William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Guys, we are set to see a very interesting debut here tonight, that of Alexa Bliss, who just signed from NWA: HAWK! We don't know why she left the other company or why she is in NWA: Show Time, but we welcome her nonetheless!"
Michael Hayes: "Alexa Bliss is a top-shelf talent and a top-shelf beauty! I don't care why she's here, I'm just glad she is!"
Jim Cornette: "I wanna know why we're all of a sudden having an influx of female talent in a company that has no women's division!"
Regal: "Ours is not to question, Jim. Jordan Richards and Ric Flair sign wrestlers at their whim and fancy. So, they've signed 'Absolution' recently, and now Alexa Bliss. We already have Taya, Britt Baker, and Chelsea Green. So, it's not as if this should come as a shock. Hopefully, we can get a word from Alexa when she arrives. Either way, we have a great episode planned for you fans! Bray Wyatt is here to respond to 'The Broken Universe' and Matt Hardy specifically. In the ring, we'll see a cant-miss Cruiserweight Championship match between Kota Ibushi and Zack Sabre, Jr.! Also, Ricochet will get his Mid-Atlantic Championship rematch against Claudio Castagnoli in a 'Two-Out-of-Three-Falls' match! All that and much more! Wait, we're getting word that Alexa Bliss has arrived to the arena! Joanna Rose is backstage. Let's see if she can get a word."
Joanna Rose: "Alexa! Alexa! Can I have a word with you?"
Alexa Bliss: "If you want a word from me, you'll have to follow me to the ring!"
Rose: "William, we're headed to ringside, apparently!"
Regal: "Okay. Fans, you can see Alexa Bliss making her way through the backstage area. She's definitely headed toward the ring entrance! She is coming through the 'Gorilla Position' now."
Alexa Bliss came to the ring with Joanna rose trailing behind her. The fans gave her a very strong, but mixed reaction.
Bliss: "So, you want a word with me?! Here's your word--Braun!"
Rose: "I'm sorry. I don't know if I understand, really. Braun?"
Bliss: "Yes, Braun! everyone knows me! I'm 'The Goddess' of professional wrestling. I have been signed by NWA: HAWK since day one. Early on, I joined a group called 'Poor Horsemen.' And they were what their name implies, a poor copy of 'The Four Horsemen.' But, they had my back, so I stayed with them. But, recently, they started distancing themselves from me. They even switched companies and left me high and dry! To take it one step further, they began using other women as substitutes for me in matches! How can you replace a goddess?! You can't! But, I got the message. They didn't need me anymore! The last straw was a couple of weeks ago. I was surrounded by a group who wanted to do me harm. Did any of my so called friends come out and help?! No! But, one person did. Braun Strowman. He ran them off and made sure I was safe. Well, I will never forget that. So, I went to NWA: HAWK management and demanded they get Jordan Richards on the phone. He was all-too-happy to buy my contract! He knows true talent when he sees it! So, here I am. Now, I want to speak with Braun face-to-face!"
Braun Strowman came out to a good response. Typically he is booed, being a member of 'The New Face of Fear.' But, not on this day. It seems that fans were intrigued with Alexa Bliss calling him out.
Bliss: "Braun, I know you're a man of few words, so let me do the talking. I want to thank you for saving me."
Bliss extended her hand. Braun slowly and reluctantly shook it to applause. Then, he cocked his head sideways. He took the microphone from Bliss' hand.
Braun Strowman: "You mean to tell me you had your contract bought out and moved to this company just to tell me that?! Couldn't you have sent out a tweet?!"
Fans applauded and laughed at that question.
Bliss: "I guess I could have. But, to answer your question, no, I didn't come to NWA: Show Time just to tell you that. Something told me I needed to be here. And, I have a proposition for you."
Strowman: "What kind of proposition?"
Bliss: "Listen, I know you're a part of Bray Wyatt's group. He's a powerful individual and you're his muscle. There's power in numbers. I get it. But, that's what my proposition is all about, the power of numbers. I'm the new girl in town and I'm all alone. The fact that you saved me must mean you care something about me. So, rather than be a background player for Bray Wyatt, why don't you and I join forces and you'll be a featured act?! Just think about it! 'The Goddess' and 'The Monster' together!"
The fans cheered loudly.
Bliss: "See, even they like the idea! What do you say, Braun? You and me against the world?"
Braun stared intently at Alexa, then started to smile. Suddenly...
Bray Wyatt: "My, my, my, young lady. Making a big splash on our first day, are we? Hehehe. I know you, little girl. You caused plenty of trouble in that other world I used to be a part of, didn't you? I guess we've both moved on to greener pastures. But, here you are on my land trying to poach part of the family. And, on top of that, you pass yourself off as a goddess?! Don't you know that there is but one god among us? Braun Strowman is my disciple, not yours! You've made a grave mistake. Now, you'll have to pay the penalty for that indiscretion."
The group surrounded Bliss with Strowman looking on concerned. Maria Kanellis attacked Bliss. Alexa defended herself as best she could, but Maria flailed at her. Braun walked over, wrapped his arm around Maria, and pulled her away from Bliss. He stood her up and screamed for her to stop. Bray Wyatt stepped in and yelled at Strowman not to impede 'Abigail.' Strowman yelled back that, 'Nobody's putting their hands on her!" Wyatt retorted, "Oh, I beg to differ. Stand down!" Wyatt went to grab Bliss, but Strowman blocked his way. Wyatt once again admonished Braun to move, but the hulking figure stood his ground. Wyatt then shoved Strowman. Braun, in kind, shoved Wyatt so hard he fell to the mat with eyes as wide as saucers. Suddenly, Killian Dane and Alexander Wolfe attacked Strowman. They were joined by Erick Rowan. Wyatt let the beating commence as Bliss screamed for him to stop it. Wyatt laughed as his henchman hammered away on Braun. Maria went to attack again, but Alexa floored her with a kick. Wyatt rushed to Maria's aid and called off his men. He scooped Maria into his arms and backed off, as Dain and Wolfe grabbed Strowman and took him away as well. Wyatt stopped and glared at Bliss. He ominously stated, "We'll see you again," before departing. Bliss looked terrified from the ring.
Regal: "What a sequence of events we've just seen! I'm not sure what to make of it all!"
Hayes: "That was unexpected, to say the least."
Cornette: "Alexa Bliss just made a career decision that I think she'll live to regret."
Regal: "You may be right. Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back to Cruiserweight Championship action next!"
Regal: "We're back! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Kota Ibushi vs. Zack Sabre, Jr.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Zack Sabre, Jr. by submission in 20:19
Regal: "I can't believe how that turned out! Ibushi had Sabre beaten until Taichi and his valets came to ringside for the distraction! That left him ripe for the picking!"
Hayes: "Sabre doesn't need much of an opening to win! He took full advantage of that gift by Taichi!"
Cornette: "I thought it was a fantastic match! They beat the snot out of each other! Sabre didn't do anything wrong. in my book, Kota Ibushi took his eyes off the ball and that's why he lost!"
Regal: "Regardless, we do have a new Cruiserweight Champion. Congratulations are in order for the British phenom Zack Sabre, Jr.! Fans, we'll take another break! We'll be back with more after this!"
Regal: "Welcome back to the program! Before we go to our main event, we'd like to take a look at a video concerning the incident involving 'The New Face of Fear,' who have been busy this evening, and 'The Broken Universe,' which ended in the declaration of 'Broken' Matt Hardy last week that Bray be deleted. Bray prerecorded some words, but a very interesting occurrence took place as Wyatt spoke. He was, shall we say, interrupted. Let's see this interesting video."
Regal: "What a bizarre situation Bray Wyatt finds himself in. He has incurred the ire of 'The Broken Universe.' But, as we saw earlier, he may have a civil war brewing among his own camp. Trying times for 'The Eater of Worlds,' no doubt. Lets go to the ring for a big main event! It's time to settle the Mid-Atlantic Championship dispute in a 'Two-Out-of-Three-Falls' match! Jim, we'll give you your leave now. Good luck!"
Cornette: "We don't need luck! That belt isn't going anywhere!"
Regal: "We shall see."
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship ~ "Two-Out-of-Three-Falls" match ~ Claudio Castagnoli with Jim Cornette vs. Ricochet
This match was a an instant classic. Both men went at it full tilt in the early minutes. But, they slowed their pace several minutes in to conserve energy, as it was clear this would be a marathon and not a sprint. Claudio used a little trickeration to win the first fall. Ricochet had the momentum. He bounced off the ropes to charge at Castagnoli, but Cornette grabbed his foot. While Jim was being admonished by the referee, Claudio snuck in a low blow, followed by a vicious "European Uppercut." Castagnoli quickly followed up with a "Neutralizer" for the pin.
Winner of fall one = Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall in 10:32 (Castagnoli - 1, Ricochet - 0)
The bell rang after the thirty-second rest period. Castagnoli went straight to Ricochet, who was still recovering in the corner. He scooped him up for a "Bodyslam." Ricochet rolled through and cradled Claudio for the surprise pin.
Winner of fall two = Ricochet by pinfall in 0:10 (Castagnoli - 1, Ricochet - 1)
Claudio was incensed and paced back and forth during the rest period. Cornette tried to calm him down, but Castagnoli was fit to be tied. He attacked at the bell, but Ricochet was prepared and countered everything Claudio threw at him. This final leg of the match was epic and wore on almost twice as long as the first stanza. Castgnoli had the advantage near the end. He attempted another "Neutralizer," but Ricochet sent him flying with a "Backdrop." Claudio's long legs inadvertently clipped the referee, taking him down. Cornette jumped up on the apron wielding his trusty tennis racket. He beckoned Claudio to send Ricochet into him as he prepared to wallop the challenger. Cornette wound up and let his racket swing fly. Unfortunately for him, Ricochet ducked and he struck Castagnoli square in the noggin. Ricochet then "Dropkicked" Jim off the apron and went to the top rope, where he hit his breath-taking "630 Senton Splash." The referee turned to see the cover and made the slow count.
Winner of fall three = Ricochet by pinfall in 19:47 (Ricochet - 2, Castagnoli - 1)
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion = Ricochet in a total match time of 30:29
Regal: "What a match! Oh my! Ricochet has regained the title a week after losing it!"
Hayes: "I'm stunned, but, more importantly, so is Jim Cornette!"
Regal: "Our broadcast partner is not a happy camper right now! But, congratulations to Ricochet! Fans, we'll take one final break, then we'll be back to close out the program!"
Regal: "We're back and we're set to be joined by CEO Jordan Richards and Commissioner Ric Flair at this time."
Richards and Flair came to the ring dressed in business suits. They were all smiles as they readied for a blockbuster announcement.
Ric Flair: "Charlotte, woooo, North Carolina! We're here to make a huge announcement about an upcoming event! I will let our esteemed CEO do the honors."
Jordan Richards: "Since I own both NWA: Show Time and its sister promotion NWA: Femme Fatales, I like to get them together for joint ventures from time to time. Well, this next joint venture promises to be an amazing event. Beginning in two weeks, Ric and I, along with Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa of Femme Fatales, will present the 'Show Time/Femme Fatales Mixed Match Challenge!' This will be an twelve-team tournament comprised of intergender pairs facing one another in a series of 'Mixed Tag Team' matches. We will announce the brackets next week and the tournament will commence the week after that. Ric, tell the fans what the prize for winning is."
Flair: "The winning team will split a check for one hundred thousand dollars and each winner gets to pick the match of choice on his and her brand! It's going to be epic! Woooo!"
Flair and Richards then posed for photos in the ring as the "Mixed Match Challenge" banner showed on the tron.
Regal: "What a huge development! A 'Mixed Match Challenge' tournament where the winners split one hundred thousand dollars and each member gets the match of his and her choice! I, for one, can't wait to see this kick off! Fans, we're out of time for this episode! Please join us next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Kelley was stoked to hear about the "Mixed Match Challenge." She raved about the possible teams and speculated what twenty-four wrestlers would be involved. Then, she turned her attention to new Cruiserweight Champion Zack Sabre, Jr. Kelley congratulated Sabre on his victory, but mentioned the distraction caused by Taichi and his entourage. Sabre stated that no distraction was needed and that it was only a matter of time before the championship was to be his. He further stated that he will dominate the championship just as he has all of his competition. Sabre closed out the interview with the parting words that '''Euro Trash' owns all the championships and that's not going to change." Kelley then interviewed new Mid-Atlantic Champion Ricochet. Ricochet was joined by friends CM Punk and AJ Lee. He said it was good to be back on top and that, though he was only without the title for a week, it still feels good to be back. Punk and AJ congratulated their friend and threw their name in the hat as competitors in the "Mixed Match Challenge." Lee said that the two could "do some damage" with $100,000. Kelley signed off with that.
