So I just attended this show. I'll post my notes and comments on the show as best as I could make out lol.
First off to start the show some guy in a Cowboy hat called Aaron Presley came out and tried to excite the crowd. Said "Thanks for coming" went for a few cheap pops by shouting the name of the town...all that kinda jazz.
Then this Barbarian looking Tag team consisting of a dude named Titan and another guy...didn't catch his name came out looking all crazy, and said the last time they were in the ring with Presley it didn't work out so well for him.
Then the dudes that are apparently the Tag Team Champs come out. Action Jackson and Big Daddy Yum Yum lol...they run these guys out of the ring, and the guy in the Cowboy hat sets a match between those two for later in the evening.
But that's later.
Match 1: I didn't catch the names of either of these guys, but one of 'em was a member of the "Mobile Home Mafia" lol. The most memorable moment of the match was when the guys pulled an Elmer Fudd moment. The babyface wrestler pulled the other guys nuts into the ring post, and the referee jumped outside the ring to warn him saying "Hey you can't do (pulls the guy into the post) this" lol.
Match 2: Scott Murdoch vs (something) Taylor
Murdoch was the defending Central Louisiana Champion apparently. Pretty standard heel, but a big dude. He entered the ring to The Scorpions "The Zoo" so I instantly liked him. He successfully defended the title.
Match 3: Bam Bam Malone vs Estrella Galactica
This was billed as an "Undisputed Cruiserweight Championship" match. They each entered the ring with a title belt. These guys tried to have a pretty quick paced, high flying match but honestly they botched a lot of moves and tried to rush things a bit too much. They would've done well to just calm down, but overall it went ok.
Match 4: The Pillars of Destiny vs Chocolate City
Tag Team Championship match. This was billed as a "Natchitoches Street Fight"...they cracked each other with garbage cans, baking sheets, brooms, a ladder got in there...all kinds of shit. Pretty crazy match. They fought out into the crowd at one point, and got onto a stage in the Gymnasium. The match ended when the referee went down, and another referee came out there and totally Nick Patrick'd the Champs. He only counted 2 when they had the guy pinned and just wouldn't count 3 for them, and then he fast counted them when the bad guys pinned 'em. New Tag Champions! The crowd was not happy lol.
Match 5: Vordell Walker vs Johnny Swole
This was one for the Main Event Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. Just kinda an impromptu match that they didn't even mention at the beginning of the night. Walker came out and started talking shit about how he'd been Champion for a year and defended in Arizona, Louisiana, Texas and elsewhere. Then Johnny comes out there and the match begins. Wasn't much of a match but Johnny Swole ultimately won, and then it got a little cheesy as he acted like he was Shawn Michaels winning the Iron Man Match at WrestleMania 12 lol.
All the guys came out of the back to praise him for his win, and the thanked Big Daddy Yum Yum who he said was like a father to him.
So yeah...that was how that went down.
