I'm really loving this small promotion based in the south west of England, I haven't heard a single bad word about any of their shows, and last week end they did 3 show in 3 days in 3 different countries and later on this year they are having a card outside of England for the first time. And tonight as a thank you to the fans they had a free show and as you would imagine the house was packed, and it included TNA star Robbie E
Now I took my son to his first ever live wrestling show, now my son isn't into wrestling, and he doesn't watch it on tv, so he had no idea who the wrestlers were, heck i doubt if he knows any of the WWE stars but thats ok
So we saw 5 matches, including friend of the site John Harding who recently turned heel to face his brother Simon Harding for the first time one on one, ut was a good match with John going over his brother, but John need more work as a heel
Chris Andrews (think Chris Masters but with talent and personality) vs Kiezier (the guy has great presence and great on the mic shame his ring skill dont match) & local guy, in a handicap match, it was a great match with Andrews showing a lot of his power based offence to great effect, and pinning both opponents.
Pride promotion tag team champions TNA's Robbie E & Danny Walsh vs Bristol Boys, you know you see matches and think wtf, well it was one of those matches, its started with a pose down, between E & Walsh against Bristol Boys, and the terms of Boys is correct as it looked like zero muscle , they even got the ref to do a pose down, which brought the house down. the match itself wasn't great Danny Walsh mainly wrestled the whole match except for a couple of minutes when Robbie E got a hot tag but that didn't last that long, both Robbie E and Walsh were down, Bristol Boys started to argue with the ref, who got mad, gave a double stunner to both Bristol Boys, then E and Walsh covered them for 1 2 3.
Interval TNA's Robbie E did photos in the ring, only 10 people wanted pictures with him, the guy certainly is as over as some of the local talent and after that is the raffle, nothing like a wrestling raffle
Pride promotions catch champion Ultimo Tiger (god this guy is so over here, the room popped when he entered, bigger than Robbie E) vs Eddie Ryan (friend of the site) vs John Harding (friend of the site and doing double duty vs gideon ( new guy) in a fatal 4 way no dq match, this was a great match, action all over the place, there was action in the ring and outside of the ring, the fans were getting involved in chopping wrestlers, close calls, hard hits just one of those matches you love to watch
Main event: Rumble match everyone that was one the card (except Robbie E) was doing double duty unless you count John harding who was doing triple duty, now i've seen some indy rumble match and usually there are some competitors that sucked, but this is was great rumble match, you could see threads of future stories in the rumble, and for the first time ever I was involved, now Ultimo Tiger was thrown over the top rope however his feet landed on my lap, and he asked me to help him back so I grabbed his feet and shuffled my chair forward so he could re-entered, I got one hell of a cheer, however Ultimo Tiger didn't win but Chris Andrews did which sent the fans home happy.
After the event we met with the stars of Pride Promotions they had a small chats with my son, signed his poster and agreed to take pictures with him, however Robbie E seemed a bit of a douche bag, he was the only star with his own table, and he could be bother to do simple chat or even smile when having his picture taken with my son.
So I asked him if he enjoyed himself and he said out of 10 its was 9 1/2, and when it comes down to it, that is what live wrestling is all about, going out watching some wrestling and simply having a good time, now i dont know if he will see it again or not, but im just happy that he came with me and was a part of something that i enjoyed.
