Ok so I have been thinking of this for days and I need to say it.
AEW ruined a many perfectly good opportunities at Full Gear.
Eddie had gotten over with the fan base in a few short months. He was solid on all aspects and we could legit buy him as champ. If he had won it would have sent a message to the Indy wrestling world, "this is a true land of opportunity". In a few short months with the talent you could be the top guy and wrestlers would look to flock to AEW. It could have given them a divine edge. But they throw it all away so Kenny can fight Moxley for the title.
FTR should have won against the Bucks, there is no reason to call them young anymore. Yes the Bucks would not be able to challenge for the AEW tag team titles but that would have made it all the better. They are getting standard deals all over the place they could win gold else where and bring it in. This could have also been negotiated to them winning the NWA tag titles and the feud being built around FTR wanting those belts, the easily arguable more prestigious titles that fit FTR so well. Flips vs Fists taken to the next level honor pride and glory.
The NWA Women's championship should have been on the main show not the damn pre show. The two womens titles could have been shown not only as equals being on the main show but could have been in a one up womansship. Was the NWA Women's better on the card or the AEW women's "blood feud". Would these titles cross paths? Who will hunt for which? So many options wasted.
Then Darby Allin Vs Cody "god damnit" Rhodes, ill make it simple this should have been Brodie vs Darby, or Lance vs Darby, or Brodie vs Lance vs Darby. Cody should never have been champ. Lance or Brodie should have walked into Full Gear as champ. This would have been a night to see who is the face and future of this division power, cruelty, and madness collide to seen what rules.
Not so important, Page should have beat Omega the Omega should have broken him after the match to secure the heel turn. Simple damn story with much better payoff then what we will get.
