"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 116 (Week 232)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Gents, Starrcade is two days away!"

Mauro Ranallo: "Momma Mia! It's almost time for the turkey day extravaganza! Starrcade is going to be lit!"

Jim Cornette: "I've been a part of many Starrcades over the years! It's the greatest event in pro wrestling history! And, 'The Revival' is looking forward to shutting up those cosplay wrestlers 'The Young Bucks!' Taking the World Tag Team Titles will make it all the sweeter!"

Regal: "Tonight, we'll preview the event with a big face off between CM Punk and Jordan Richards! Plus, we'll have our final two first round matches in the Mixed Tag Team Championship tournament! In fact, let's get those matches started right now!"

Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament ~ "Team Little Big" ("The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman & "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss) vs. "Universal Soldier" Gunner & Whiplash

This should have been, on paper, a cakewalk for the Television and Mid-Atlantic Champions. However, the tenacity of Gunner and Whiplash kept them in the fight longer than expected. Whiplash really took it to Bliss and had her seemingly pinned after her "Whiplash" finisher ("Snap Swinging Neckbreaker"). Braun broke up the pin attempt, which brought Gunner in. Gunner took Strowman out. Bliss took the advantage to steal a pin with a "Schoolgirl Roll" and a handful of tights.

Winners = "Team Little Big" by pinfall in 10:13

Regal: "Well, Alexa Bliss stole that one!"

Ranallo: "Absolutely! Whiplash had her beaten, then she turned the tables and got the cheap victory!"

Cornette: "A win's a win, but that one wasn't earned one bit!"

Regal: "But, 'Team Little Big' has survived and advanced! Fans, we'll take a quick break and return with more great action!"

Regal: "We're back! Fans, Vanessa Craft is backstage with Neveah and Jake Crist of 'OI4K!' They're set to take the ring against Killian Dain and Maria Kanellis of 'The New Face of Fear!"

Vanessa Craft: "I am here with Jake Crist and his wife Neveah, who are representing 'OI4K' in the Mixed tag team Championship tournament. They'll be taking on the formidable challenge of Killian Dain and Maria Kanellis."

Jake Crist: "Hold on! Let me stop you right there! The formidable challenge of Killian and Maria?! Give me a break! Maria Kanellis is no real wrestler! Neveah will wipe the mat up with her! And, Killian Dain is just a fat, hairy idiot! There's no chance in h*** that they'll beat us!"

Neveah: "They call me 'Killer Queen' for a reason! That possessed little doll Maria is about to find out why!"

Craft: "There you have it. Back to you, William."

Regal: "Strong words from Crist and Neveah! They seem to be counting their victory already! Let's see if they're right!"

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mixed Tag Team Championship Tournament ~ "OI4K" (Jake Crist & "Killer Queen" Neveah) vs. "The New Face of Fear" (Killian Dain & "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis)

Neveah and Crist did control much of the action, especially when the ladies were in the ring. Maria, as maniacal as she can be, was no match for her larger opponent. Dain and Jake fought to a stalemate, essentially. This match came down to a mistimed double-team attempt. Neveah was holding Maria for her husband. Jake came running in for a big boot, but Maria ducked. Crist struck his wife in the face with the kick, taking her down. Killian Dain then shot in and hit a "Running Crossbody Press" onto Jake, who tripped backward over his fallen spouse. The referee counted three before Crist or Neveah could react.

Winners = "The New Face of Fear" by pinfall in 15:23

Regal: "What a win for Killian Dain and Maria Kanellis!"

Ranallo: "Are you kidding me?! That was a shocker! We didn't expect much from Maria Kanellis, who essentially a non-wrestler! But, she held her own and turned the tide by foiling that double-team!"

Cornette: "That witchy woman Maria Kanellis showed us something tonight!"

Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we're going to take another break! When we return, we'll watch a special Starrcade retrospective and preview for Thursday's event! Stay with us!"

Regal: "We're back! As promised, here's a video package that should whet every fan's appetite for Starrcade 2K19!"

A special eight-minute video package aired that covered the history of Starrcade and offered a preview of the this year's event. After the video completed, the episode went back to commercial.

Regal: "Okay fans, we're back! What a precursor to Starrcade we just saw, which leads us to the next segment. One of the featured matches at Starrcade will involve our company owner and CEO. Never before have two executives wrestled each other at the big event! And, the stakes could not get any higher for this 'No Holds Barred Street Fight!' If CM Punk wins, he remains CEO and gains fifty-five percent ownership of NWA: Show Time! If Jordan Richards wins, he will regain the CEO position and 'The Magnificent Seven' must disband! Either way, the trajectory of this great company will change after Thanksgiving! The two principal participants will face off tonight and will sign the contract, making the match official! Let's go to JoJo Offerman for the call!"

JoJo Offerman: "Ladies and gentlemen, NWA: Show Time CEO CM Punk."

CM Punk came out with wife AJ Lee by his side. He was beaming with a sly smirk.

Offerman: "And now, ladies and gentlemen, NWA: Show Time owner Jordan Richards."

Richards came out with a purpose in his walk. He all business as he headed to the ring.

Once the two were face-to-face, they had a long and intense stare down. The crowd began to chant, "This is awesome!" Punk then picked up a microphone.

CM Punk: "Well, well, well Jordan. You really have built this thing into a juggernaut. NWA: Show Time is the most watched wrestling company in the world right now. I look forward to continuing on in that vein once I become absolute ruler! And, I will do that by continuing to feature myself and 'The Magnificent Seven' every week!"

Jordan Richards: "I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch, Phil. You may be a world class professional wrestler, multi-time World Champion, and one of the top names of the last generation, but you don't have the proper motivation for winning this match."

Punk: "Oh, I don't?! Well then, please enlighten me and the faceless sheep in the crowd here tonight!"

Richards: "You see, you view winning this match as a conquest. For you, it's about money and power. As good as those two things might be, they're not good enough to get you over the hump against me! This isn't about money and power for me! I didn't start this company to gain money and power! This is my baby! It's like one of my children! I started NWA: Show Time from scratch because it was a dream to own and operate a major wrestling organization! This is my life! I have worked for years to build this into the best brand in the sport, and I'm not about to sit idly by while someone comes along and trashes it! CM Punk, I don't have any choice but to beat you! You don't get it! You will live to fight another day! But, this is it for me! If I lose my last match ever, it's more than just an 'L' in the record books. I lose what I have bled and sweat for my entire wrestling career! And, I swear before almighty God Himself, that will never happen!"

Punk: "Oh Jordan, that was such an inspiring speech! You have gotten everyone hyped up for Starrcade now! You've talked them into the building, haven't you?! But, those were all hollow words! Because, at the end of the day, you can't hang with me in the ring! This match is a shoe-in for me! You're looking at the new majority owner of NWA: Show Time in two days from now!"

Richards: "Keep that same confidence when you head to the ring on Thursday, Punk! It'll make knocking that smug grin off your face all the more enjoyable!"

Richards quickly signed the contract.

Punk then took the pen and slowly signed himself, making the match official. AJ then jumped on Richards' back from behind. He flipped her off, but was met with a swift kick to the head from Punk. Punk then rammed Richards' face into the table that had been set up in the ring. He then threw Jordan out of the ring. The rest of "The Magnificent Seven" came striding out to ringside as Punk assaulted Richards, throwing him into the ringside barricade. He then launched Jordan into the steel ring steps. Finally, he followed up by bouncing Richards' skull off the corner post, opening a gash in Jordan's forehead. Punk tossed Richards back into the ring and nailed "Go to Sleep" as his stable mates cheered and clapped. AJ then stepped into the ring and raised Punk's hand as he stood with his foot on Jordan's chest. Adam Cole, Nick Aldis, Bobby Roode, James Storm, and Ricochet came running out to the ring wielding steel chairs and ran off "TM7." They then attended to Richards.

Regal: "What a scene out here. Let's go to commercial as we get officials out her to attend to Jordan Richards."

Regal: "We're back. Jordan Richards has refused medical treatment. He's still in the ring and has grabbed a microphone."

Richards: "CM Punk, I hope you're satisfied with that little beat down. Well played. But, it wasn't good enough, because I'm still breathing! I'm still standing! And, I'm still ready to fight on Thursday! All you did is stir up the fire inside me!"

Richards then wiped some blood off his head and stared at it for a few moments.

Richards: "CM Punk, this is going to be a fight for the ages! And, it'll just be you and I! No 'Magnificent Seven' at ringside or you lose! It's one-on-one in a fight to the finish! Bring the fire with you on turkey day son, because I'm bringing the thunder! Phil, you and the rest of the world will be witness to 'Show' time for the last go around! I don't make very many promises in life Phil, but I can promise you this one thing! When all is said and done on Thursday, when the dust settles and the smoke clears, when the final bell has sounded, you will remember--FOREVER!--the night you fought Jordan Richards!"

Richards then threw down the microphone as the crowd roared.

Regal: "Oh my! Business, as Jim Ross would say, is about to pick up! Fans, do not miss Starrcade 2K19 on pay-per-view this Thursday evening! And, please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to flip over to our sister station TNT immediately following our broadcast for a special edition of Femme Fatales!
