championships ~ "Gauntlet for the Gold Scramble" match ~ Manami Toyota vs. "The Dollhouse"--Santana Garrett, Taeler Hendrix, & Mandy Leon, and "Belleza Escondido"--Lluvia, Sexy Lady, Zeuxis, India Sioux, La Jarochita, Crazy Star, Reina Dorada, & Bastet
Toyota began against Sexy Lady and tore the house down for three minutes, until the subsequent entrants began to rush in. The complete order of entry was as follows:
1. Manami Toyota
2. Sexy Lady
3. Mandy Leon
4. Taeler Hendrix
5. Crazy Star
6. Bastet
7. Lluvia
8. Santana Garrett
9. La Jarochita
10. Reina Dorada
11. India Sioux
12. Zeuxis
The order of elimination was as follows:
1. Hendrix, defeated by Crazy Star
2. Crazy Star, defeated by Leon
3. La Jarochita, defeated by Toyota
4. Bastet, defeated by Toyota
5. India Sioux, defeated by Garrett
6. Garrett, defeated by Lluvia
After Zeuxis entered the fray, six women remained:
1. Toyota
2. Sexy Lady
3. Leon
4. Lluvia
5. Dorada
6. Zeuxis
The action went on for another five minutes, with each woman breaking up at least one pin attempt. Finally, after a blockbuster triple "Suplex" spot, Toyota landed a "Missile Dropkick" that sent two ladies out of the ring. She picked up Leon and delivered the "Japanese Ocean Queen Bee Bomb" for the pin before anyone could disturb the count.
Winner and still NWA World and NWA: Show Time Women's Champion = Manami Toyota by pinfall, last eliminating Mandy Leon in 18:11
Regal: "What a victory for Manami Toyota!"
Young: "She continues to defy all of the odds, even when the deck clearly is stacked against her!"
Regal: "Let's go to our woman on the scene, Laura Cruz."
Laura Cruz: "I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here with all the latest news from NWA: Show Time. I have it on good authority that another monstrous tournament is set for the ladies division. Commissioner Aikawa is expected to make an announcement of some kind on Show Time Femme Fatales this Thursday on TNT. I am also hearing that there may be some faction switching going on with the ladies, and possibly for the men as well. I guess we have a few disgruntled workers around. Things are shaping up for our big iPPV on Saturday, September 26. We already know about the big 'War Games' main event, but I understand that several NWA: Show Time championships will be up for grabs as well. So far, management has been tightlipped, but I heard through the grapevine that a multi-team match will take place involving the Tag Team Titles. That's all for now. Until next time, I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop!"
Regal: "Very interesting. The iPPV is going to be a phenomenal event."
Young: "Yes it will. I'm also curious to see who may be switching allegiances in the near future."
Regal: "Let's go back to the ring!"
The "Bullet Club" theme played to bring out the NWA World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Alberto El Patron. Styles grabbed a microphone.
AJ Styles: "We have been very busy defending these titles all over the world. We spent a lot of time being chased by the former champions. Now that we have dispatched them for good, we are ready to move on to more deserving teams. NWA: Show Time has a strong tag team roster. We look forward to see which one emerges as our top challenger from this territory."
Alberto El Patron: "When you're the World Champions, you have a target on your back. We thrive on competition and we are ready to step up to the plate against any team in the world."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out CEO "The Show" Jordan Richards to a chorus of boos. He was flanked by Brock Lesnar, The Rock, Stacy Keibler, and "The Kingdom."
Jordan Richards: "Gentlemen, I can tell you this. You will be defending those championship belts against someone from my promotion at Clash of the Champions 'Halloween Havoc' in just over a month. That team will be determined by a one night tournament, which will be held leading up to our iPPV event. The tournament will begin next week and will include sixteen teams in a single elimination format. The semi-finals and finals will be held at the iPPV. The winner will take you on in October. However, you have to defend those championships in every NWA member promotion. You have yet to take on any team on my television program. Since you're here, and since I am the Chairman of the NWA Board of Governors, why don't I schedule a title defense for you right here, right now?! I'll just bump the other scheduled match today."
Styles: "Go ahead. We'll take on all comers!"
Richards: "Well, it seems that I have a mighty fine team right here in their gear. They just so happen to be the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions and are considered top contenders for the championship anyway. How about you boys try them on for size?"
El Patron: "Bring them on!"
Regal: "We're going to have a second World Championship match today! What a treat!"
Young: "Bonus!"
Match Three ~ NWA World Tag Team Championship ~ AJ Styles & Alberto El Patron vs. "The Kingdom"--Michael Bennett & Matt Taven with Maria Kanellis
This match was phenomenal for about five minutes. Then, all heck broke lose. "War Machine" and "Bloodhound Warriors" came fighting back out to ringside. "Killer Elite Squad" ran down to the ring. "Sons of Steel" joined the action. "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team," "The Addiction," "Meiyu Tag," "C & C Wrestle Factory," and "Lethal Consequences" stormed down the aisle. Before long, the entire set was full of teams going at it. The referee called for the bell and threw the match out as the champions and "The Kingdom" continued in the midst of all the chaos.
Winners = no contest in 8:02 (Styles & El Patron retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship)
Regal: "Fans, we must take a commercial break and see if we can restore order."
Young: "Good luck with that, William. We'll be right back."
Back from the commercial time out, there were still remnants of the fight, as Security and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were separating the combatants.
Regal: "My, oh my, what a donnybrook! We had the get the 'long arm of the law' to come in and get these teams apart."
Young: "They're still working on it. That shows you just how important this tournament is going to be. The NWA World Tag Team Champions will have a war on their hands from the team that emerges victorious on September 26."
Regal: "I am looking forward to this tournament. I was a part of some quality tag teams in my competing days. I love tag team wrestling. When it's done right, it is a thing of beauty."
Young: "I was just handed a note that says Jordan Richards has already signed the sixteen teams and a graphic will air at the close of the episode naming them."
Regal: "Fans, stay tuned until the end of our program. We promised you a confrontation with 'Super Luchas' today concerning what transpired at Clash of the Champions a couple of weeks ago. 'So Cal' Valerie is backstage with all three members now. Valerie..."
Wyndham: "I'm here with 'Super Luchas'--La Sombra, Volador, Jr., and Myzteziz, who will act as a mediator for this interview. At Clash of the Champions 'Fall Brawl,' La Sombra defended the NWA World Historic Middleweight Championship against NWA: UHCW's Kota Ibushi. In the third and deciding fall, Volador interfered and blatantly cost La Sombra the title. In an explanation he gave last week, he stated that he did it because La Sombra had taken his mask when you guys wrestled in Mexico. Even though he had since won the right to wear it again, the embarrassment was more than he could bear. La Sombra, we have not heard from you on this subject yet. What are your thoughts?"
La Sombra (through an interpreter): "When I took, Volador's mask, it was a different time for both of us. We had been friends and had a misunderstanding, which led to our feud. After the match was over, I apologized to Volador for everything, including taking the mask. We made peace and became friends again, or so I thought. This betrayal goes beyond anything bad I have ever experienced in my career. I trusted Volador with my life. You cost me the title I worked for two years to defend. How could you do that to me?!"
Volador, Jr. (through an interpreter): "How could I do that to you?! How could you take my mask?! You know what the mask meant to me and my family, just like I know what yours means to you and Myzteziz's means to him. It's sacred! You ruined that for me! I will never forgive you!"
Myzteziz (through an interpreter): "Hey, hey, hey! Calm down, both of you! This should have never happened! We cannot let this tear us apart! We are family now. We must find forgiveness. We must mend the fences. We have a chance to do something special, if we can stay together!"
Volador: "Together?! We were never together!"
Myzteziz: "Calm down! We have to work this out!"
Wyndham: "Guys, is there a resolution to this issue?"
Myzteziz: "Yes, there is. Forgive and forget. The past is the past. It cannot be changed, so we must let it go. Volador, what happened years ago is over with. La Sombra, what happened recently is over with. You must focus on getting your championship back on September 26. Volador, I signed you and I up for the tag team tournament. You must focus on the team. We have to stick together!"
La Sombra: "You are right. We have to focus on the future. Volador?"
Volador: "Hmmm. I don't know. I guess you are right, Myzteziz. I guess we can make this work."
Wyndham: "Well, it seems that a break-up of the 'Super Luchas' has been averted."
"Super Luchas": "La familia!"
Regal: "Well, it looks like there is no conflict after all. That is nice to see. Remember fans, the tag team tournament will begin next week and will go until the iPPV event on September 26. Fans, we are almost out of time. Don't forget to catch Show Time Femme Fatales this Thursday on TNT, and please be back here next Tuesday on TBS for the next Show Time Power Hour! This is William Regal. For Renee Young, ta ta for now."
