William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Guys, we have a huge episode lined up tonight, headlined by Matt Riddle and 'The Fiend' clashing for the Heavyweight Championship!"
Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia, that's going to be an epic encounter! Also, we'll have two more Mixed Tag Team Title tournament matches!"
Jim Cornette: "And, my World Tag Team Champions will be in the house for an interview!"
Regal: "Yes, Jim, and we're looking forward to that! All right fans! Let's get this episode started with a second round match in the Mixed Tag Team Championship tournament!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament ~ "National Treasure" Nick Aldis & Kamille vs. Jimmy & Trinity Uso
This was a highly competitive match on both sides. The men were striking hard and the women were hitting often. trinity is so athletic. She ran circles around Kamille, who sought to use her size and strength as an advantage. Aldis ate a couple of "Super Kicks" from Jimmy, who then went for a "Superfly Leap." Aldis moved, then locked in the "Queensland Cloverleaf." Jimmy tried to escape, but was trapped. Just before he tapped out, Trinity ran in and hit Aldis with "Rear View." This brought in Kamille and they fought to the outside. This distracted the referee, who was trying to separate them. jimmy rolled up Aldis for what could have been a three-count, but it was not acknowledged. Aldis recovered and locked the "Cloverleaf" back in. Trinity tried to interfere again, but was held at bay by Kamille. Jimmy had no choice but to tap out.
Winners = Nick Aldis & Kamille by submission in 15:06
Regal: "What a back-and-forth match!"
Ranallo: "Your countryman finally got the tapout after a bit of a melee at the end!"
Cornette: "Nick Aldis is a refined man's man and he kept his composure to win it for he and Kamille!"
Regal: "We must take a break. When we return, we'll see more tournament action!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the ring, Vanessa Craft is backstage with the new NWA World Tag Team Champions 'The Revival.' Let's see what Dash and Dawson have to say about their big victory at Starrcade!"
Vanessa Craft: "I am here with Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, 'The Revival." Gentlemen, you recently dethroned 'The Young Bucks' at Starrcade to capture the NWA World Tag Team Championship. You must be feeling great right about now."
Dash Wilder: "You got that right. These titles were a long time coming. We finally proved we are who we've always said we were."
Scott Dawson: "That's right Dash! Week after week, year after year, we've come out here and said that we're the absolute best tag team on this planet and now we have the belts to back it up! The NWA World Tag Team Titles are belts both of us dreamed of wearing when we watched the greats like Tully and Arn and 'The Midnight Express' defend them. Now, this fifteen-year journey of running the roads and making town, wrestling the match of the night every night, has all paid off. And, we brought our hall of fame manager another World Championship! Here's to you, Jimmy!"
Craft: "I'd be remiss if I didn't ask you about the controversy surrounding the match."
Wilder: Controversy?! What are you talking about?! We pinned them square in the middle of the ring!"
Craft: "Yes, you did. I'm referring to the fact that 'The Young Bucks' were attacked by 'The OC' before the match."
Dawson: "So?! That's supposed to be our problem?! Matt and Nick Jackson ran their mouths one too many times and they couldn't back it up! Yeah, they got jumped before the match. But, they agreed to continue and they got whooped by a better team. There's no controversy in that!"
Craft: "Fair enough. Well, there's a laundry list of challengers waiting to get their shot at those championships. your schedule is about to get even busier."
Dawson: "Bring it on! We thrive on competition and going out there and proving that pure tag team wrestling can sell tickets and tear the house down!"
Wilder: "Top guys out!"
Regal: "Jim, your boys are on top of the world."
Cornette: "Exactly where they belong!"
Regal: "Indeed. Let's go back to the ring for more tournament action!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament ~ "Team Little Big" ("The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman & "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss) vs. "The New Face of Fear" (Killian Dain & "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis)
This was a match about the two hosses who spent the bulk of the match in the ring trading clubbing blows. The women mixed it up some, with Alexa usually on the offensive against the deranged Kanellis. Ultimately, it looked like Braun was about to get the best of Dain. He scooped him up for his "Running Powerslam" when the lights went out. After several seconds, the lights came back up with 'The Fiend' holding a lifeless Strowman in position for "Sister Abigail," which he hit viciously, prompting the bell.
Winners = "Team Little Big" by disqualification in 10:22
Regal: "Bray Wyatt just leveled Braun Strowman, and in the process cost his team the match!"
Ranallo: "What was he thinking?!"
Cornette: "I'm not so sure 'The Fiend' thinks like a normal man. He's something different entirely. Either weay, it looked like Killian Dain was about to take a ride on the 'Powerslam Express,' so 'Team Little Big' was probably a few seconds from victory anyway."
Regal: "Perhaps so. Fans, 'The Fiend' is standing in center ring glaring at the camera. What a fear-evoking sight! We'll take a quick break and be back with his title defense when we return!"
Regal: "We're back and 'The Fiend' did not budge from his spot the entire commercial break. He's ready to fight! Let's see if Matt Riddle can give him a go!"
Riddle came out strutting to the ring in traditional fashion. When he hopped over the ropes, he flung his flip flops off. One hit 'The Fiend,' who immediately attacked.
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis vs. "King of Bros" Matt Riddle
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = "The Fiend" by referee stoppage in 27:51
Regal: "What a brutal match!"
Ranallo: "Holy cow! Matt Riddle hung in there until the bitter end against the maniacal 'Fiend' Bray Wyatt!"
Cornette: "Matt Riddle proved he's a world class athlete for last nearly a half-hour with 'The Fined!' But, I don't know if anyone can stop this monster!"
Regal: "It doesn't appear so at this point! Fans, that's going to do it for us this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
The episode ended with a camera cut to backstage, where Ric Flair was walking out of a locker room.
Ric Flair: "Well, that's two down. Only two more to go. Woooo!"
Flair strutted away as the screen faded to black.
