William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette! Men, we have a huge main event, title for title!"
Mauro Ranallo: "That's right! Bray Wyatt, 'Eater of Worlds,' will put his so-called Universal Championship up against the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship held by Adam Cole, winner takes all!"
Jim Cornette: "That should be a great match, but I'm more interested in the one before it, the 'Tag Team Gauntlet!' I want to see who 'The Revival's' next challengers are going to be!"
Regal: "Indeed. That should be a good one as well! We'll start the program off with a bang, as 'Bruiserweight' Pete Dunne is set to challenge Zack Sabre, Jr. for the Cruiserweight Championship! Can Dunne dethrone Sabre a week after his best friends 'Moustache Mountain' took the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship from Scurll and Black?! Let's find out!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Zack Sabre, Jr. vs. "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Pete Dunne by pinfall in 20:02
Regal: "Pete Dunne has done it! He has climbed the mountain top and beaten the British submission artist Zack Sabre, Jr. for the Cruiserweight Championship!"
Ranallo: "Ladies and gentlemen, that was a master class in British professional wrestling! Momma Mia!"
Cornette: "That was as hard-hitting a match as you'll see among the heavyweights, much less two guys at their size!"
Regal: "Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back with tag team action in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! What a way to start our program, with a title change! Pete Dunne has been celebrating in the back with his 'British Strong Style' brethren. The scene is wild back there!"
Joanna Rose was standing by as Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, and Tyler Bate were pouring champagne on each other.
Joanna Rose: "I'm back here with an ecstatic 'British Strong Style,' as Pete Dunne has just defeated Zack Sabre, Jr. for the Cruiserweight Championship a week after his best friends defeated Sabre's 'Euro Trash' stable mates for the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship. How are you feeling, Pete?"
Pete Dunne: "This is the end of the 'Trash' era and the beginning of the 'Strong Style' era! We told you that we'd be running the Cruiserweight division and here we are! Zack Sabre, Jr., Marty Scurll, Aleister Black, you're great athletes, but you're not 'British Strong Style!'"
Just then, all three members of "Euro Trash" blindsided "British Strong Style" and laid them to waste as Rose got out of dodge. Sabre was screaming, "This isn't over!"
Regal: "Oh my! 'Euro Trash' certainly isn't going to simply ride off into the sunset! They're looking to regain those championships!"
Ranallo: "They beat 'British Strong Style' down like they stole something!"
Cornette: "I love it! That's good ole hardnosed wrestling right there!"
Regal: "Well, let's get to some more action in the ring! We're about to find out which team will be the next to challenge 'The Revival' for the Tag Team Championship in this random draw 'Gauntlet' match! Commissioner Flair will pull team names out of a hat to determine who faces off. Let's welcome him out."
Commissioner Ric Flair came out to a mixed reaction.
Ric Flair: "Charlotte, North Carolina! Woooo! Let's see who's going to start this 'Tag Team Gauntlet' off tonight!"
The first two team names drawn were Jimmy and Jey Uso and Bully ray and D-Von Dudley.
Match Two ~ "Tag Team Gauntlet" match ~ Random draw
The Usos and The Dudleys went at it hot and heavy until D-Von ran into a "Double Super Kick." He was hit with a "Superfly Leap" by Jey as Jimmy dumped Bully Ray. Next up was "The All-Americans," who recently scored a victory over the Usos. There would not be a repeat of that, after Gable was shocked by a quick "Roll-up." Drawn next was Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe from "The New Face of Fear." They physically decimated the tiring Usos and had them ripe for the picking, but their killer instinct got the best of them when they refused to break the referee's five-count while double-teaming Jimmy and were disqualified. They hit their team finisher on both Usos before leaving the ring. In a shocker, Flair drew "Sons of Steel's" name out of the hat last. They came to the ring and quickly pounced on the Usos, hitting "Steel Curtain" on a virtually defenseless Jey while Jimmy was laid out at ringside.
Winners = "Sons of Steel" by pinfall in a total match time of 22:33
Regal: "So, 'Sons of Steel,' the first ever NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions, have won the 'Gauntlet' and will challenge their own stable mates 'The Revival' for those championships in the near future! Wow!"
Ranallo: "They'll look to become three-time champions by defeating their partners in crime!"
Jim Cornette had rejoined commentary.
Cornette: "I see what you're doing here! You're trying to create a storyline when there isn't one! You're trying to insinuate that this will cause problems in 'Camp Cornette!' That's nonsense! I'll have a conversation with 'Sons of Steel' and they'll do the right thing! Trust me!"
Regal: "What do you mean by the 'right thing?'"
Cornette: "Don't worry about my team strategy! That's my business!"
Regal: "Fair enough. Fans, let's take another break. We'll be back with our huge main event next!"
Regal: "We're back on the broadcast and it's 'Title vs. Title' time! Adam Cole vs. Bray Wyatt!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship vs. Bray Wyatt's "Universal Championship" ~ Winner Takes All ~ Adam Cole with Britt Baker vs. "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis
This was shaping up to be a phenomenal match-up. Wyatt used his size and strength advantage to overpower Cole, while Adam baffled Bray with his speed and technical ability. It looked like Cole would take it when he set up for "Last Shot." At that time, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe, and Erick Rowan marched to ringside, but they were met by Bobby Roode and Ricochet. This incited a full-scale brawl as Cole and Wyatt joined the fight outside the ring. The referee lost control of the match and called for the bell.
Winner = no contest in 12:08 (both men retain their championships)
The Rock and Brock Lesnar came running out to turn the tide to the favor of "The Richards Collective." Both teams kept brawling, though Lesnar and company had begun to take over the offense. Commissioner Flair came out with CEO Jordan Richards and Karlee Perez.
Jordan Richards: "Hey, hey, hey! Enough! Security, break this up!"
The Security team came out and separated the parties involved.
Richards: "This war has gone off and on for months! It's time to settle it! In two weeks, we're going to have ourselves a 'War Games' match! Two rings completely enclosed by a cage! 'The Richards Collective' versus 'The New Face of Fear!' Bray, find yourselves a partner! Raise The Undertaker from the dead if you have to, but have five that night against my five athletes and we'll see what's the dominant faction once and for all!"
Regal: "What an announcement!"
Ranallo: "Are you kidding me?! We'll have ten heavy-hitters in the only match that can contain them - 'War Games!' And, who will be Bray Wyatt's fifth team member?!"
Cornette: "Will they bring back The Undertaker?! Or, will Bray find someone new?!"
Regal: "All that remains to be seen, but Wyatt has two weeks to figure it out! Fans, we're rapidly running out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't foget to log onto www.nwashowtime.com right now to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following our broadcast! For Mauro Ranallo and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as usual.
Kelley discussed the blockbuster "War Games" match that was on the horizon. She laid out the history of the faction war and said that maybe "War Games" won't even stop it. Kelley then turned her attention to the "Tag Team Gauntlet" from earlier and continued to speculate as to how "Sons of Steel" and "The Revival" will handle a Tag Team Championship match and being in the same faction. "Can they coexist after the match? Only time will tell." With that, Kelley signed off.
