William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Fellas, we are two days removed from the fantastic SuperBrawl pay-per-view, which saw some huge moments for NWA: Show Time!"
Michael Hayes: "You said it, Billy boy! Braun Strowman showed what a hoss he is by surviving everyone else in 'World War 3!'"
Jim Cornette: "Don't forget the most important thing that happened! Kevin Steen won the US Title in the main event!"
Regal: "Yes. Indeed he did, Jim. Right after you cracked Samoa Joe in the head with your tennis racket."
Cornette: "All's fair in love and war! What Sunday really proved is that Kevin is the king of the 'Gauntlet' match! He's won both the World and US belts in 'Gauntlets!'"
Regal: "It is an impressive feat, no doubt. This week fans, we have a whale of an episode! We'll see 'War Machine' in action against Benjamin and Gable! Kota Ibushi defends the Cruiserweight Championship against Adrian Neville and Trent Seven in a 'Three-Way!' And, in a special treat, we'll have Bobby Roode defending the Television Championship against CM Punk in the main event! Let's get this hour started!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Kota Ibushi vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville vs. Trent Seven
What a contrast in styles. The champion Ibushi combines strong style striking with aerial ability. Neville is insanely talented and can fly. Seen is a ground-and-pound European machine. He provides a certain flair that entertains the masses as well. There were several phenomenal moments in the match. It boiled down to being in the right place at the right time. Neville landed "Red Arrow" on Seven. Before he could make the cover, Ibushi hit him in the back with a "Phoenix Splash" and made the pin on Seven himself to retain.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Kota Ibushi by pinfall in 20:23
Regal: "Fantastic outing for all parties involved. Ibushi stole that one to hold on to his championship!"
Just then, this beautiful young lady walked down the aisle:
She slowly stepped into the ring and walked right up to Ibushi. he seemed to recognize her, but was very standoffish. She began to rub Ibushi's chest. He tried to back away, but she persisted. Then, an unidentified Japanese male ran in from the crowd and attacked Ibushi, leaving him laying after striking him several times with a microphone stand. The man and woman then posed for the crowd:
Regal: "What have we just seen here?! Kota Ibushi was distracted by this young lady, then was attacked from behind by a microphone wielding assailant!"
Hayes: "I don't get it! Who is this guy?!"
Cornette: "Whoever he and she are, they obviously had a mission to take out Kota Ibushi!"
Regal: "It appears so. Fans, we need to take a commercial break. We'll be back with more in just a moment."
Regal: "We're back. We're still trying to regain our bearings after witnessing that bizarre attack on Kota Ibushi. We have gotten word from officials in the back that the identity of the unknown assailant is Taichi Ishikari and the young lady is his valet Miho Abe. The two have just been signed to a contract and Taichi will compete alongside Kota Ibushi in the Cruiserweight Division. Now that I hear the name, I recognize who he is. Taichi comes very highly regarded from Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he was the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion. He also competed in New Japan as a part of the invading Suzuki-gun faction. He is a tremendous athlete and he certainly has everyone's attention now, especially that of Kota Ibushi! Fans, we need to go back to the ring for some explosive tag team action!"
Match Two ~ "War Machine" ("WarBeard" Hanson & Raymond "Death" Rowe) vs. "The All-Americans" (Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable with "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle)
"War Machine" is one of the most fearsome tag teams in the world. They were at their smash mouth best. However, Benjamin and Gable have very quickly become a force to be reckoned with in their short time as a team. Gable was a "Suplex" machine in this match. He has become more and more impressive, especially since joining forces with Benjamin under the tutelage of legend Angle. Gable was the surprising star of this battle. But, "War Machine" had victory in hand at the end. They hit Shelton with their trademark "Fallout." However, Angle broke up the pin to cause the disqualification.
Winners = "War Machine" by disqualification in 15:48
Regal: "Another great match-up! 'War Machine' had that one in the bag, but Angle saved the pin."
Hayes: "I guess a DQ loss is better than being pinned."
Cornette: "Dang right it is! Being disqualified leaves the finish in doubt and keeps Benjamin and Gable in the pecking order. A clean loss would have dropped them down the contenders list! But, it doesn't matter what these teams do! They all have to stand in line behind 'Camp Cornette!'"
Regal: "Speaking of which, we've received word from Commissioner Ric Flair that 'The Revival' will get a championship rematch against the Usos shortly, possibly as early as next week!"
Cornette: "It's about time we get a fair shake from Flair! And, it better be next week!"
Regal: "I guess we'll all have to wait and see. Fans, we'll take another break, then be back with our main event! Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back from commercial. Before we go to the ring for our Television Championship main event, 'SoCal' Val is standing by with the Television Champion Bobby Roode and Maryse Ouellet."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with the NWA: Show Time Television Champion, 'Glorious' Bobby Roode and his valet Maryse. Bobby, you'll be defending the title in minutes against CM Punk. You two were part of that brutal 'World War 3' match on Sunday. Are you physically up to the task of defending the title tonight?"
Bobby Roode: "Don't insult my intelligence! Bobby Roode is always ready to defend this championship! I am the greatest Television Champion in this company's history! I will prove to CM Punk who the better man is!"
Maryse: "And, it will be absolutely...glorious!"
Roode and Maryse walked away.
Wyndham: "There you have it. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thank you, Val! Joanna Rose is in the challenger's locker room. Let's take you there now."
Joanna Rose: "I'm here with CM Punk and wife AJ Lee. You'll be taking on Bobby Roode for the Television Championship in mere moments. What is your mindset going into this match?"
CM Punk: "It's pretty simple, really. I've never held the Television CHampionship, so I want it. Plus, I hate Bobby Roode and everyone else in 'The Richards Collective.' So, when I beat him, victory will be even sweeter!"
Rose: "You have just come through the grueling 'World War 3' match at SuperBrawl. How are you feeling?"
Punk: "I'll admit I'm a little beat up. But, so is Roode. We're on an even playing field as far as I'm concerned. AJ here is going to make sure of that."
Rose: "I assume you mean by neutralizing Maryse Ouellet outside the ring."
AJ Lee: "Exactly. If that little tart sticks her nose into the match, I'm going to knock it off!"
Rose: "Good luck out there. William, back to you."
Regal: "Thanks, Joanna! Fans, this should be a good one."
Cornette: "Wait a minute! Did Joanna Rose just wish CM Punk good luck?! What kind of impartial journalism is that?! Besides, if he truly is the best in the world as he claims, he won't need luck against Bobby Roode! Personally, I think it's garbage and I fully expect Roode to retain the championship!"
Regal: "We're about to find out! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Maryse Ouellet vs. CM Punk with AJ Lee
Punk took the fight right to Roode, who seemed a step slow in the early going. Punk showed no ill affects from the battle at SuperBrawl, but Roode clearly was hampered. Still, Bobby managed to gain the advantage for quite some time in the match. Punk fought valiantly and began his comeback. He had Roode on the ropes after tossing him into the corner and hitting a "Step-up Knee" to the face. He looked to be setting up for his patented "Go to Sleep" when Maryse pulled the referee out of the ring. The referee began to berate Maryse for interfering. AJ Lee ran over a jumped Maryse to begin a catfight that got the crowd to its feet. The referee was trying to break up the two warring females. Punk hoisted Roode up for the "GTS," but Bounty Hunter Mesias ran down to the ring and clipped Punk in the back with a steel chair. He then hit the "Flatliner" onto the chair, sending Punk face first into the cold steel. Mesias placed Roode on top of Punk and ran to the back as the referee hopped back into the ring. When he saw Roode on top of Punk, he immediately made the pin count.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Bobby roode by pinfall in 22:43
Regal: "There was blatant interference all around in that match. First, Maryse pulls the referee out of the ring. Then, Bounty Hunter Mesias laid Punk out with a chair!"
Hayes: "Punk had Roode up for the "GTS," then it went downhill from there!"
Cornette: "The bottom line is that the better man won!"
Regal: "I don't think a better man was proven with all that interference. either way, Punk was taken advantage of and you know that won't sit well with him! Fans, we're out of time for this week. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! Also, log on to www.nwashowtime.com right now to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelley! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as usual.
Kelley was in the midst of running down the SuperBrawl card when CM Punk and AJ Lee burst into the studio area.
CM Punk: "Enough is enough! I've had it! Mesias has interfered in too many of our matches! He's cost me victories and now championships! Mesias, you two-bit thug, I want you in the ring next week, 'Loser Leaves Town' for good! This company isn't big enough for both of us! So, if you have any guts, you'll face me next week with that stipulation!"
Kelley then began to speculate as to whether or not Mesias would take the match. CEO Jordan walked in with Commissioner Ric Flair and Karlee Perez, Richards' personal assistant and friend of Bounty Hunter Mesias.
Jordan Richards: "Karlee just had a word with Mesias. He has agreed to Punk's stipulation, but we've added one of our own. It will be 'Loser Leaves Town,' but it also will be 'No Disqualification!'"
Karlee Perez: "Next week Punk, we will put the 'Kiss of Death' on you!"
Ric Flair: "Wooooo!"
The three left triumphantly.
Kelley: "Wow! It looks like we have a huge main event for the Show Time Power Hour next week! You'd better not miss it!"
With that, Kelley signed off.
