William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the greatest sixty minutes of wrestling on television, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host William Regal. Alongside me is blonde bombshell Renee Young. Renee, we have one of the biggest main events in company history here tonight. Commissioner Scott Hall signed a ten-man tag team match that will pit Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli, Dean Ambrose, and 'Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team' of Shelton Benjamin and new signee Charlie Haas against Brock Lesnar, 'The Kingdom,' and a partner of their choosing. If that isn't enough, every NWA: Show Time championship is on the line. If a champion is pinned or submitted, he loses his title to the man who defeated him! Wow! CEO Jordan Richards has assured us all week that the mystery partner will shock the wrestling world. Who could it possibly be?"
Renee Young: "I have been tossing names around all week long. All that's done is make me want to get to this match all the more! I can't wait! Bring it on!"
Regal: "It's actually closer than you think. We have allotted at least half the program to this one match. Should it end quickly, we do have contingency matches scheduled. However, if this plays out like we believe it will, we could be looking at a marathon. For now, let's get this week started with a tremendous match!"
Match One ~ "Lethal Consequences"--Jay Lethal & Xavier Woods with Truth Martini vs. "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt
"KES" was still seething after having the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship taken from them three days after winning it. It was evident in this match. They were uber-aggressive, which actually got them in trouble, as Lethal and Woods were able to take advantage of a Smith miscue and seize control for several minutes of action. Ultimately, Hoyt got the tag and wailed on his opponents. After a four-way melee ensued, "KES" hit the "Killer Bomb" on Woods for the pin.
Winners = "Killer Elite Squad" by pinfall in 10:22
As they left ringside, Smith looked into the camera and shouted, "We're comin' for ya, 'Kingdom!'"
Regal: "My, my. 'Killer Elite Squad' is one the warpath and they have Michael Bennett and Matt Taven in their sights."
Young: "'KES' is a force to be reckoned with and solidly are the number one contenders and hope to become NWA: Show Time's first two-time Tag Team Champions."
Regal: "let's go to the back with 'So Cal' Valerie Wyndham."
Valerie Wyndham: "Please welcome NWA: Show Time Commissioner Scott Hall. (crowd pops) Mr. Hall, I understand you have an announcement concerning our main event tonight."
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo. Call me Scott, chica. 'Mr. Hall' what was they called my dad. Here's the deal. A main event of this caliber, with every Show Time title on the line, needs to be properly officiated. While we have the best officiating crew on planet earth, we need a true enforcer to take control of this match. We will have that tonight."
Wyndham: "In the form of...?"
Hall: "You'll see. Everyone will see at the same time. If you'll excuse me, I have an old friend who's visiting us today. He asked to remain anonymous, so I won't divulge his identity. If he wants to be seen, he will be. But, I'm being a rude host. I better get back there. Jake's 'entertaining' him now, so I can only imagine what's going on. Later, Val."
Wyndham: "Thank you, Scott. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Hmm, very interesting words from our Commissioner. I wonder what he has cooked up tonight."
Young: "We won't have to wait much longer to see, I hope."
Regal: "No, indeed. Let's go to our own Laura Cruz with the latest Show Time news."
Laura Cruz: "Hello, fans! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz and here's the latest gossip! I have heard a buzz from NWA: Show Time headquarters about a blockbuster new signing that has taken place in the last few days. Show Time brass are being very tight-lipped. It's as if they are under a gag order. Sufficed to say, it seems to be a big deal. I wonder if this individual is the infamous 'mystery partner?' Time will tell. In other fronts, the ladies division 'Queen of the Ring' tournament met and exceeded all expectations. Bank of America Stadium was packed both days for a tournament which saw the team of "Muscle Venus"--Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida take home the platinum trophy and a check for $100,000.00. Congratulations, girls! Don't spend it all in one place! Once again, I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz and that's the scoop!"
Regal: "Thank you, Laura! After a break, we'll be back for the main event!"
Match Two ~ "Ten-Man Tag Team" match for the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight, Tag Team, & Television Championships ~ Brock Lesnar, Adam Cole, Michael Bennett, Matt Taven, and a mystery partner with Maria Kanellis vs. Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli, Dean Ambrose, and "Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team"--Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas
The original "nWo" music hit to bring out Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
Jake Roberts: "Scott promised a special enforcer to keep all of you boys in line. Without further adieu..."
The familiar sound of glass breaking filled the PNC Music Pavilion as the fans went berserk.
Regal: Oh my! Our special enforcer is 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin!"
Young: "As our own Jim Ross would say, business just picked up!"
Commissioner Hall asked CEO Jordan Richards where his team's fifth member was. Richards calmly replied, "He'll be here. We're starting the match without him."
Being the brawler he was in his heyday, Steve Austin allowed this match to break down early, as the heroes scattered their counterparts. After four minutes, the contest settled into a traditional ten-man tag, though "Team Richards" remained one member short. Lesnar took control of the proceedings for his team, as he worked over both Ambrose and Haas for extended periods. The villains tagged in fluidly. The heroes stood their ground and the match ebbed and flowed for nearly twenty minutes before Lesnar and company cut the ring in half with Shelton Benjamin on the receiving end of nearly eight straight minutes of punishment. Lesnar picked him up for an "F-5," then the unthinkable happened.
"If ya smelllllll...what 'The Rock'...is cookin'!"
When that familiar refrain blared over the PA system, Charlotte, NC, lost its mind. The audience absolutely went bonkers! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hit ringside with a vengeance and stormed the ring. He stood eye-to-eye and toe-to-toe with Lesnar. The two locked in an intense stare down for what seemed like an eternity. Everyone else in the match simply stopped and became frozen in this moment of time. The loudest (per capita) "This is awesome!" chant in history rang out as fans just knew Rock would have his long-awaited revenge on Brock for taking the World Championship from him in 2002. What occurred next defied logic. The Rock delivered a devastating "Rock Bottom" to Benjamin! He then high-fived Lesnar and "The Kingdom" to a chorus of boos. Brock and "The Kingdom" took out Steen, Ambrose, Castagnoli, and Haas, leaving The Rock alone with a fallen Benjamin. "The People's Elbow" ended this one as Austin reluctantly counted the pin. The fans were rabid at ringside.
Winners = Brock Lesnar, "The Kingdom" & The Rock by pinfall in 32:09. The Rock became the new NWA: Show Time Television Champion
Concessions showered the ring as Jordan Richards hugged The Rock and presented him with the Television Championship belt. Richards grabbed a microphone.
Jordan Richards: "Scott Hall, did you actually think that my buddy Dwayne was here to see you and Jake? How sweet. He played you and everyone here like a fiddle. He wasn't visiting. I signed him this morning. He's on my payroll now and you'll be seeing a lot of him, because he'll be defending the Television Championship!" (Richards handed the microphone to The Rock)
The Rock: "'The People's Champion' is now the TV Champion. 'The Great One' will be coming into your homes every single week, so learn to love it! We have taken over and we're not going anywhere! If ya smelllllllllll, what 'The Rock' is cookin!"
Regal: "I simply cannot believe what I am seeing."
Young: "Wow. I'm speechless. The Rock is on Jordan Richards' payroll too?"
Regal: "Jordan Richards has, at his disposal, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, and 'The Kingdom,' and they now own every men's championship in the company. I am almost afraid to think what will happen next."
Young: "Seriously, there may be no one who can stop them now. Unbelievable."
Regal: "Fans, we're out of time. I still have no words. Join us Thursday on TNT for Show Time Femme Fatales and next Tuesday for more Show Time Power Hour on TBS. Don't forget about Clash of the Champions this Saturday on TBS as well. For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, signing off."
The victors reveled in their glory as the show went off the air.
