When we last saw NWA: Show postings, we were preparing for NWA Great American Bash. Marty Scurll and his stable, dubbed "Villain Enterprises," gathered the best British talent in the world into a dominant group (Scurll, Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre, Jr., Adrian Neville, Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, & Tyler Bate with Joanna Rose and Sophie Powers). However, Scurll announced that the faction's target was not NWA: Show Time proper ("because Jordan Richards and I have a financial understanding"), but they wished to take over the NWA as a whole. Scurll stated that "Villain Enterprises" was going to win every NWA branded championship they could get their hands on. Their first NWA Title came as Scurll contracted NWA: Femme Fatales' own Jamie Hayter, who captured the NWA Women's Intercontinental Championship from Yoshiko at NWA Empowerrr II. Then, the group had a big night at Halloween Havoc, winning the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight (Ospreay), Intercontinental Tag Team ("Moustache Mountain"), and United States Heavyweight (Dunne), and U.S. Jr. Heavyweight (Sabre) Championships in the same night. Scurll has the chance to capture the vacant Intercontinental Championship in a "Fatal Four-Way" match at Starrcade 2K22.
In house, "The Wyatt Family" (Bray Wyatt, Aleister Black, & Alexa Bliss) had begun its reign of terror, singling out the newly formed union of Ricochet, Braun Strowman, and Brian Cage, now known as "One & Only Monster Machines."
Adam Cole has maintained his stranglehold on the Heavyweight Championship but faced a bevy of contenders. A new and fierce rival has emerged in Killer Kross. The two will tangle in a title match at Starrcade 2K22 in a "Last Man Standing" match, where their seconds, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and Scarlett, respectively, will be chained together.
"The Revival" continues to defend both the Tag Team and Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship simultaneously and looks to add to its collection of gold when it joins four other tag teams, including our own "The Mighty Don't Kneel," in a "Gauntlet" match.
Finally, as the result of a trade, Roman Reigns (Joe Anoa'i) has invaded NWA: Show Time and has become "Tribal Chief" of "The Bloodline" (the former "Samoan Dynasty"). Reigns has joined his cousins in the hopes of dominating the Show Time landscape. Reigns continues to hold the NWA World Television Championship.
On the administrative front, owner and CEO Jordan Richards negotiated with the NWA Board of Governors to allow him to expand the women's division to a full 70-member roster, but to remain underneath the Show Time umbrella (one company with two separate rosters).
Speaking of the women,"Mafiosa" continues to dominate the title scene, holding both the Women's (Jazmin Allure) and Women's Tag Team (Megan Bayne & Ashley D'Amboise) Championships. But they face a full roster of contenders with both old and new rivals afoot. There has been talk of Women's Mid-Atlantic singles and Tag Team Championships, as well as a Women's Television Championship, being added to mirror the men's championship offerings. More info will be forthcoming in the near future. In an odd and macabre development, a new and sinister faction has emerged. "The Fallen" (Lilith, Devyn Macabre, Bryn Thorne, Megan Myers, & Hawlee Cromwell) has been joined by Legends Division Hostess and Backstage Interviewer Cathy Kelley, who has adopted a new, dark persona as "The Archangel" and has become the official handler of the stable.
Edge has maintained the Legends Championship and "The Horsemen" continue to hold the Legends Tag Team Championship, but both reigns are in danger. Chris Jericho has left "The Four Horsemen" and has joined the Legends division (also becoming a Trainer and backstage Producer), as he is over fifty years old. Nick Aldis took his "Horsemen" spot on the "main roster." The famous Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott) have joined NWA: Show Time as Trainers and active members of the Legends Division.
As 2022 closes, NWA: Show Time is bigger and better than ever. I will attempt to post once a month regarding results and updates, as time avails itself.
