William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we have a heck of an episode tonight!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Do we ever?! Angel Garza will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against Adrian Neville! And, our main event will see Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin challenge Killer Kross and Kevin Steen for the Tag Team Championship!"
Jim Cornette: "I have the honor of announcing the Legends Division match for tonight, but it's not as big an honor as it normally would be because one of the participants is in that awful faction known as 'The KliQ,' and it's Scott Hall. He'll take on Christian Cage."
Regal: "This will be the first chance we've gotten to see anyone from 'The KliQ' actually wrestle. Let's see what 'The Bad Guy' has to offer Christian, who looks to be in phenomenal shape! Here's Cathy Kelley to announce the contest!"
Legends Division hostess Cathy Kelley made a surprise announcement that, beginning next week, there would be a special commentary team for Legends matches: Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and Tony Schiavone. She then made the intros for tonight's match.
Match One ~ "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall with "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash, "Road Dogg" Brian James, & Billy Gunn vs. Christian Cage with "Rated R Superstar" Edge
Christian used his speed and craftiness to stick and move against the bigger, stronger Hall. Edge did his best to keep "KliQ" members from getting involved, but the disparity in numbers was too great. Christian had Hall set up for "The Unprettier," but Michaels jumped up onto the apron for the distraction. Christian released the hold and walked forward. Michaels jumped off the apron and continued to jaw at Cage. Hall nailed a forearm smash into Christian's back, then spun him around and kicked his gut. With Cage doubled over, Hall hoisted him up and hit "The Razor's Edge" for the win.
Winner = Scott Hall by pinfall in 10:22
(For the sake of brevity, as I am attempting to catch up on postings, commentary will be suspended between matches for the remainder of the post.)
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ "Latin Heart Throb" Angel Garza with Eve Torres vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville with "The Villain" Marty Scurll
(the following results are courtesy of a generic fantasy message board {translated from Italian} and modified to fit current storylines)
The match started quickly, with both men like flashes of lightning all over the ring. The action spilled to the outside, where Neville took control. He grabbed the Mexican athlete by the back of the head, sending him rolling inside the ring. The crowd was in anticipation, with Adrian looking out toward them. Neville scaled the ropes, looking to end this early. Making the unmistakable sign with his arms, it was clear to the fans he was saying it was time to close this contest and to deliver yet another title to "Villain Incorporated." Spinning in flight, "Red Arrow" was on its way. At the last second, Garza got his knees up, crumpling the challenger. Garza "Cradled" the doubled over Neville, taking advantage of that propitious moment. Adrian kicked out at the last possible moment. Angèl sighed loudly, wanting badly to have closed this match out in a hurry. After some more back and forth, Neville hit a low "Super Kick." Garza immediately nailed a "Pump Knee." Adrian countered with a "Roundhouse Kick" that took the champion down. Neville took a chance to win this match and tried to perform the "Rings of Saturn" submission. Garza somehow worked his way into a reversal and hit his "Wing Clipper." He made the cover, but amazingly Neville managed to avoid losing, being the first to kick out of the vaunted "Wing Clipper." But, the dogged determination of the champion showed up. Garza again hit the "Wing Clipper," but this time he held onto the arms and turned it into a crunching submission. Adrian screamed loudly, his head buried in Garza's ribs. He wriggled and writhed, trying to break free. But, it was of no use. Scurll attempted to get into the ring and break up the hold. Eve jumped into action and grabbed Marty by the leg, preventing him from getting into the ring. Scurll tried to loosen her grip, but Torres cinched a Ju Jitsu leg capture. With Scurll occupied, Neville had no respite and tapped out.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Angèl Garza by submission in 26:01
After the break, Charly Caruso interviewed "Doomsday" about its title defense in the main event. Seth Rollins had extreme confidence in the champions. He further stated that, "'The Fiend' and Alexa Bliss had better keep their nose out of 'Doomsday' business!" From there, it was onto the match.
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Doomsday" (Killer Kross & Kevin Steen with "Modern Day Messiah" Seth Rollins, "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas, Austin Theory, and Scarlett) vs. "The Minnesota Stretching Crew" ("The Beast" Brock Lesnar & "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin) with "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle, Jake Hager, and "King of Bros" Matt Riddle)
This was smash mouth tag team wrestling. Lesnar was throwing "German Suplexes" and Kross was throwing "Saito Suplexes." Both were bone-jarring and impactful. Meanwhile, Benjamin and Steen provided some aerial expertise and other technique to the affair. Still, it was a fight. Depending upon who was in the ring, it was a stalemate. Both teams know what they're doing and were out to prove their superiority . As the match was wearing on, controversy became the ruler of the day. "War Machine" came out to interrupt the match, as they have been patterned to do several times of the last couple of months. They were cut off by "The Mighty Don't Kneel." Then, "Suzuki-gun" followed suit. They were confronted by "Samoan Dynasty." There was a melee at ringside that spilled into the ring. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell.
Winners = no contest in 14:19 ("Doomsday" retains)
After several intense moments, Commissioner Sting sent down a throng of Security Officers to break up the action and separate the parties.
Sting: "All right now! That's enough! I am stick and tired of Tag Team Title matches being hijacked! This is the last straw! Next week, I will have a major announcement that will effect the entire tag team division!"
Regal: "Oh my! Commissioner Sting will deliver an announcement next week that will effect every tag team in the division! What could it possibly be?! Fans, you'll have to tune in right here on TBS next Tuesday for the Show Time Power Hour to find out! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
