William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, 'tis the season!"
Mauro Ranallo: "We're less than a week away from Christmas!"
Jim Cornette: "And, NWA: Show Time is the gift that keeps on giving!"
Regal: "Indeed! And, tonight will be no different! We have two big matches scheduled! Our main event will see 'The Revival' defend the Tag Team Championship against 'The Mighty Don't Kneel' in a match fans have been clamoring for! Also on the program, Commissioner Sting has an announcement concerning the ongoing feud between 'The Fiend' and Braun Strowman! But first, we'll start the program with a 'Christmas Chaos Rumble' that will determine the next challenger to Angel Garza's Cruiserweight Championship!"
Match One ~ "Christmas Chaos Rumble" (staggered entry "Battle Royal") ~ Participants include: "King of Bros" Matt Riddle, Colton Piper, Kerry Morton, Hangman Page, "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Johnny "Wrestling" Gargano, Richie Steamboat, Ross Von Erich, & David Benoit
One by one, the participants flooded the ring. And, one by one, they began to be tossed out of the ring over the top rope. As the ring began to thin out, things began to take shape. "British Strong Style" had protected one another as expected. Riddle was alive, as was Gargano. Hangman Page formed a trio with the aforementioned Riddle and Gargano to try and break up the "BSS" monopoly. It worked, insomuch as it helped to eliminate Seven. Gargano then turned on Page and dumped him. Dunne and Riddle got into a scrum and eliminated each other unintentionally after a "Crossbody Press" went awry. This left Gargano and Bate to fight it out. And, that they did for a few short minutes before Bate "Backdropped" Gargano over the top and began to celebrate. The crowd was going crazy until Austin Theory ran into the ring and tossed Tyler over the top rope.
Winner = Austin Theory in a total match time of 22:19
Regal: "Austin Theory has just shocked us all!"
Ranallo: "Seth Rollins said that 'Doomsday' would reappear when we least expected it, and Austin Theory just did! He must have been the mystery thirteenth entrant who didn't come out earlier!"
Cornette: "Austin Theory came in like a thief in the night and stole that one from Tyler Bate!"
"Doomsday" came to the entrance way to applaud Theory's victory.
Regal: "Fans, it looks like 'Doomsday' has decided to target the Cruiserweight Championship! Okay, we need to take a commercial break. When we return, our Tag Team Championship dream match will happen!"
Regzal: "We're back! Before we get back to action with our huge main event, let's hear some comments from our esteemed Commissioner, Sting."
The scene shifted to a pre-recorded statement from Commissioner Sting.
Sting: "As we've all seen this war between Braun Strowman and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt play out over several weeks now, it's gotten more and more violent. Alexa Bliss has been thrown into the mix as well. This rivalry came to a head last week with a backstage brawl. It seems that these two will stop at nothing to destroy one another. Well, I'll let them have their way, but not in a Show Time ring. I won't put our staff or fans at risk. This will take place where the entire this whole story got started for them--at the Wyatt compound in Florida. In two weeks, 'The Fiend' will battle Braun Strowman in a 'Swamp Fight.' It'll be no disqualification, no time limit, anything goes. There will be no pinfalls and no submissions. The winner will be the man who renders his opponent incapacitated."
Regal: "Wow! A 'Swamp Fight' at the Wyatt compound in two weeks?! That will be utter destruction! Okay, let's shift gears. Fans, you've been wanting to see 'The Revival' and 'TMDK' go at it for quite some time now! Well, it's about to happen! Two of the best teams in the world are going to battle it out with the Tag Team Championship on the line! Let's go backstage with Cathy Kelley, as she talks to the champions."
Cathy Kelley: "I am her with Dash and Dawson, along with their manager Jim Cornette. Gentlemen, tonight's main event will see you defend the NWA: Show Time Tag TEam Championship against 'The Mighty Don't Kneel.' This is on the shortlist of everyone's fantasy dream matches and is about to become a reality. How have you prepared for what could be your toughest test ever?"
Scott Dawson: "Cathy, we've prepared for Shane and Mikey the same way the best tag team on this planet prepares for every other team. We've scouted. we've studied film. And, we've been in the gym. We are the consummate unit. 'The Revival' is ready."
Dash Wilder: "You know Cathy, it seems like ever since 'The Mighty Don't Kneel' have come to NWA: Show Time, they're all anyone can talk about in the tag team division. Look, we get it. They're international stars. They broke up one of the most dominant teams of a generation in 'Killer Elite Squad.' Their reputation precedes them. But, don't forget the team that runs this division. No one has held these Tag Team Titles as many times as we have. Make no mistake about it. We'll win tonight just like we do every other time out there."
Cornette: "You heard it here first, Cathy! 'The Revival' will prove, once again, that they are the best tag team in this company and in the world! Boys, you know how it goes!"
Dash and Dawson: "Top guys out!"
Regal: "Well, the champions sure weren't at a loss for words. Now, it's time to back them up! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival" (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) with Jim Cornette vs. "The Mighty Don't Kneel" ( Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls)
This was every bit the tag team classic fans expected and hoped for. There was so much masterful offense and defense from both sides. Dash and Dawson are so well versed in the art of the subtlety. Their team nuance is astounding. "TMDK" is all about high octane tandem offense. The match chemistry and dynamic was palpable. After a breathtaking thirty minutes, both teams were still tearing into one another. Then, controversy reared its head as Kevin Steen and Killer Kross of "Doomsday" hit the ring along with the rest of the group to destroy both teams.
Winners = no contest in 30:14 ("The Revival" retains)
As they stood over their fallen victims, Steen and Kross held up the Tag Team Championship belts.
Regal: "Well folks, it would appear that "Doomsday" has set its sights on both the Cruiserweight and Tag Team Championships in an effort to monopolize the top prizes in our company! Will they be successful in remaking the image of NWA: Show Time into that of 'Modern Day Messiah' Seth Rollins?! Only time will tell. Speaking of time, we're all out of it for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!"
