Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. With me are Renee Young and Melissa Santos! Girls, what a main event we have tonight!"
Renee Young: "You aren't kidding, Duce! Io Shirai has challenged Charlotte Flair to an 'Ironwoman' match and 'The Four Horsewomen' are banned from ringside! This is going to be an epic encounter!"
Melissa Santos: "After winning the 'Christmas Rumble'--by eliminating Charlotte in shocking fashion--everyone in the building expected Io to challenge Kairi Hojo for the Women's Championship or even to seek another World Championship opportunity. But, she flipped the script and called out the leader of the group she's an associate of! No one saw it coming!"
Miceli: "Nope! Now, Io and Charlotte have been at odds for several weeks. Charlotte has insisted that Io prove herself to 'The Horsewomen,' which she has done on multiple occasions. It seems that there is a little professional jealousy going on. It all comes to a head tonight! But, that's not all. Mina Shirakawa finally has gotten what she wants. She will team with our Japanese interviewer Yuki Kamifuku to battle 'Team Crazy Cute!' That should be a heated match! In fact, let's go to the ring to get the night started with it!"
Match One ~ "Team Crazy Cute" (Maki Itoh & Mizuki) vs. Mina Shirakawa & Yuki Kamifuku
This was a surprisingly competitive match-up, especially considering the inexperience of Mina and Yuki as a team. NWA: Femme Fatales has set a precedent in the past with interviewers and other officials stepping into the ring for matches (i.e. Summer Rae, Laura Cruz, Yuki Kamifuku, Yuzuki Aikawa, etc.). These ladies are hired with the notion that they can handle themselves in physical situations and Yuki proved herself. Maki and Mizuki were the ring generals, but Mina and Yuki showed grit and determination. Shirakawa caught fire in the later stages of the match. She "Double Dropkicked" her opponents, knocking Itoh out of the ring. This allowed Mina to capture Mizuki in an "Octopus Hold." Mizuki writhed in pain as Yuki cheered on from the corner. Maki ran in and attacked Mina from behind, causing the DQ.
Winners = Mina Shirakawa & Yuki Kamifuku by disqualification in 9:45
After the match, Maki and Mizuki got some licks in, but eventually were overturned by their upstart opponents.
Miceli: "I'd say they fought to a stalemate tonight, but Mina and Yuki were impressive!"
Young: "Especially considering that they have less than a year of experience apiece!"
Santos: "I don't think this feud has died yet. We'll certainly see more from these four!"
Miceli: "Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back with the huge 'Ironwoman' match next!"
Miceli: "We're back! Chiho Nishimori is standing by with Io Shirai to get some thoughts about our main event. Let's go backstage!"
Chiho Nishimori: "I am here with Io Shirai. Io, naze anata wa Shārotto Furea ni chōsen shimashita ka, anata ga `Fō Hōsuu~ōmenzu' no nakama ni natta toki (Io, why have you challenged Charlotte Flair, when you are an associate of 'The Four Horsewomen')?"
Io Shirai: "Kanojo ga watashi o bujoku shitanode Chārotto ni chōsen shita. Kanojo wa watashi no chūsei kokoro ni gimon o teishita. Watashi wa chūsetsudeatta. Watashi wa karera no tame ni shiai ni katta ga, watashi wa jibun jishin o shōmei suruhitsuyōgāru to iimasu. Watashi wa karera ga watashi o 'Ēsu' to yobu riyū o shōmei shiyou to shite imasu. (I challenged Charlotte because she insulted me. She called my allegiance into question. I have been nothing but loyal. I have won matches on their behalf, but she says I need to prove myself. I am about to prove why they call me 'The Ace')."
Nishimori: "Anata no jikan wa,`4-ri no Hōsuu~ōmen' de owarimashita ka (Is your time with 'The Four Horsewomen' over)?"
Shirai: "Sore wa karera no sekinindesu. Watashi wa 1-nichi-me kara chūjitsudeatta. Shārotto wa watashi no nōryoku ni yotte obiyakasa rete shimatta. Watashi wa kon'ya saikō no watashi o shōmei shimasu. Nani ga okotte mo, okoru (That is up to them. I have been loyal from day one. Charlotte has become threatened by my ability. I will prove I am the best tonight. Whatever happens, happens)."
Nishimori: "Arigatōgozaimashita (Thank you). Back to you, Madusa."
Miceli: "Well, it seems like this whole challenge by Io is meant to squash the beef Charlotte has with her. Will that plan succeed or backfire? Let's see what Charlotte has to say about the whole issue? She's with Alex Gracia."
Alex Gracia: "I am here with Charlotte Flair, who is preparing to take on Io Shirai in a thirty-minute 'Ironwoman' match that was requested by Io after winning the 'Christmas Rumble' last week. Charlotte..."
Charlotte Flair: "First of all, Io did not win the 'Rumble!' She double-crossed me. If we had faced off woman-to-woman, I would have eliminated her in thirty seconds. Now, I'm about to torture her for thirty minutes! Io was a trusted associate, but then she began to slip. She started trying to steal 'The Horsewomen's' spotlight. Io became selfish and now she will pay the consequences of that selfishness. When the thirty-minute time limit expires, Io Shirai will bow down to the queen! Woooo!"
Gracia: "Back to you, Madusa." (Rosemary is seen in the background as the scene goes back to commentary)
Miceli: "So, we see both sides of the coin here. Io says she was loyal and Charlotte is jealous. Charlotte says Io became selfish. Either way, one is about to prove definitively that she is better than the other. Let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ Thirty-Minute "Ironwoman" match (most falls in thirty minutes wins) ~ Charlotte Flair vs. "The Ace" Io Shirai
Both women stared each other down as a "This is awesome!" chant got going. They locked up three separate times, with neither gaining the clear advantage. They traded Headscissor Takeovers." They had another staredown. Charlotte "wooed," which brought out a chant of 'Boo the woo!" from the crowd. Shirai didn’t look impressed. Instead, she shoved Flair away. Charlotte rushed, locking up with Io and shoving her into the corner. Instead of breaking cleanly, Flair chopped Shirai hard across the chest. Charlotte "wooed" again. Shirai "Shoulder Tackled" Charlotte out of the corner. Io hit the ropes and Charlotte "Leapfrogged." Shirai went for a "Hurricanarana," but Flair lifted her, going for a "Powerbomb." Io reversed it into an "Electric Chair" position. Shirai jumped off Charlotte's shoulders and shoved her hard in the back. Flair was surprised, and turned around to see Shirai mocking her signature strut. Charlotte slapped Io across the jaw. But Shirai slapped Charlotte right back. Io hit the ropes and ran into a "Basement Dropkick" that clipped her in the left knee. Io dropped like a rifle shot and held onto the knee, but Charlotte attacked. Shirai tried to get up and swung at Charlotte, but Flair kicked her leg and Io landed awkwardly. The referee stopped to check on Shirai. She insisted that she could go on, but she was spaghetti-legged. Charlotte went back on the attack, kneeing Shirai’s injured leg in the corner. Io yelped in pain. The referee once again put Flair into an opposite corner while she checked on Io. Charlotte laid across the top rope (a la Eddy Guerrero). Shirai stood up and limped on the knee. Charlotte taunted Shirai with her strut. Flair then ran at Io, which led to an elbow to the face. Io then nailed a "Dragon Screw Leg Whip." Shirai hit it again. Io went for a third "Dragon Screw," but Charlotte kicked her instead. Flair bounded off the ropes and ran into a "Shotei Palm Strike." Flair powdered to the outside. Io stayed inside the ring, taking valuable seconds to pound some blood flow back into her ailing knee. Suddenly, Shirai ran the ropes and landed a "Tope Suicida" onto Flair. The clock in the corner of the TV screen was at 15:00 at this time. Shirai rolled over and clutched her knee as she attempted to get Charlotte back inside the ring. Flair immediately rolled to center ring. Shirai climbed back in and went to run at Flair. Charlotte threw her with a "Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex" over the top rope and to the outside. Flair then climbed to the top rope and landed a picturesque "Corkscrew Moonsault" to the outside that sent she and Shirai crashing to the floor. The crowd was on its feet. The referee made it to nine before both women got back into the ring. Charlotte chopped Shirai. Io elbowed Flair. They continued to elbow and chop each other until they were nearly out on their feet. Charlotte went for another "Spear," but Shirai reversed into a "Hurricanrana." Shirai looked to be going for the "Moonsault," but Flair thwarted it with a "Chop Block" to the knee. Flair then set up for an "Avalanche German Suplex." Io flipped out of it in midair and landed on her feet, but then she crumpled from the pain in her left leg. Io crawled underneath the bottom rope and to the apron. She steadied herself, the hopped to the top rope and nailed a "Springboard Dropkick," but could not capitalize because of the throbbing pain coursing through her knee. Io finally went for the pinfall, but Charlotte was able to kick out. But Shirai transitioned smoothly into a "Crossface" for the submission attempt. Charlotte immediately for the ropes to force a break. Flair actually pulled both women all the way to the outside. They began to elbow each other, with Charlotte finally winning the exchange asfter an elbow straight to Shirai's face. Charlotte landed a "Running Senton" onto the floor. Flair then grabbed a chair, seemingly not concerned with being disqualified at the moment. As Flair inched near her with the chair in hand, Shirai keenly hit a "Drop Toehold" that sent Charlotte crashing face first into her own weapon. Shirai then picked up the chair. The fans cheered for her to wail on Flair, but Io thought better of it and tossed the foreign object down. Io shoved Charlotte back into the ring. Shirai set up for her vaunted "Moonsault." Suddenly, Becky Lynch’s entrance theme played on the tron. Shirai looked up from her perch surprised. Becky came out to the entrance and distracted Io long enough for Flair to recover and hit a "Dropkick" to the legs that knocked Shirai from the tope rope. Shirai got up to her knees and Charlotte landed "Natural Selection." Amazingly, Io kicked out at 2.5. The crowd erupted with cheers. Charlotte was shocked as she looked agonizingly to the audience. Flair punched Io in the face, then "Irish Whipped" her, but Shirai hit a "Running Dropkick" that flipped Flair head over heels. Io got a head of steam and ran at Flair. But, Charlotte hit a "Yakuza Kick." Io slammed the mat and Charlotte collapsed as well. Another "This is awesome!" chant broke out and was dueled by a "Women's wrestling!" chant. The ticker ran to 25:00 with no falls scored. Becky yelled from the ramp as she tried to inch toward the ring. The referee was admonishing Becky and reminding her that "The Four Horsewomen" were not permitted at ringside. Then, out of nowhere, Manami Toyota came up behind Lynch and threw her into the crowd. Toyota hit a running kick on Becky and dragged her to the back so her charge could compete with zero interference. Charlotte yelled from the ring and nearly dropped a fall after snuck up behind with a "Schoolgirl Roll." Shirai quickly went to work with a "German Suplex." She hit another one and went for a third, but Charlotte elbowed out of it and hit a devastating "Spear." Charlotte wasted no time in going for the "Figure Eight Leglock," but Io kicked her off with enough force to send her chest first into the middle rope. Shirai had Flair in prime position for the "619." Io landed it and Flair bounded into the middle of the ring. Shirai readied for another springboard maneuver. It was amazing that her knee continued to hold up after all the punishment. When Charlotte arose, Io went for a second "Springboard Dropkick." This time, Charlotte cleverly evaded it and caught Shirai's legs, quickly going right into the "Figure Four Leglock." Io screamed out in agony as Flair attempted to bridge up into the "Figure Eight." Shirai grabbed one of Charlotte's arms, keeping her from completing the bridge, which would have meant a tapout for sure. Io used the arm she had grabbed and jerked Flair toward her, hitting a "Shotei Palm Strike" with her other hand. This disoriented Flair long enough for Io to turn the "Figure Four" over and put the pressure on Charlotte's legs for a brief moment before the break. Both wounded warriors limped to their feet. Io struck first with another "Palm Strike" to Charlotte's chest. She then hit a "Scoop Slam" and signaled for her "Moonsault." Shirai bounced up the ropes and let it fly, only to find the Flair's outstretched boot, which hit her square in the mouth. Charlotte rolled through with a pinfall attempt, but Io got a shoulder up at 2.9. The utter confusion on Charlotte's face told the story as she lay upon the prone Io. What would she have to do to secure the victory? Flair went back to the "Figure Eight," but Shirai fought it off. Charlotte settled for a "Single Leg Boston Crab" using the injured left knee and cranking back on it. After thirty long seconds of fighting through the searing pain, Shirai got to the ropes to force the break. Flair slammed Io down to the mat and went for a "Moonsault" of her own. It was Io's turn to spoil it, as she lifted her knees at the last moment. Shirai screamed in pain and pounded the mat with her fist as she held her gimpy knee in one hand. Io fought her way to her feet as Charlotte did the same while gasping for air. Shirai then unloaded on Flair with several "Shotei Palm Strikes" in a row. Shirai knew it would take a home run swing to take out Flair, so she set her up on the top rope. Io yelled to the crowd as she went for an "Avalanche Hurricanrana." Charlotte caught Io and had her primed for a "Super Powerbomb." Shirai unexpectedly turned Charlotte’s "Super Powerbomb" into the "Avalanche Hurricanrana" after all. Before she could cover, the bell rang as the ticker hit the 30:00 mark.
Winner = time limit draw (no falls scored) in 30:00
Miceli: "No! It can't end that way!"
Young: "Oh my Lord! I'm exhausted after watching that and no one scored a fall!"
Santos: "I can't believe what we've witnessed!"
Miceli: "Oh wow! Draw or not, that was the match of the year, no question!"
Just then, GM Karlee Perez came to the entrance ramp with a microphone.
Karlee Perez: "Congratulations, ladies! That was one of the greatest matches ever seen on this program! Charlotte Flair and Io Shirai have laid it all on the line. It's only a shame that we did not have a clear cut winner. But, that's why I'm out here! Am I GM or am I GM? We can't leave this result up to argument. So, I'm declaring a 'sudden death' period to begin right now! The first fall wins the match!"
Miceli: "Holy crap!"
As soon as the bell rang, Charlotte "Chop Blocked" Io's left knee again. Shirai shriveled to the mat. Charlotte then let out a guttural yell and said, "Play time is over!" Flair picked up Io and went for a "Standing Suplex." Shirai blocked it twice and then landed a "Snap Brainbuster." Shirai had a burst of energy and bounced up the ropes. Shirai finally hit the "Moonsault" and covered for the three-count.
Winner = Io Shirai (1 fall to 0) by pinfall in a total match time of 31:12
Miceli: "Io did it! She beat Charlotte Flair!"
Young: "Io Shirai has proven that she is 'The Ace' by knocking off the queen!"
Santos: "What a match! What a match! I'm speechless!"
Miceli: "Fans, we're all speechless after that one!"
Becky Lynch, Mercedes KV, and Bayley Rose all hit the ring and began to lay the boots to Io as Charlotte recouped. Manami Toyota returned to join the fray. After Charlotte recovered, it was 4-on-2. Then, the building came unglued as Kairi Hojo ran to the ring with a steel chair and began wailing on "The Horsewomen." She cleared the ring, running interference while Io and Manami regained their composure. When Io stood up, she came face-to-face with Hojo, with whom she has been embroiled in an on again, off again feud for nearly the entire existence of NWA: Femme Fatales. After a long staredown, Io extended her hand. Kairi hesitated, but when she reached out and shook it, the biggest ovation of the night occurred. Manami nodded in approval as Kairi raised Io's hand as the victor.
Miceli: "What a moment we just witnessed here! Mortal enemies in Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai are now allies! Fans, I'm so excited, I'm about to hyperventilate! We're all out of time for tonight's episode. Please join us again next Thursday on TNT for more Femme Fatales! For Renee Young and Melissa Santos, I'm Madusa Miceli! Keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
