William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Guys, we have some intriguing match-ups this evening, the least of which is our 'Intergender Tag Team' match that will see Kota Ibushi team with the wife of Taichi Ishikari to take on Taichi and his girlfriend slash valet Miho Abe!"
Michael Hayes: "Yeah, that one still has me scratching my head! But, I'm looking forward to 'War Machine' challenging the Usos for the Tag Team Championship!"
Jim Cornette: "Bogus! That should be one of my teams, not 'War Machine!' we've beaten them multiple times!"
Regal: "Easy, Jim. If that's not enough, in our main event, Brock Lesnar will defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Braun Strowman! What an hour! So, let's get it started!"
Match One ~ "Intergender Tag Team" match ~ Kota Ibushi and Ofune vs. Taichi Ishikari & Miho Abe
Abe had to be consoled by Taichi upon entering the ring.
Meanwhile, Ofune came ready to fight and wore the trademark mask she used during her competition days.
The match itself was odd. Every time Ibushi tagged Ofune to get Miho in the ring, Abe would cower and immediately tag Taichi back in. Ofune never got her hands on Miho. The crowd soon would know why. Ofune finally grabbed Miho before she could get away. Abe screamed in terror as Ofune smiled. She then pulled Miho close and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Miho was stunned, as was Ibushi, the audience, and the commentary team. Ofune then slowly walked over to Taichi, who was in stunned silence, and planted a huge kiss on his lips. Ibushi jumped into the ring and confronted Ofune, only to be hit with a low blow. Ofune had Miho tag in Taichi, who quickly hit "Black Mephisto" for the pin.
Winners = Taichi Ishikari & Miho Abe by pinfall in 7:08
Taichi left the ring with Ofune and Abe arm-in-arm with him. Miho looked slightly confused, but Ofune had a large grin on her face.
Regal: "What just happened?! So, the whole thing's a ruse?!"
Hayes: "It looks that way! Ofune just swerved everybody in the building, especially Kota Ibushi!"
Cornette: "The entire situation is weird to me! I hope Taichi can handle both women!"
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, we'll take a break."
Regal: "We're back! Fans, for the sake of time, we're going straight to the ring for our next match! Let's get ready for this colossal tag team encounter!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ Jimmy & Jey Uso with "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall vs. "War Machine" ("WarBeard" Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe)
This was every bit the hard-hitting encounter the fans expected. Both teams use great tandem offense in very different ways. The Usos like quick-striking moves, whereas "War Machine" uses their size and strength to muscle their opponents around. There was great chemistry between the two teams and the counter wrestling was impressive. Rowe was isolated by the champions for some time, but weathered the storm and continued to go hard. He tagged in Hanson at the end. Hanson came in and cleaned house, really firing on all cylinders. Just as it looked like the climax of the match was about to happen, all of "Camp Cornette" ran down to ringside and marred the finish. They attacked Scott Hall, then jumped into the ring and went after all four participants in the match, leaving them laying.
Winners = no contest in 25:19 (The Usos retain)
Regal: "Jim, what the heck was that?!"
Cornette: "Hey, I'm minding my own business calling this great match. I can't be held responsible for that!"
Hayes: "Yeah, right! You put out a hit on both of those teams!"
Cornette: "Believe what you want! All I can say is that my men just proved a point out there, and it's that no one is better than 'Camp Cornette!'"
Regal: "Deny it all you want. We know you had that attack planned! Fans, we'll take another break and we'll be back with our World Championship main event! stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back from the break and ready for action! before we go to the ring, 'SoCal' Val is standing by with Eve Torres and World Champion Brock Lesnar."
Valerie Wyndham: "I am here with the World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and the executive Administrator of 'The Richards Collective,' Eve Torres. Brock, you are set to face the stiff challenge of Braun Strowman for the World Championship in moments. What is you mindset?"
Eve Torres: "Valerie, please direct all of your questions to me. The World Champion is much too focused to deal with your distractions. Brock Lesnar is a master of preparation. That's why he has dominated this championship and is the only man to win it twice since the NWA reboot. No one can outthink or outwrestle this man. He is 'The Beast,' after all! He's not a mere man. Now, Braun Strowman may claim that he's a monster. But, he knows that he pales in comparison to Brock Lesnar, and that will be proven as soon as the bell rings. We're done here."
Wyndham: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Well fans, it's time for the irresistible force to meet the immovable object! Brock Lesnar versus Braun Strowman for the NWA World Championship is next!"
Match Three ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis
Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 15:35
Regal: "What a match! That was every bit the war we thought it would be! But, Brock Lesnar prevails once again after a thunderous 'F-5!' He's unstoppable!"
Hayes: "It sure does seem that way! He just beat the most fearsome competitor to come down the pike in a long time!"
Cornette: "Brock Lesnar is a freakish athlete. At his size, he can do things that some cruiserweights dream of! His strength is off the charts. His quickness is astounding. The man really is a beast!"
Regal: "I agree wholeheartedly. Whether you like the politics of 'The Richards Collective' or not, you have to give Brock Lesnar his due as the most dominant World Champion of this generation. Fans, we are all out of time for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, log onto www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley immediately following this broadcast! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as usual.
Kelley spent most of her time discussing the dominance of Brock Lesnar, begging the question, "If Braun Strowman can't stop him, who can?" Kelley then interviewed new United States Champion Kevin Steen and asked him first about the attack on "War Machine" and the Usos. Steen smugly declared, "They needed to be sent a subtle reminder of who runs the tag team division in this company." Kelley then asked him about the demands of defending the United States Championship. Steen talked about the prestige and heritage of the championship, which dates back to 1975. He further stated that he will greatly enhance that prestige and heritage and plans to go down in history as "the greatest US Champion who ever lived," and that he'd be laughing the whole time because it was almost poetic that it would take a Canadian to make a United States Championship mean something. With that, Kelley signed off.
