William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we'll see tonight in our main event who challenges 'Doomsday' for tag team supremacy next week!"
Mauro Ranallo: "It's a dream match-up, if I've ever seen one! Jim Cornette's 'Revival' will square off against 'The Mighty Don't Kneel!' That should be an instant classic!"
Jim Cornette: "Truth be told, we've wanted these guys in the ring two-on-two for months now, and have never gotten a good shot at it! Tonight, you'll see the crowning achievement of going undefeated in the Tag League come to fruition!"
Regal: "We'll see, Jim! Also on the program, Alexa Bliss will defend her newly won Cruiserweight Championship in a special challenge against Austin Theory! But first, the Legends Division takes center stage! Let's go over to Cathy Kelley!"
Cathy Kelley: "Thanks, William! It'll be a technical battle, as Tully Blanchard will take on Jeff Jarrett! Let's hear from our commentary team!"
Jim Ross: "It's old school, Texas versus Tennessee rasslin' here tonight!"
Jerry Lawler: "Two stars from legendary wrestling families go one-on-one! These two grew up in the business and they'll see whether the Blanchards or the Jarretts reign supreme!"
Tony Schiavone: "This should be a heck of a scientific contest! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ Tully Blanchard with Arn Anderson & James J. Dillon vs. Jeff Jarrett with Karen Jarrett
This was a hold for hold, move for move, scientific encounter. Both men felt each other out early on, but the counter wrestling on both sides was brilliant. Jarrett was on top at the end as the younger competitor. Blanchard was tenacious in his comeback. Ultimately, Dillon and Anderson began to stalk Karen, who had become more and more vocal throughout the match. This got the attention of her husband, who went over to yell at his nemeses outside the ring. Tully keenly scooped Jarrett into a "Schoolboy Roll" and held a large handful of tights to get the W.
Winner = Tully Blanchard by pinfall in 11:19
After the break, an explanation of the next match was given.
Regal: "Austin Theory has been particularly vocal all week long on social media that Bliss only won the title because of 'The Fiend.' Austin stated that, if given a fair one-on-one match without 'The Fiend's' presence, he could mop the floor with Bliss and take the title. Apparently, the ploy worked, because she said she'd see him at her playground and she'd tell 'The Fiend' to stay behind. So, let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Alexa Bliss vs. Austin Theory with "Modern Day Messiah" Seth Rollins & Scarlett
Theory came out with Rollins and Scarlett en tow. Bliss' music hit, but she did not appear. The music played again. This time, Bliss lifeless form was being dragged out by Killer Kross and Kevin Steen. She was dumped in the ring. Theory demanded the bell be rung, as it was a title match and the champion was in the ring. The referee relented. The cover was academic and the referee had no choice but to count the three, as the attack happened before the match.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Austin Theory by pinfall in 0:12
After another break, it was the all-important main event.
Match Three ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. "The Mighty Don't Kneel" (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls)
(results originally from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but modified to fit current storylines)
Excellent match in our main event. Everyone had a chance to shine. "The Revival" kept control for most of this battle, laying in boots and double team maneuvers on Mikey. Shane was begging for a tag, yet the referee was distracted by Cornette and didn't see when it was made, allowing "The Revival" to put even more punishment on Mikey. Finally we got the "official" tag. Shane ran wild with "Running European Uppercuts," and even a standing "Moonsault," and "TMDK" went for their double team finish. The pin was broken up by Dawson. After some more excellent tag team work of taking the referee out of position, "The Revival" was able to hit "Shatter Machine" for what looked like the win. Mikey stopped the count at the last second. A four-way scrum erupted. The referee tried desperately to clear the ring. Shane got low-bridged and tumbled over the top. He landed on his feet, unbeknownst to Dash and Dawson. They looked to set up for another "Shatter Machine." Shane scaled the ropes on the opposite side of them. Dawson threw Mikey into the ropes and hoisted him on the rebound for his half of the move. Shane came off the top with a "Missile Dropkick" that took out Dash. Dawson hit the mat with Mikey on top of him. Mikey turned it into a "Thesz Press" and got the surprise pin before Dawson knew what had occurred.
Winners = "TMDK" by pinfall in 28:48
Regal: "Fans, we might have just witnessed one of the greatest tag team matches in recent memory! Those are the two best teams in the world, in my estimation, and they just showed it! 'Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls have won the Tag League and have earned the opportunity to unseat Killer Kross and Kevin Steen next week on this program! For now, we're out of time. But, please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
As the credits rolled, the four embattled men shook hands in center ring to a raucous ovation.
