William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we saw a surprise appearance from Nick Aldis last week! But, we still don't know exactly what he's here for!"
Mauro Ranallo: "He certainly singled out Braun Strowman, attacking him at ringside and costing him a World Championship opportunity tonight against Adam Cole!"
Jim Cornette: "Instead, that opportunity goes to the luckiest man on planet earth, Matt Riddle!"
Regal: "Jim, would you care to give us an update on the condition of Dash Wilder?"
Cornette: "Dash suffered a mild shoulder separation and the medical staff would not clear him to be here tonight. But, he and Scott Dawson shot an interview earlier today."
Regal: "Yes, and we will be airing that within the hour. The World Championship match is our main event. But, we'll also see the debut of Jacob and Sefa Fatu, cousins to the Usos. And, 'War Machine' defends the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship against Ricochet and a mystery partner. Brock Lesnar, perhaps?! We'll see! Let's go to the ring for the debut of two members of the 'Samoan Dynasty!'"
Match One ~ Jacob & Sefa Fatu with the Usos vs. Ross & Marshall Von Erich
This was a highly competitive match-up. The Von Erichs have been plying their craft as brothers and former NWA: Show Time trainees for several years. They hung right in with the cousins and members of the most prolific family in wrestling history. Two legendary family trees were represented well in this one. The end came when Sefa hit Marshall with a "Samoan Drop," followed big a "Samoan Splash" off the top rope by Jacob for a huge landing.
Winners = Jacob & Sefa Fatu by pinfall in 14:12
Jimmy and Jey Uso were yelling at ringside, "Welcome to the 'Samoan Dynasty!'"
Regal: "A 'Samoan Dynasty' indeed, as Jacob and Sefa Fatu took care of business against the Von Erich brothers!"
Ranallo: "Momma Mia! To see Jacob Fatu come off that top rope was an impressive feat for a man that size!"
Cornette: "I've always been impressed with the Samoans. 'The Midnight Express' fought the Usos father and uncle years ago! They're big, tough, and they all can fly!"
Regal: "It looks like the Usos and Fatus are going to cement their family legacy in NWA: Show Time, no doubt! Fans, we'll take a quick break. Stay with us! We have two big title matches yet in store!"
As the episode came back to air, the scene was backstage. Matt Riddle was warming up in the locker room, when he was approached by Nick Aldis.
Matt Riddle: "What do you want, bro?!"
Nick Aldis: "Hold on, Matt. I'm not here to start any trouble. Quite the contrary. I'm here first of all to say congratulations on winning the opportunity at the World Championship."
Riddle: "Congratulations?! Bro, I saw the film from last week. You handed me the match! I didn't need any help and I didn't ask for any help!"
Aldis: "Fair enough. But, it's always nice to have a little insurance policy. Don't be offended. I did what I did because we see potential in you. In fact, I have a proposition for you."
Riddle: "Wait. We? Bro, I only see one of you. And, what kind of proposition could you possibly have for me?!"
Aldis: "Come with me and I'll explain it all."
Riddle reluctantly walked away with Aldis. As soon as they walked out of the locker room area, "The Richards Collective" was there to attack. Aldis joined in the beat down. Riddle was left laying, clutching at his ribs. Trainers rushed in to aid Riddle as the group walked away laughing.
Regal: "What a dastardly beating perpetrated by Nick Aldis and 'The Richards Collective!'"
Ranallo: "So, does that mean Nick Aldis is in the group?!"
Cornette: "It seems pretty obvious to me!"
Regal: "All signs point to it, but we don't know for sure. Fans, it's time to go back to the ring for this Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship match! Who will Ricochet bring out as his partner?!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag team Championship ~ "War Machine" ("WarBeard" Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe) vs. "The One & Only" Ricochet and a mystery partner
Ricochet came out with a microphone in hand.
Ricochet: "So, I have an opportunity at the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship and I get to pick any partner I want. Hmm. Who should it be? I know exactly who my partner's going to be. He's a man who's traveled the world many times over. He's a former World Champion. He's a future hall of famer. And, he certainly has proved himself to us last week and this week. He's the newest member of 'The Richards Collective!' Give it up for 'National Treasure' Nick Aldis!"
Regal: "I guess that settles the argument."
Cornette: "I told you!"
Ranallo: "We saw the writing on the wall."
Aldis came out, still in his custom suit. But, he ripped it off (it was a breakaway suit) to reveal his wrestling gear underneath. He strode to the ring with confidence.
The match had some back-and-forth moments, but mostly was dominated by the bigger and more physical champions. Hanson and Rowe hit much of their patented offense. It was obvious that Ricochet and Aldis had no team cohesion as of yet. The match came down to a conclusion. Aldis got knocked off the apron. Rowe and Hanson attempted a double-team on Ricochet, but he evaded it. Ricochet "Dropkicked" Hanson out of the ring, where he was blasted with a title belt shot by Aldis outside the referee's view. Rowe and Ricochet fought into the corner. The referee stepped in between the two combatants. As the referee buried his head in Rowe's chest and attempted to back him up, Aldis nailed him in the head with the belt. Rowe dropped like a shot and the referee had not seen why. Ricochet hit the "630 Senton Splash" for the pin.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions = Ricochet & Nick Aldis by pinfall in 12:33
Regal: "That was a travesty!"
Ranallo: "The MVP of that match was the title belt that Nick Aldis used to brain both members of 'War Machine!'"
Cornette: "I don't really care for 'War Machine,' but even I'll admit they were robbed!"
Regal: "Fans, let's take another break. The NWA World Championship match was scheduled next, but we'll have to check on the status of Matt Riddle. We'll be back in a few moments!"
Regal: "We're back. We have not yet received word from the trainers on the condition of Matt Riddle. The main event might be in jeopardy! Right now, Vanessa Craft is backstage with Erick Rowan, who is her to provide an update on Bray Wyatt after last week's vicious attack by 'OI4K.'"
Vanessa Craft: "Erick, you don't normally grant interview requests, but you're here on behalf of 'The New Face of Fear' to give us a health update on the condition of Bray Wyatt after that brutal 'Spike Piledriver' he took."
Erick Rowan: "Sister Abigail told me to let everyone know that Bray Wyatt is on the mend. He will be back soon, but not without a transformation."
Craft: "What sort of transformation is that?"
Rowan: "Abigail said he'll be back, but it won't be the same Bray Wyatt everyone has come to know. She said the purest evil in the universe will be unleashed through him."
Craft: "Wow. Your group was scary enough as it was. I can scarcely imagine what you'll be capable of with an even more evil leader. Let me switch gears. Do you have any idea why 'OI4K' would have attacked Bray last week?"
Rowan: "We don't know why they attacked, but I can tell you with certainty that there will be retribution."
Just then, Rowan was blindsided by Solomon Crowe and his crew. They did a number on Rowan while Crowe demanded that Craft and the cameraman stand by. Once they were finished, Crowe stepped over to Craft's microphone.
Solomon Crowe: "He doesn't know why we attacked?! I'll tell you why! Bray Wyatt and his little crew represents chaos and anarchy, same as us! The problem is, there's only room for one leader of chaos around here, and it's me! We took out Bray Wyatt and we'll destroy his band of misfits on our path of destruction! 'OI4K' is not to be taken lightly! In fact, next week, I'm bringing the whole crew together! You'll all see what we're capable of then!"
Regal: Wow! Solomon Crowe and 'OI4K' mean business and they're out to establish themselves as the alpha dogs in NWA: Show Time!"
Ranallo: "Possibly the NWA at large! 'Oi4K' has been flexing it's muscles elsewhere with other members, and it sounds like Solomon Crowe is bringing them here next week!"
Cornette: "I don't think I like the sound of that."
Regal: "Nor do I. Fans, we still don't know what the status of our World Title match is."
Adam Cole came out with Britt Baker and Kamilla Kaine en tow. he grabbed a microphone.
Adam Cole: "Who ready for story time with Adam Cole, bay bay?! All right, so I have taken time out of my busy schedule to fly in to Charlotte, North Carolina for a World Championship defense! I don't care if Matt Riddle is backstage cared to face the best d*** pro wrestler on the planet or not, he needs to get himself out her right now, bro!"
Riddle's theme played, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Cole: "That's it! I'm the World Heavyweight Champion and my time is valuable! Play his music one more time! If he doesn't show up, the referee had better ring the bell and count him out!"
Riddle still did not appear. The referee rang the bell and began to count.
Match Three ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ Adam Cole with Dr. Britt Baker, DMD & Kamilla Kaine vs. "King of Bros" Matt Riddle
The referee made it to a count of four. Riddle came out of the entrance with his ribs heavily taped. The crowd went wild as he walked to the ring. Cole was incensed that his plan to get the night off had apparently backfired. Riddle started out a house of fire, fighting through the obvious pain pulsing through his body. Cole was on the run. Adam took the lead in the match after Kaine nailed Riddle while Baker ran interference with the referee. Cole then punished Riddle's ribs. For quite a while, Matt was defenseless against the stomps, kicks, and strikes of Cole against the blaring target on his mid-section. Matt finally had enough and began to shut out the pain. Riddle went to another place and summoned his inner warrior. He came back with a vengeance, nailing kicks and "Shotgun Knees" to Cole. Amazingly, Riddle was able to lock in the "Bromission" on Cole, who was writhing in pain. Cole finally began to throw elbows into Riddle's injured ribs. Matt finally released the hold. Riddle missed a corner dive, crumpling to his knees and gasping for air, as he had landed ribs first. Cole was able to hit "Last Shot" to end it.
Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 19:46
Regal: "Adam Cole was able to retain the championship, but not after a struggle against a Matt Riddle was far less than one hundred percent!"
Ranallo: "Matt Riddle gave a Herculean effort with heavy damage to the ribs! What a performance!"
Cornette: "I have to hand it to Matt Riddle! He shouldn't have been out there and he dang near won the belt!"
Regal: "Come on now! This is just unnecessary!"
Adam Cole, Britt Baker, and Kamilla Kaine were laying the boots to the injured Riddle. They were joined by other members of "The Richards Collective." Finally, "Allied Powers" ran to the ring for the save. There was a faceoff in the end. "The Richards Collective" stood outside the ring, while CM Punk and company stood tall with an ailing Riddle in the ring.
Regal: "Well, we've ended the night with another confrontation between 'The Richards Collective' and 'Allied Powers!' This war is only starting to heat up!" Fans, we're out of time for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to log onto www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following the broadcast! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley had several topics to discuss. She praised the effort of Matt Riddle, who showed his grit and toughness in a losing effort. She talked about the addition of Nick Aldis to "The Richards Collective," which she referred to as, "the rich getting richer." She also referenced the manner in which he and Ricochet won the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship, citing the outlandish usage of the title belts. Finally, Kelley finished her thoughts with the question, "What will it take to end the war between 'The Richards Collective' and 'Allied Powers?'" With that, Kelley signed off.
