Scene opens on Paul Heyman at the end of a long table.
Paul Heyman: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, you know who I am and know I’m gonna talk about NWA: Battle for the Belts so let’s get to it. Our last benefactor who paid for everything apparently had all the contracts made but managed to not have to commit to dates. Then he vanished but made sure we were all paid not to leave. But most of us looked for other work as sitting still just doesn’t suit us. So many took bookings around while I looked for a new benefactor.
Paul takes a deep breath.
Paul: Well I found one.
He takes out a wad of cash.
Paul: And he pays up front. But he did make a demand.
Paul places the money in his pocket.
Paul: He loves the Battle for the Belts concept and wants to keep it going. He has desired to hold it at the end of this month and Rename it from Stealing Your Thunder to For the Glory. He has also stated that he is not wanting to leave these events to chance and instead will hand pick the names and what the tournament will involve. Thus NWA: Battle for the Belts II will be for our male roster.
Yes you heard me right I said male roster. Our benefactor, who will be known as Indy Fiction, has decided that STEEL and Mile High will be molded into one unified roster. He apparently really loved the concept that was WILD with the symbols. He is not looking to revive WILD he is looking to forge his way forward with a new take. He has “reimagined” with the idea of Wrestling Masters Action Council or WMAC.
Unidentified male voice: You have to admit that’s cool.
Paul: Yes Tommy it’s cool. The WMAC will sanction 2 divisions and 4 titles. A men’s division which will be called the Absolute division and a woman’s division which will be known as the Freestyle division. Why name them this? Well in his words……”It’s my money do you need another reason?” I concur with that rationale.
Paul takes a drink of water.
He also said that since Council is in the name one should be formed. He has declared me the head of the council and to find six to join. He likes the number 7. Well I already had one with me.
Paul motions and the camera shows Melina Perez.
So that left five. I decided I needed a man of great loyatly and who knows the business well.
Camera motions to the opposite side of the table showing a smiley happy Tommy Dreamer.
That leaves four left. Talking to Melina and Tommy we decided on a man of technical prowess was needed along with a woman of strength. Thus….
The Camera pans out and shows Ken Shamrock and Nia Jax.
Second Unidentified Male Voice: Why you taking so long to get to me. This is ridiculous, I helped run multiple companies and held the Highest title in NWA multiple times.
The camera pans over revealing Ron “The Truth” Killings.
Killings: Yeah that’s right, Heyman came to me and asked me onto this action council.
The camera pans back to Paul Heyman.
Paul: He’s popular…what can I do? And to round out our Seven I decided to bring a woman who has kept herself relevant for decades at this point and deserves a spot.
The camera pans to Mickie James giving a cute wave.
Paul: This is the Council that will make decisions for WMAC.
In that vein dealing with the titles we have decided that The Elder champion Willie Mack and the Grand Champion Santana, who you all knew won the title at SuperBrawl, will meet at B4B II to crown the Absolute champion. The Freestyle title will also see the newly crowned Burgess Champion Piper Niven challenge Rattlesnake champion Billie Starkz to crown it.
Alpha Academy and LFI is the obvious choice for the Absolute Tag Team title, but SuperBrawl has thrown another wrench when the New Age Sheikhs took the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles off LFI. Thus we have concluded the Absolute Tag Team titles will be decided via three-way dance. As for the Freestyle Tag Team title well that took a debate. Multiple ideas were tossed but Mickie made the perfect suggestion. The NWA World Welterweight Tag Team Champions “Mon Then,” Nikki Cross and Isla Dawn will face the NWA World Flyweight Tag Team Champions in Arya Elizabet and Sarah Rowe collectively known as Gambler's Circle.
As for Battle of the Belts II: For The Glory we will see you at Huntington, West Virginia and the Cam Hederson Center at the historic Marshall University on April 27. Have a good night.
Scene pans out showing the whole council as the scene fades to black.
