In an interview with Más Lucha, Andrade talked about being in a backstage confrontation with fellow AEW star Sammy Guevara…
“I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl. After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it. It’s funny because not even in WWE. For example, Sheamus likes to hit, and all my respect for him because he loves to hit hard and loves the strikes. He is wild. Even The Miz likes to throw strikes. Not even John Cena complained about me, so if he did not complain, imagine this kid who is just starting, but there’s that.”
On Monday night, Guevara wrote a tweet that was seemingly directed at Andrade…
“You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch.”
Here was Andrade’s response…
“I said it to your FACE if you had a problem with me and you said NOTHING, I wont beat your ass because im a professional, don’t be scared. When I say something I name names, and im not scared to get fired! #Sammy”
Guevara issued a response to what Andrade said..
“YOU didnt say shit to me you liar but heres some truth you ungrateful prick You would be jobless if it wasn’t for your dad in law [Ric Flair]. Are you really mad at me or mad at yourself for failing to get over for a SECOND time. Just go back to Wwe like we all know you want to do & fuck off.”
Andrade responded with the following…
“Ok I’m a liar 😂 see you on Wednesday!! I’ll tell you to your face again!!! and nothing you say that you do not have any problem!”
Ricky Starks addressed the situation with a tweet but then quickly deleted it. Starks wrote, “Man, can my co workers just shut the fuck up for a minute?” In another deleted tweet, Starks wrote “Alright here’s the solution: We bring in Hunico.” Hunico, formerly Sin Cara in WWE, has been known for his backstage fights.
When asked why he deleted the tweets, Starks responded with “My tweets are an museum exhibit. It only last so long.”
Jose The Assistant claimed that Andrade did speak with Guevara…
“I was there and can confirm this ‘incident’ happened. @andradeelidolo gave an honest interview about his thoughts on #AEW, his upcoming #aewrampage match with his AEW career on the line and more. Good thing (no one) in AEW can translate Spanish to English. UNCENSORED.”
But, the story doesn't end there & let me say this just once: TK needs to get his fuckin house in order & he needs to do it NOW!
According to TMZ, Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara were reportedly involved in a physical altercation that led to Andrade being sent home from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Washington, DC.
TMZ noted the following…
“Sources tell us words were exchanged, and then things turned physical. Sammy allegedly pushed Andrade, and punches were thrown, according to our sources. It’s unclear if anyone was hit. Our sources are adamant the altercation was not part of an AEW storyline.”
On Wednesday night, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Andrade’s scheduled match for AEW Rampage was canceled.
Several people within AEW are said to be “frustrated” about Andrade’s issues with Sammy Guevara going public. Fightful.com noted that a top talent in AEW “was frustrated by the way things played out, regardless of if it was a work or a shoot, because they felt it painted a poor picture of AEW’s locker room.”

Not only was Sammy NOT sent home, he ended up getting the pin for his team in the main event of Dynamite after starting this mess.
