NWA Spring Stampede V

The venue was packed to the rafters and the fans were going wild as the PPV feed came up. The event started with a bang when this entrance video played.

All WILD, NWA: HAWK, NWA: SWAT, and IUC results were crafted by @theindyjunkie .

Punk walked out to a huge pop from the crowd. He would make his way to the ring and stand, posing for the crowd. The lights went out.

The lights focused on the entrance ramp. We saw a man wearing a helmet...

He was wearing black and gold shoulder pads, green shorts, red kneepads, white shin guards, with gold and black boots. He high-fived the fans on the way to the ring. He entered and slowly removed the helmet, revealing it was in fact Jason David Frank to a deafening pop from the crowd.

Match One ~ Temple challenge ~ CM Punk vs. Jason David Frank

Frank tried to take the fight to the mat quickly. Punk would not allow him to grapple, as he used the ropes to break any hold JDF tried to lock on. Punk would also use the ropes further, dropping Frank across them, then following up with a "Suplex" or slam. The fans would chant for both Punk and Frank throughout the match. Frank would eventually connect with a series of kicks and punches, then hit an "Overhead Suplex." Frank would unleash a flurry of "Suplexes." Punk would be able to reverse one and hit the "Welcome to Chicago, MF'r." Punk would be able to lock on the "Anaconda Vice" various times, but Frank took a page out of Punk's book and made it to the ropes each time. Punk was able to hit the "GTS," but was disoriented and leaned against the ropes. He picked up Frank and looked for a second "GTS" when...

The owner, founder, and CEO of NWA: Show Time, Jordan Richards, walked out in a black suit. Punk dropped Frank and began to yell at him. Richards slowly walked down the aisle and stopped about halfway. Punk continued to berate him. Frank dropkicked Punk into the ropes, then scooped him up in a “Schoolboy Roll” for the flash pin.

The fans went nuts from the win. Frank posed on the turnbuckle to the delight of the crowd. Punk stared down Richards as he smiled and walked away.

Match Two ~ WILD Women's Championship ~ Kikyo with Raven vs. Su Yung with Swann The Undead vs. Makoto

Kikyo was quick to use her power to hit hard slams and "Suplexes" on both women. Makoto would go for some stiff kicks. Yung went for some quick submission holds. Raven and Swann would battle on the outside, leadning to various attacks. Kikyo would toss Yung into Swann late in the match then would keep the ref's attention. Raven then struck the back of Makoto with his cane. Kikyo hit the "Michinoku Driver" on Makoto and got the three-count.

Match Three ~ NWA: SWAT Miss Stars & Stripes Championship ~ Skylar vs. Ivelisse Velez with Harlow O'Hara

Skylar would constantly be tripped up through the match. Ivelisse would quickly hit a swift series of strikes then rolled into "Suplexes" and slams. When Skylar looked to have the advantage, O'Hara would distract the ref, allowing Ivelisse to get out of the pinfall. O'Hara would rush into the ring. That made the ref stop watching Skylar lock in the "Soda Jerk." Darby Allin rushed into the ring. He hit Skylar with a "DDT," then he and Ivelisse then hit her with a "Disdain" and got the pin as the ref turned around.

Match Four ~ HAWK High King Championship ~ Jordan Devlin vs. Johnny Gargano

Johnny would try to lock in the the "Garga-No Escape" various times to end the match early. Devlin likewise went for a "Package Piledriver." Neither man could get their moves, but they managed to wear each other down. Devlin would go on a flurry of strikes that lead to a "Package Piledriver," but miraculously, Gargano kicked out at two. Devlin went for a "Superplex" that landed, but Gargano twisted after hitting the mat and locked in the "Garga-No Escape." Devlin fought, but had no choice and tapped out.

Match Five ~ IUC Atomico Indyweight Championship ~ "lWo" vs. "Sweet Hot Chocolate" & a Mystery Partner

Mack, Michelle, and Reed waited at the entrance then motioned to the entrance.

Karissa Rivera walked out to join.

IUC Atomico Indyweight Championship ~ "lWo" (Bandido, Ultimo Ninja, Flamita, & Reina Oscura) with Chavo Guerrero vs. "2 Sweet Hot Chocolate" (Willie Mack, Myron Reed, Renee Michelle, & Karissa Rivera)

Flamita, Ninja, Bandido, and Reed would do amazing dives that kept the fans on their feet. Mack would also take to the air, leaving the ladies alone in the ring. Renee and Karissa double teamed Reina by mixing up "Double Suplexes." Bandido and Flamita would get back into the ring and would connect with a series of kicks on the ladies, followed by a "450 Splash." Mack would get back to the ring and fought to clear it out. Ninja was able to come back and hit a "Superkick" on Mack, then connect with the handstand into a "Splitlegged Moonsault" to get the three-count.

Match Six ~  NWA United States Heavyweight Championship ~ Ethan Carter III vs. Samoa Joe

This match was a reprisal of their feud from several years ago. Both men had moments to shine, but Joe took some sweet revenge. Carter went for "The One Percenter," but Joe slipped out and locked in the "Coquina Cluth." He grapevine his legs around Carter's waist and pulled him to the mat. Ethan fought, but faded and went limp. The referee called for the bell.

Match Seven ~ Number One Contender's match ~ Winner Gets the Next NWA World Heavyweight Championship Opportunity on PPV ~ "The Monster Among Men' Braun Strowman with "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss vs. Brian Cage

Both men have cost each other big matches in recent months, so the issue has become professional and personal. The two behemoths dropped bombs on one another. They took each other's patented finishers and still amazingly kicked out. When it looked like they might fight all night, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole and his "insurance policy" Kamilla Kaine hit the ring and attacked both men.

Winner = no contest in 20:11

After the bell, Cole and Kaine dismantled both men before leaving the ring.

Match Eight ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "Last Man Standing" match ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "Ring General" WALTER

As violent as their "No Holds Barred" match at SuperBrawl was, this match even further pushed the boundaries of decency. Both men destroyed everything in sight in an effort to take out the other. Two tables were smashed. The ringside barricade was damaged. The stage was punctured. The commentary booth was broken. Ultimately, the match ended up on the entrance ramp. WALTER "Backdropped" Lesnar off the ramp and onto the floor by the fans. WALTER collapsed on the stage as the referee began to count. WALTER cleverly rolled himself to the edge of the stage and slid his legs off the side, allowing him to stand (technically) at the count of seven. Lesnar was trying to stumble up. At the same time, a masked man came out of the crowd and quickly wrapped a rope around Lesnar's legs. He laid beside the entrance ramp and held on as Lesnar struggled to free himself. The referee was still on the stage was did not see this action, as he had been focused on WALTER regaining his feet. He continued to count as Lesnar tried to fight off the masked man, forgetting about the count. The bell had rung before Brock knew what happened.

The masked man ran back through the crowd, but someone managed to snap a photo of him before he fled.

Match Nine ~ NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship ~ "American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio

Match Ten ~ NWA World Tag Team Championship ~ "Three-Way Dance" ~ "The Young Bucks" (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. "The American Wolves" (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) vs. "Guerrillas of Destiny" (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa)

This match was as wild and fast paced as fans expected. All three teams had pins broken up on multiple occasions. Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good. Tama Tonga nailed a "Super Kick" on Eddie Edwards, then got blasted with a "Double Super Kick" from the Jacksons that go them the win before Davey Richards could make the save.

Match Eleven ~ NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship ~ "The Unicorn Tribe" (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, & Big E. Langston) vs. "British Strong Style" ("Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, & Trent Seven)

This was the match of the night in terms of overall work rate. Both teams were at their stellar best. There were multiple spots that saw triple-team offense and several sequences where all six men were going at it. In the end, "The Midnight Hour" was broken up and a "Seven Star Lariat" was followed by "The Bitter End" on Woods for the victory.

Match Twelve ~ NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship ~ "Gauntlet" match ~ "The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" (Lacey & Rain) vs. "Divas of Destruction" (Natalya Neidhart & Dana Brooke) vs. "The Richards Collective" (Kamilla Kaine & Dr. Britt Baker, DMD) vs. "Killer Rumblebees" (Solo Darling & Killer Kelly) vs. "british Women's order" (Candyfloss & Xia Brookside) vs. "Curvas Peligrosas" (Goya Kong & La Hiedra) vs. "Youth Gone Wild" (Sarah Rowe & Liv Morgan) vs. "Sky Pirates" (Kairi Hojo & Io Shirai)

It was main event time and the fans could not have been more excited. They were at a fever pitch for this history-making battle before the opening bell. "DoD" and "The Richards Collective" began the match. The referee got knocked down and was dazed. Natalya got Britt Baker in the "Sharpshooter." Baker was tapping out, but the referee missed it. Kaine "Clotheslined" Neidhart from behind, then planted her with a "Chokebomb." Baker made the cover while Kaine clipped Dana and knocked her off the apron. The referee roused just in time to see the pin.

Next up was "bWo." The youngest team in the tournament was being owned by the large Kaine and Baker for much of the "Gauntlet" leg. In fact, it looked like Kamilla was going to finish it off. She hoisted Candyfloss up for the "Chokebomb." Xia swooped in and chopblocked Kaine's leg, causing Candyfloss to fall on top of her. Kaine's legs raised instinctually to kick Candyfloss off, which allowed Candyfloss to grab and hold on for dear life. Three seconds later, we had an upset.

"Curvas Pelogrosas" was up next and this was an interesting lucha vs. European battle. Goya Kong used her girth to squash both of her British nemeses. Candyfloss took La Hiedra to the floor with a "Suicide Dive." Meanwhile, inside the ring, Goya charged Xia in the corner. Xia threw her legs up and Goya went shoulder first into the corner post. Xia turned it into a "Sunset Bomb" and scored another upset pin.

"Killer Rumblebees" came out next and Kelly threw kicks left and right against her tiring opponents. Killer lived up to her moniker, smashing both Candyfloss and Xia into oblivion. It looked like this one might be academic, as Darling and Kelly set up a double-team finish. Xia evaded, causing Darling and Kelly to crash into one another. This allowed Xia to get a quick "Schoolgirl Roll" for the surprise pin.

"Youth Gone Wild" came rushing to the ring. They overwhelmed their British counterparts, who were all but exhausted. Xia and Candy mounted one final comeback, but it was not to be, as Liv hit Candyfloss with her "Jersey Codebreaker" for the pin.

Xia and Candyfloss received a standing ovation as they helped each other to the back. They also are the unofficial MVPs of the match, eliminating half the field with three pins.

"Sky Pirates" were out next to a huge roar. This leg of the "Gauntlet" was by far the longest. Both teams knew it would take this and one more elimination to win the match and the titles and they fought like it. Rowe used her superhuman strength to toss her smaller Japanese opponents around. Liv used her quickness and cunning to evade Io's revered strikes. Ultimately, Liv got a little overzealous and went for a "Moonsault," mocking Io all the while. She missed, which allowed Shirai to perform the same successfully for the pin.

"The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" came sauntering to the ring. They are the most tenured team in the match and were absolutely fresh. Kairi and Io were banged up from their last leg, which went around fifteen minutes. Lacey and Rain took advantage of this and grinded out several minutes, punishing Kairi as Io beckoned for a tag. When Io finally got in, she was a house of fire. It wasn't long before she was cut off, however. Eventually, all four women found themselves in the ring fighting. Lacey and Rain went for stereo "Superplexes," but both were knocked off the top rope. Kairi then hit her vaunted "Diving Elbow Drop" on both as Io then landed her "Moonsault." The crowd chanted the three-count along with the referee as new World Champions were crowned.
