William Regal, Mauro Ranallo, and Jim Cornette opened the episode by stating that fall is in the air. Ranallo regaled, "And, that's means it's time to see a fall brawl!" A brawl was in store, as "The Fiend" was back in a huge main event, teaming with disciple Aleister Black to take on "War Machine." The commentary was thrown to Legends Division hostess Cathy Kelley to begin the program. Kelley was amped about the offering for this week as she introduced the Legends Commentary Team.
Match One ~ "Steel Cage" match ~ "Rated R Superstar" Edge vs. "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle
These two did their best to turn back the clock in this brutal encounter. They hammered away on each other with great fury. Angle worked over Edge's ankle in typical fashion, decimating the appendage and forcing Edge to hobble around. It wasn't enough, as Edge hit a vicious "Spear" to get the win in this bloody battle.
Winner = Edge by pinfall in 16:24
After the match, "The KliQ" came down and attacked a helpless Angle. Amazingly, Edge came to his defense and did his best to fiend off the championship stable until Christian Cage and several of the locker room ran down to break things up.
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Jacob Fatu with Trinity Uso vs. "Murderhawk" Lance Archer with Minoru Suzuki
What a hoss fight. Both men brought the heat and swung their soup bones at each other. The feud between "Suzuki-gun" and "Samoan Dynasty" has raged on for months, with no end in sight. Through it all, Fatu has remained TV Champ. That result did not change on this night, as he and Archer got counted out fighting around the ring.
Winner = double countout in 17:43 (Fatu retains)
Match Three ~ "War Machine" ("WarBeard" Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe) vs. "The Fiend" & Aleister Black
This was a wild and wooly brawl, at times, and a great traditional tag team match at times. Tghe referee got knocked down near the end. A melee ensued. Black took out Hanson and they went rolling to the floor. "Fiend" hit "Sister Abigail" on Rowe and had him dead to rights. Alexa Bliss appeared and shot a fireball from her sleeve into the eyes of "Fiend." This allowed Hanson to nail "Fiend" with a "Piledriver and place" Rowe on top of him. Hanson went to get wake the referee and throw him into the ring for the pin. Meanwhile, "The Revival" ran to ringside and rolled "Fiend" on top of Rowe. They then took out Hanson on the floor as the groggy referee counted the pinfall.
Winners = "The Fiend" & Aleister Black by pinfall in 19:33
Regal closed the frenetic episode with his parting "ta ta for now" catchphrase.
