The show opened to Madusa Miceli and Melissa Santos sitting at the commentary booth of an empty WRAL studios in Raleigh, NC.
Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the showcase of the sexiest and most athletic girls in pro wrestling, Show Time Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess Madusa Miceli. Alongside me is my sultry co-host, Melissa Santos! All right, Melissa, we have a great show today, as we will recap highlights from the NWA: Show Time Women's Television Championship tournament. But first, what are your thoughts on the new faction that was created during the Women's Tag Team Championship tournament, which we saw last week?"
Melissa Santos: "Madusa, this group, now known as the 'Joshi Mafia,' which is comprised of the 'Queen Kongs,' Kairi Hojo, Mika Nagano, and the Shirai sisters, is full of some bad to the bone females! It looks like they aim to take over the ladies division of NWA: Show Time. All I know is that the rest of the roster is on notice and they might want to band together if they hope to combat this force."
Miceli: "Let's go to a pre-taped interview with the 'Joshi Mafia.'"
The scene cut to what looked like a dimly lit office, where "Joshi Mafia" sat smoking cigars.
Aja Kong: "Watashitachi wa koko ni imasu (We are here)!"
Awesome Kong: "Watashitachiha, pasu-nai no subete o hakai suru tame ni issho ni kite imasu (We have come together to destroy everything in our path)!"
Kairi Hojo: "Wareware wa, sekai de saikōdesu (We are the best in the world)."
Mika Nagano: "Wareware wa subete no kyōsō o chin'atsu shimasu (We will crush all competition)!"
Io Shirai: "Wareware wa, sekushī de kikendesu (We are sexy and dangerous)."
Mio Shirai: "Wareware wa, pawā to utsukushi-sa o motsu josei bumon o hikitsugimasu (We will take over the ladies division with power and beauty)."
Aja: "Tameshite mite, watashitachi o teishi shimasu. Anata ga shippai shimasu (Try and stop us. You will fail)!"
All: "Watashitachi wa 'Joshi Mafia' desu (We are 'Joshi Mafia')!"
Miceli: "Wow! That was short, sweet, and to the point. These are some 'bad mamma-jammas!"
Santos: "They clearly mean business! 'Joshi Mafia' is a force to be reckoned with, I'll guarantee you that!"
Miceli: "I'm kind of glad I'm retired. Let's take you to highlights our Ladies Television Championship tournament, where several members of 'Joshi Mafia' took part."
Match One ~ 3 Meiko Satomura vs. 6 Mika Nagano
"Joshi Mafia" had three of its members entered into the tournament, which had its participants chosen in a blind draw by Ladies Division Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa. Aikawa made the proclamation that no members of "Joshi Mafia" could be present at ringside for any of its members' matches. This is in response to the blatant interference by "Queen Kongs" throughout the Women's Tag Team Championship tournament. It seemed that this would keep the tournament on the up-and-up.
Meiko Satomura is a puro veteran and a well-schooled opponent. Mika Nagano has the least experience of "Joshi Mafia," but is potentially the most dangerous, having split time in wrestling and MMA. She is well-versed in submission wrestling, as is Satomura, which made for an interesting contest.
Satomura controlled the action, as one might assume, with grappling and mat-based work. Nagano was able to counter Meiko's various submission attempts, but could not gain a true foothold of her own. Satomura dazzled the studio audience with her brilliance. Nagaon showed great toughness and actually scored the upset with an "Armbar," forcing Meiko to tap out, as she could not get to the ropes.
Winner = 6 Mika Nagano by submission in 8:13
Miceli: "Nagano actually showed some fight in that one and did not rely on 'Joshi Mafia' to win it for her."
Santos: "She has come a long way in her wrestling career. Big things are on the horizon for Mika."
Miceli: "Let's go back to more tournament action."
Match Two ~ 4 Sarah Stock vs. 5 Paige
This was a stark contrast in styles. Stock is one of Lucha Libre's greatest female wrestlers and Paige, with mother Saraya Knight by her side, is from the European school of technically sound, hard-fitting, methodical dissection of an opponent. It would be interesting to see whose will would be imposed upon the other.
Stock actually controlled the pace early, which bothered Paige, who couldn't seem to keep up. Stock hit some stiff kicks, followed by leaping "Armdrags" and "Planchas" to the outside. Paige finally took over around the six-minute mark after a timely distraction from Knight. She began to work on Stock's legs, hoping to ground and slow down the multi-talented Stock. Stock came back to lock Paige in "La Reienera." When she spun her around, Paige's legs struck referee Carly Rae, knocking her to the mat. Saraya took the opportunity to enter the ring and strike Stock from behind. She helped Paige hit an assisted "RamPaige," which all but knocked Sarah unconscious. Knight roused referee Rae, who made the groggy three-count.
Winner = 5 Paige by pinfall in 9:46
Miceli: "So, Paige got the assist from 'dear old mum' it would appear."
Santos: "Yes, and she moved on in the tournament. It's a shame for Sarah Stock, who had the match won."
Miceli: "Yes, indeed, Melissa. As NWA: Show Time CEO Jordan Richards referenced this past Tuesday on Show Time Power Hour, he has negotiated a deal with billionaire mogul Ted Turner for pro wrestling to return to the Turner networks! Power Hour will now be broadcast on TBS every Tuesday night at 8:00 PM, while our very own Femme Fatales will air on Thursdays at 9:00 on TNT! We will still broadcast in syndication from WRAL, and Femme Fatales will still be taped here in WRAL studios. Power Hour will move to an indoor location in the fall, but will still be taped in Charlotte, NC. It's an exciting time for NWA: Show Time!"
Santos: "I'm so excited for Show Time to get this national, and even worldwide, platform to showcase the best talent in pro wrestling! Madusa, let's watch some more of this tournament!"
Match Three ~ 2 Aja Kong vs. 7 Eve Torres
Torres was able to keep the much larger Kong off balance for the majority of the contest. Torres' knowledge of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu has vastly improved and she has become quite a lethal weapon. Kong had difficulty navigating Eve's style. It looked as if we would see a monumental upset. Torres mounted Kong's back with a "Rear Naked Choke." Kong began to fade and the crowd thought she might go out. Kong thwarted the attack by backing Torres into the corner, effectively squashing the smaller Torres and causing the hold to release. Kong immediately hit a "Uraken," followed by a "Powerbomb." She polished Eve off with a "Brainbuster" to quell the upset bid.
Winner = 2 Aja Kong by pinfall in 7:12
Miceli: "I have been in the ring against Kong many times. She is still bad after all of these years."
Santos: "Aja Kong is one of the most imposing ladies in wrestling history."
Miceli: "This set up a semi-final match against stable mate Nagano. How would that all play out? We'll see. Let's keep watching."
Match Four ~ 1 Awesome Kong vs. 8 Fuka Kakimoto
Kong doesn't get paid by the hour and it showed in this match. She made quick work of a normally game Kakimoto. "Awesome Bomb," "Awesome Press," "Implant Buster," pinfall.
Winner = 1 Awesome Kong by pinfall in 2:34
Miceli: "Wow! Are those Kongs impressive or what?"
Santos: "I tell you, I wouldn't want to see them in a dark alley. Heck, I wouldn't want to see them in a well-lit alley!"
Miceli: "Awesome Kong looked like a sure thing to win the tourney. But, did she?"
Match Five ~ 2 Aja Kong vs. 6 Mika Nagano
The first semi-final was set and it involved two members of "Joshi Mafia." Would they fight it out? Or, would they swerve us all? Well, the latter proved to be ticket. As soon as Nikkon Lee rang the bell, Kong laid down in center ring and demanded that Nagano make the cover. Mika did, reluctantly. Referee Lee even more reluctantly made the three-count.
Winner = 6 Mika Nagano by pinfall in :23
Miceli: " I had a feeling something like that would happen. It looks like Aja Kong is taking on the 'Godmother' role in the 'Joshi Mafia.' She doesn't seemed to be concerned with winning a championship herself, but with putting the rest of the group over."
Santos: "Aja has forged a long and successful career. Perhaps she is content to rest on her laurels a little bit and insert herself when necessary to make sure the 'Joshi Mafia' gets its way."
Miceli: "Let's see if Paige was able to keep it from being an all 'Mafia' finale!"
Match Six ~ 1 Awesome Kong vs. 5 Paige
The Brit was a formidable challenge for Kong, in this villain-on-villain encounter. The fans migrated toward Paige, as she would be considered the lesser of two evils in this scenario. Paige threw everything but the kitchen sink at Kong, but could not keep the behemoth down. Paige hit her vaunted "Paige Turner," but Kong kicked out at one. She actually caught Kong on the second rope and maneuvered into the "RamPaige," but Kong escaped at two. Paige attempted the "PTO," but Kong simply was too large for her to pick up. She turned it into an inverted "Texas Cloverleaf." Kong was in pain, but powered out of the hold in impressive fashion. Paige showed her moxie by kicking out of an "Awesome Bomb." Paige had one more flurry, nailing her "Stan Lane" kick, which wobbled Kong. Paige tried to capitalize with the "Knight Rider," But Kong blocked it and turned it into an "Implant Buster" for the victory.
Winner = 1 Awesome Kong by pinfall in 11:47
Miceli: "That was easily the match of the night! Kudos to both ladies for putting up one heck of a fight!"
Santos: "That was most impressive. Paige gave Kong a strong run, but it was not to be in the end."
Miceli: "The question remained, what would happen in the finals? Would we have another swerve orchestrated by Aja Kong?"
Santos: "There's only one way to find out."
Match Seven ~ 1 Awesome Kong vs. 6 Mika Nagano
The entire "Joshi Mafia" made its way to the ring for the tournament finals, featuring two of its own. NWA: Show Time Ladies Division Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa came to the ring with the championship belt in her possession. Aikawa took a microphone.
Yuzuki Aikawa: "I see that you have chosen not to listen to me. I said that 'Joshi Mafia' was not be present at ringside during any tournament match! However, since the two in the finals are also in 'Joshi Mafia,' I will allow it on one condition. Aja Kong, you must assure me that Awesome Kong and Mika Nagano will fight this match out. No one lays down for the other, or I will forfeit this entire tournament!"
After conferring together with her group, Aja shook her head in approval. It looked like we would see an actual match for the NWA: Show Time Ladies Television Championship. Kong and Nagano circled one another, glaring intently into each others' eyes. They locked up and jockeyed for position. Kong was easily the stronger and muscled Nagano into the corner. A clean break and a show of respect set the tone early. So far, we had seen no tempers flare. Nagano used some slick footwork to cut Kong down to size, wailing on her with "Inside Thigh Kicks." Calling upon her MMA roots helped stymie Kong for several minutes. Kong used her height and weight advantage to subdue Nagano's offense, manhandling her to the mat. Nagano's athleticism and determination kept her in the match. She kicked out of the "Awesome Press." Then, amazingly, she became the first person in the division to kick out of an "Implant Buster." Nagano fought her way back and was on the offensive, when she and Kong had a collision close to the ropes. The momentum of the blow shot Nagano back to center ring, while Kong fell between the ropes and to the outside. Referee Carly Rae began the obligatory ten-count as both ladies struggled to their feet. At the count of seven, Awesome Kong went to re-enter the ring. Aja Kong stepped in and stopped her. She whispered something inaudible into Awesome Kong's ear. Awesome Kong raised her hands and backed away from the ring as Nagano got to her feet. Referee continued the count, reaching ten. She called for the bell and Mika Nagano was declared the winner via counout.
Winner and new NWA: Show Time Women's Television Champion = 6 Mika Nagano by countout in 9:57
Aikawa entered the ring and presented Nagano with the championship belt as the rest of "Joshi Mafia," Awesome Kong included, embraced the new champion and raised her arms in victory.
Miceli: "Mika Nagano has shocked the world, with some help from her friends. She is the new Women's Television Champion."
Santos: "Mika Nagano is a fine athlete and a tough woman. I hope she defends the championship with some professionalism and doesn't rely on the 'Mafia" to win her battles for her."
Miceli: "Only time will tell, my dear! That concludes another hour of ladies wrestling action. Fans, be sure to tune in next week for our first in-studio broadcast. Remember, Show Time Power Hour debuts on TBS next Tuesday at 8 and Femme Fatales will be on TNT at 9 on Thursday! Until then, I'm Madusa Miceli, for Melissa Santos, saying, keep it rocking and rolling!"
