"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 89 (Week 177)

Before the episode intro aired, the scene was the arena back lot. A Tesla pulled up with windows tinted so dark that one could not see inside. No one exited the vehicle. After several seconds, the shot ended and the traditional intro aired.

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Gents, the new Heavyweight Champion is in the house and he'll defend the title tonight!"

Mauro Ranallo: "That's right! 'The Beast' is here! And, he'll take on Bray Wyatt in a Halloween Havoc rematch!"

Jim Cornette: "That will be a good fight, but the real main event will see the Usos win the Tag Team Championship!"

Regal: "Jim, you hate the Usos!"

Cornette: "I don't like them, but I respect their ability as a tag team. Plus, Bobby Roode and James Storm stole the titles and they've been ducking us ever since! At least the Usos would give us a shot!"

Regal: "Maybe so. It's just weird to see such a role reversal from you. Nevertheless, we have a special interview to start the program! 'Team Little Big' is here! Scarlett (Bordeaux), take it away!"

Scarlett Bordeaux: "Ladies and gentlemen, 'Team Little Big.'"

The crowd roared as NWA World Champion Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss came out.

Braun Strowman: "I may be standing here still the NWA World Champion, but I didn't get the satisfaction of squashing Adam Cole quite like I wanted to! All that was because someone from my past, Kamilla Kaine, decided to show up and ruin everything!"

Alexa Bliss: "Braun, let me stop you right there. I've got this. Kamilla Kaine, I get it. You may have gotten those hands once, but I get them now. And, you're jealous. It's the oldest story in the book. I know all about you and Braun's past. I know you were together once. But, I also know that I am 'The Goddess' for Braun now and you're just yesterday's news! So, if you continue to stick your nose in our business, I'll have to knock it off for you!"

Just then, Alexa was blasted from behind by Kamilla Kaine, who came out of the crowd. Before Strowman could react, he was struck in the back with repeated chair shots from Adam Cole. Cole then hit his "Last Shot" to take Strowman down. Kaine took the NWA World Championship title belt and left with Cole, who was smiling and yelling, "You want it?! Come and get it!"

Regal: "Oh my! That ended rather abruptly! Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss were attacked by Adam Cole and Kamilla Kaine, and Kamilla has taken the NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt!"

Ranallo: "What a sequence! Talk about shots being fired!"

Cornette: "They didn't just fire a shot! That was a cannon blast! They've stolen the richest prize in the sport!"

Regal: "And, Strowman is not happy! I don't know if anyone wants an angry monster after them! Fans, we'll take a break and be back with the Tag Team Championship match in just a moment!"

Strowman and Bliss went stalking up the entrance.

Regal: "Fans, we're back! Vanessa Craft is backstage with 'Team Little Big!' Let's get another word from them!"

Vanessa Craft: "I'm here with Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss..."

Bliss: "Kamilla, I warned you! Now, it's time to pay the price! We want you and Adam Cole in a 'Mixed Tag' match next week!"

Strowman: "And, I can promise you both that you're gonna 'get these hands' (said in unison with Bliss)!"

Regal: "Oh my! A 'Mixed Tag Team' match next week?! I don't know if Cole and Kaine will accept, but I'd love to see it!"

Ranallo: "You'd better believe it! The world wants to see that one!"

Cornette: "Forget them for one minute! Let's go to this Tag Team Championship match!"

Regal: "All right, Jim. Calm down! You sure are anxious to get to this match that doesn't feature any of your charges. But, I suppose it's time for Tag Team Championship action! Let's go to the ring!"

Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "Glorious" Bobby Roode & "Cowboy" James Storm with Maryse Ouellet vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso with 'The Bad Guy" Scott Hall

This was shaping up to be an epic dream match. Two of the best tag team in the last fifteen years tore the house down for over twenty minutes. It looked like it could go either way. The fans were on the edge of their seats. They even got to see Maryse bent over Hall's knees and spanked after trying to interfere. Just when it seemed we might have new champions, "Camp Cornette" hit the ring and destroyed all four competitors.

Winners = no contest in 22:14 (Roode & Storm retain)

Roode and Storm ate "Shatter Machines." The Usos got hit with "The Neutralizer" and a "Package Piledriver." Then, "Camp Cornette" stood tall in the ring. Jim Cornette gloated on commentary, "'Camp Cornette' is the standard in tag team wrestling and we proved it tonight against those four losers!"

Regal: "No wonder you were so anxious for this match! You weren't pulling for the Usos! It was a ruse! You knew 'Camp Cornette' was going to ruin the match the entire time!"

Cornette: "Of course I did, Billy! That was a statement to the rest of this tag team division that you don't mess with us! We're the best!"

Ranallo: "You'd better prepare for your comeuppance, Jim."

Regal: "Indeed. Fans, we have to take another break. When we return, it's the huge return match for the Heavyweight Championship!"

Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the main event, we have some words from Kamilla Kaine, who's backstage with Adam Cole and Britt Baker. Let's see what they have to say."

The scene shifted to the private locker room of "The Richards Collective." Adam Cole and Britt Baker were sitting together and laughing. The camera then panned to Kamilla.

Kamilla Kaine: "So, Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss want us in a 'Mixed Tag Team' match next week? Sure, but only if it's 'No Disqualification.' And, when we win, Adam Cole gets another shot at this (holding up the NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt) on Thanksgiving night. Come get it Braun, if you can."

Regal: "So, the challenge has been accepted, but with stipulations added! 'No Disqualification' and a return World Title match if Cole and Kaine win! The stakes couldn't get any higher! Fans, it's main event time! Let's go to the ring!"

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis

This was as smash mouth as we expected. Lesnar hit Wyatt with eight "German Suplexes" throughout. But, Wyatt held his own. He hit Lesnar with the "Running Crossbody" and it sounded like a car crash. Wyatt then worked Lesnar over for a few minutes until Brock regained his senses. Lesnar reversed "Sister Abigail" into the eighth "German Suplex," then called for the "F-5," Which he nailed. That was the final nail in the coffin.

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 20:44

As Lesnar was celebrating with the championship, the camera quickly panned to the back lot, where the door to the Tesla opened up and a hulking figure stepped out in a black hoodie. He kept his head down, so as he entered through the building and into the "Gorilla Position" area, no one knew who he was. He stopped at the production booth and said, "Hit it" to someone he seemed to know there. At that moment, this entrance video aired on the tron to massive applause:

Regal: "It's Brian Cage!"

Ranallo: "Momma Mia?! Are you kidding me?! 'The Machine' is here!"

Cornette: "And, we all know why!"

Cage walked through the entrance and threw back his hood. He stalked straight to the ring as Lesnar bounced back and forth inside it. Cage grabbed a ringside microphone.

Brian Cage: "Brock Lesnar, this was all fun and games for a while, but at Halloween Havoc, you cost me my Stars & Stripes Title! Now, it's personal! I've called you out for months and you've dodged me! You even sent your over-the-hill buddy The Rock to try and take me down, but I proved it to the world, I'm not a man! I'm a machine! So, the time for talking is over! I want you at Starrcade! 'Falls Count Anywhere Streetfight!'"

Regal: "What?!"

Lesnar grabbed a microphone.

Brock Lesnar: "You got it! It's time to go to 'Suplex City,' b****!"

Cage slid into the ring and got nose-to-nose with Lesnar. The crowd was chanting "This is awesome!" in unison. Before they could come to blows, CEO Jordan Richards sent out a throng of Security and Police Officers to step in between them.

Jordan Richards: "Cage, you don't come out here and hijack my program! You don't belong here! So, if you want this match with Brock at Starrcade, you better back down right now! If you touch him, it won't happen!" Cage backed off, then was blasted by Lesnar with a huge "Clothesline" over the top rope. Brock laughed from inside the ring.

Richards: "See you on Thanksgiving night, Brian."

Cage stood to his feet seething as Lesnar continued to laugh and motion for Cage to return to the ring. He thought about it, but backed away, not wanting to jeopardize the Starrcade clash. Cage could be heard saying, "Three weeks, punk!" as Lesnar shouted, "Come on!"

Regal: "What a way to end the program! Brock Lesnar will go one-on-one with Brian Cage in a 'Falls Count Anywhere Streetfight' at Starrcade 2K18! This is going to be epic! Fans, we're out of time! The episode went off the air with Cage still leering at Lesnar.

NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.

Kelley raved about the fiery ending to the program and speculated about the cross-promotional match at Starrcade and all the implications that it carried with it.  Kelley talked about Cage's history of calling out Lesnar and Lesnar insulting Cage for stealing his finisher. She detailed The Rock's two loses to Cage and the fact that he had established dominance at NWA: Stars & Stripes since being signed by them. Kelley likened his winning streak to that of Lesnar himself in NWA: Show Time. "When the irresistible force meets the immovable object on November twenty-second, the earth will shake." With that, Kelley signed off.
