William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Gents, we have a whale of a program this week!"
Michael Hayes: "Yes sir, Billy boy! Kota Ibushi will put the Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Zack Sabre, Jr. in a dream match!"
Jim Cornette: "Plus, we're going to have my tag team, 'The Insurgence,' finish what 'Sons of Steel' started last week and teach the Usos a lesson!"
Regal: "Our main event will pit CM Punk and Ricochet against Adam Cole and Bobby Roode! And, we're starting the night off with tag team action! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ "American Alpha" (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) with "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle vs. "House of Truth" (Shelton Benjamin & Jay Lethal with Truth Martini and "Hoopla Hotties" {Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva})
This was shaping up to be an epic opener, as all four men had their athletic prowess on display. "American Alpha" has such well-designed tandem offense. Though Benjamin and Lethal are not regular teammates, they are NWA: Show Time originals and have spent quite some time together in "HoT." The only oddity of the contest was the fact that Shelton wanted no part of Chad Gable. He would only wrestle in segments against Jordan. when Gable was tagged in, Benjamin would quickly tag Lethal. The match was going along swimmingly until around seven minutes in. Kurt Angle, mentor to "AA," looked over at Benjamin, his old "Team Angle" buddy, and nodded. Benjamin then hopped down from the apron and walked away with Kurt as the match continued. Truth Martini was livid at Benjamin. Lethal was a sitting duck. He fell victim to "Grand Amplitude."
Winners = "American Alpha" by pinfall in 8:04
Regal: "What a bizarre turn of events! Shelton Benjamin simply walked away from his teammate and left with his old friend Kurt Angle!"
Hayes: "We knew that old partnership would be a part of this match, but we never expected it to play out like this!"
Cornette: "That was weird, even by my standards!"
"American Alpha" went to the back quickly. A camera followed them as they caught up with Kurt Angle and confronted he and Shelton Benjamin.
Jason Jordan: "Kurt, what's going on?! What are you doing with this piece of garbage?!"
Shelton Benjamin: "Hey! You better watch who you're talking to, junior!"
Kurt Angle: "Calm down! Jason, Shelton Benjamin is one of my best friends in the business. We ran the roads together for years! It was inevitable that we come back together! This is a good thing!"
Jordan: "Not from where I'm sitting!"
Angle: "Listen, Shelton is with us now! Either you're with all of us or you're against us!"
Jordan: "Seriously?! You're giving me an ultimatum?!" Who do you think you are?!"
Gable then blasted Jordan from behind. Benjamin joined in as Angle sat back and shook his head. Gable and Benjamin held Jordan by the head and face as Angle berated him.
Angle: "You can't just get along, can you?! Jason Jordan, you are an ignorant fool! Now, you're going to pay the price!"
Angle then slapped Jordan across the face as the three decimated him. They left him laying as they walked away smugly.
Regal: "Oh my! This escalated quickly!"
Hayes: "I guess Jason Jordan is out and Shelton Benjamin is in!"
Cornette: "I'd say that's an upgrade! Shelton Benjamin is one of the best athletes of the last fifteen years! Jason Jordan is a poor man's 'Shelty B!'"
Regal: "Indeed. Whatever the case, that partnership has dissolved rapidly and that was an ugly beating Jason Jordan just took. Fans, let's go to commercial."
Regal: "We're back! Fans, this next match is sure to set the building ablaze! Kota Ibushi defends the Cruiserweight Championship against Zack Sabre, Jr.!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Kota Ibushi vs. Zack Sabre, Jr. with "The Villain" Marty Scurll
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Kota Ibushi by pinfall in 15:55
Regal: "What a match! The Cruiserweights know how to put on a show!"
Hayes: "Ibushi and Sabre are two of the best, pound-for-pound, in the world!"
Cornette: "I was mildly amused by those 'spot monkeys.' All in all, it was good."
Regal: "Fans, we'll return in a moment. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! Jim, you're about to lead another team into battle against Scott Hall and the Usos! Last week, you said you were happey with this match being signed. Good luck to your men!"
Cornette: "First of all, we don't need luck! My three teams are the best there is! Secondly, the match itself is not all I am happy about! Commissioner Flair has banned that dime store reject Scott Hall from ringside for this match! How do you like them apples?!"
Hayes: "Well, that definitely shifts the odds in your favor!"
Cornette: "As if they weren't already?! Sit back and watch us go to work!"
Regal: "All right. We'll give Jim his leave as he ushers 'The Insurgence' to the ring for our semi-main event!"
Match Three ~ "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall is banned from ringside for the match ~ Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. "The Insurgence" (Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli) with Jim Cornette
Hall tried to come to the ring and protest, but Commissioner Flair came out with Security and had him escorted to the back. The match began with Steen and Claudio on the offensive. The Usos were taken aback by their manager's dismissal for sure. They took quite a few minutes to gain traction. When they did, it was an evenly fought match to the end. Ultimately, it was a little "twin magic" that turned the tide. Jimmy Uso was down and out. Jey had been knocked to the floor. Steen hit a "Frogsplash" on Jimmy. He covered, but could not get the count because the referee was admonishing Jey to get back to his corner. Jey complied, but spat at Castagnoli. Claudio jumped into the ring and went after Jey. Cornette and Kevin were screaming at the referee as well. Castagnoli was held back by the referee, who sent him to the corner. In the meantime, Jey rolled Jimmy out of the ring and laid down in his place. Steen bent over to grab Jey (whom he thought was Jimmy). Jey quickly rolled up Steen into a "Small Package" for the pin before Castagnoli could break it up.
Winners = The Usos by pinfall in 14:39
Regal: "What a chaotic ending that saw Jey Uso switch himself for his brother Jimmy and fool Kevin Steen for the pinfall!"
Hayes: "Jimmy Cornette is beside himself right now! I thought he was going to have a coronary last week! We may lose him for sure tonight!"
Regal: "He looks like he's burst every blood vessel in his head by now! Fans, we need to go to commercial and try to calm Jim down before he gets back on commentary. We'll be back!"
Regal: "We're back from the break!"
Cornette: "And, I am pissed off! We got screwed by those d*** Usos again this week!"
Regal: "Jim, please calm down! Let's cut away to Joanna Rose, who is backstage with CM Punk and Ricochet."
Joanna Rose: "I am here with CM Punk, AJ Lee, and Ricochet. Now, you two gentlemen are set to face Adam Cole and Bobby Roode in our main event. Give us your thoughts."
CM Punk: "Our thoughts are simply this. All three of us have been railroaded by Jordan Richards and his 'Collective' at one point or another. Adam Cole has been one of the ring leaders since the group came to be. Well, Ricochet and I have seen the error in joining forces with them. Now, we will stop at nothing short of ending 'The Richards Collective' once and for all!"
Ricochet: "Tonight, Punk will hit them low and I'll hit them high! Adam Cole and Bobby Roode, you're about to face 'The Best in the World,' and we don't intend to lose!"
AJ lee: "It's about to get crazy. And, they say I know crazy."
Rose: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thanks, Joanna. 'SoCal' Val is in the locker room of Adam Cole and Bobby Roode. Let's hear their rebuttal."
Valerie Wyndham: "I am here with members of 'The Richards Collective,' NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole and Television Champion 'Glorious' Bobby Roode. You just heard the comments of CM Punk and Ricochet. What do you have to say?"
Bobby Roode: "If those idiots think, for one minute, that they can take out 'The Richards Collective,' they've got another thing coming! They call themselves 'The Best in the World,' but we're out here every night proving that we are the best! These championship belts around our waists say that we run NWA: Show Time and nothing can change that! Now, we're about to beat CM Punk and Ricochet into oblivion! And, when we do, Adam and I will sit back and admire our work. Because, it will be...glorious!"
Adam Cole: "CM Punk, do you think for a second, that you and Ricochet are even in our league?! Not a chance, pal! That's why we're in 'The Richards Collective' and you're not! 'The Best in the World' may be a clever catchphrase and it may look good on a t-shirt. But, no one ever got to be the best just by saying it! The best are the guys who travel the roads and keep winning night in and night out against everyone thrown at them! Bobby Roode and I, along with the World Champion Brock Lesnar and The Rock, are the best d*** pro wrestlers on the planet. CM Punk, Ricochet, and even you, you psycho hussy AJ Lee, listen up! You walk to the ring saying you're the best, but we'll walk away from the ring knowing we're the best! You're about to get a wrestling lesson from 'Glorious' Bobby Roode and Adam Cole...bay bay."
Wyndham: "You heard it here first. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thanks, Valerie! Fans, this should be good!"
Match Four ~ "The Richards Collective" (Adam Cole & "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Britt Baker and Maryse Ouellet) vs. "The Best in the World" (CM Punk & Ricochet with AJ Lee)
The match started as a four-way brawl and didn't get much further than that. It seldom looked like a traditional tag team match. Ricochet was hitting dives inside and outside the ring. He hit a scintillating "Moonsault" from inside to outside the ring without using any ropes. It was breathtaking. Punk hit a "Suicide Dive" himself. For the second week in a row, the action disintegrated. "The New Face of Fear" came out and attacked everyone in sight.
Winners = no contest in 17:41
Regal: "Fans, this is a massive war we have going on between these three groups! Something has to give!"
Hayes: "They might just tear the place apart!"
Cornette: "Somebody will have hell to pay when it's all said and done!"
Regal: "I'd agree with that statement, Jim! We need Security out here to break this up! Heck, we might have to call in the army! Fans, we are rapidly running out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to tune into to www.nwashowtime.com for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley, immediately following our broadcast! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as normal.
Cathy discussed the three-way feud that has developed between "The Richards Collective," "The New Face of Fear," and "The Best in the World." She noted how it doesn't seem that Commissioner Flair or even CEO Jordan Richards has control of it. Kelley speculated at what lengths the factions would go to in order to win a war of this magnitude. The Usos stopped by for an interview with their manager "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall. Hall reasoned that, since they've defeated two former NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions, that they were in line for a shot at "The Revival." Jimmy and Jey both reiterated this point and invited Dash and Dawson to the "Uso Penitentiary." With that, Kelley signed off.
