Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest hour on television, Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. I'm here in the WRAL Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina. This week, NWA: Femme Fatales is presenting a special retrospective following Winter WonderSlam 2K17, the historic event that took place this past Saturday in the Greensboro Coliseum. There were five great Femme Fatales matches on that card, and I'll be showing you highlights of them all. Also, we'll conclude the broadcast with a special interview that was conducted with Women's Champion Priscilla Kelly and Sakura after the shocking 'Steel Cage' match that saw Kelly retain over Io Shirai with Sakura's help. So, let's go to action from the event right now."
Match One ~ "Grudge" match ~ "The Asylum" ("Crazy" Mary Dobson & Ruby Riot) vs. AJ Lee & a mystery partner
No one knew quite what to expect from AJ, considering that her best friend was out of the country. Lee has made very few lasting friends over the years, making far many more enemies. But, she did have an old friend help her out. Fans were shocked when they heard this familiar entrance:
...and saw this familiar face:
Former NWA: Femme Fatales star and current NWA: AZCW talent Paige made her surprise return, presumably for one night only. It was clear Riot and Dobson were taken aback. AJ's choice of partner was a good one. She and Paige clicked like they had in years past. Paige ultimately got the pin after a "RamPaige" on Dobson.
Winners = AJ Lee & Paige by pinfall in 10:55
Match Two ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Tag Team Championship ~ "Power Stones" (Jurina Matsui & Shiroma Miru) vs. "The Dynasty" ("So on Flowers" {Aoi Kizuki & Moeka Haruhi} with Sumire Natsu)
Natsu, leader of "The Dynasty," has been hell bent on capturing Bantamweight gold for her group ever since she herself lost the Bantamweight Championship several months ago. Sumire tried constant interference, but all to no avail. "Power Stones" are one of the most talented young teams in recent memory. They have dominated the Bantamweight Tag Team Championship since winning it. The fact that both women are only twenty is astounding. They have become fine students of the game. They ended up winning with their signature "Power Driver" (opposite corner "Missile Dropkicks") on Haruhi.
Winners and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Bantamweight Tag Team Champions = "Power Stones" by pinfall in 13:41
Match Three ~ "Mask vs. Hair Street Fight" ~ If Taya loses, her hair will be sheared; if Sexy Star loses, she must unmask forever ~ Taya vs. Sexy Star
Star took the fight right to Taya. This was a "Street Fight" in every sense of the word. Both ladies went at each other with a frenzy. Taya ended up a bloody mess before all was done.
Sexy had Taya dead to rights before Katya came out and hit a "Roundhouse Kick" to Sexy's head that knocked her out cold. Taya crawled over for the pin. The referee had no choice but to count.
Winner = Taya by pinfall in 20:07
Per the pre-match stipulation, Star reluctantly unmasked. Her trepidation was clear and she even clinched her fist as she handed the mask to Taya, who gloated and laughed maniacally.
Match Four ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Trios Championship ~ "The Four Horsewomen" ("Money in the Bank" Mercedes KV, "Lass Kicker" Becky Lynch, & Davina Martinez with Charlotte Flair) vs. Kairi Hojo, Mayu Iwatani, & Saki Akai
Workrate wise, this was the match of the night by a mile. These six ladies tore the house down. Hojo, Iwatani, and Akai had not worked together outside of Japan, but were the well oiled machine they had been in the Orient. The "Horsewomen" are who they are. Martinez, in particular, was more sadistic than normal as she grinded away at her opponents and looked for submissions. Ultimately, the challengers had things going their way. All six women were brawling at the end. In the confusion, Lynch went for an "O'Connor Roll" on Akai. Saki collided with KV, who was on the apron. Lynch held the tights for the three (outside the referee's view) on the dazed Akai, who was trying frantically to kick out.
Winners and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Trios Champions = "The Four Horsewomen" by pinfall in 22:19
Match Five ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Women's Championship ~ "Steel Cage" match ~ Priscilla Kelly with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis vs. Io Shirai with "The Boss" Manami Toyota
This was a brutal encounter, even more so than the "Street Fight" from earlier. Both women bled before it was over. Shirai was intent on regaining the championship that had been stolen and subsequently won from her by Kelly. Priscilla used her seductive ways to play minds games throughout the match, but Io fought through her ploys. Shirai had Kelly in her sights and scaled the ropes for a picturesque "Moonsault." Unbeknownst to Io, Sakura had run down to ringside and climbed up the outside of the cage. As the referee began to count, Sakura leapt down onto Io's back with a double "Kneedrop." Shirai was crunched and rolled off of Kelly. Sakura dragged Kelly's lifeless body over and threw her arm on top of Shirai's chest. Sakura then screamed for the referee to count, which she did.
Winner and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Women's Champion = Priscilla Kelly by pinfall in 18:37
Sakura helped Kelly out of the ring and they walked to the back. After they made it backstage, Kelly and Sakura were apparently stopped by interviewer Lilian Garcia. Madusa introduced the interview and it was aired for the first time.
Lilian Garcia: "Priscilla! Priscilla! I have to get a word from you and Sakura! You just successfully defended your championship against Io Shirai with a big assist from Sakura. But, just this past Thursday, you two looked to be opponents and not friends. What happened?"
Priscilla Kelly: "All is not always as it seems. What you saw as a confrontation was merely two souls coming together. It was a meeting of the minds. Sakura now understands her true path."
Garcia: "But, we saw you screaming in Sakura's face. She was doing everything in her power to resist you."
Kelly: "Resistance is futile. Sakura knows that now. I was merely piercing her soul with my siren's song. She is one of us."
Garcia: "One of us?"
Kelly: "Yes, Sakura is one of us. Plain and simple. We are a family."
Garcia: "Sakura, do you have something to say?"
Sakura: "Kill."
Garcia: "OK. Thank you for your time."
Miceli: "Well, there you have it from the Women's Champion. Fans, it was a historic night that saw some historic action. Two thousand eighteen is looking even brighter fro NWA: Femme Fatales! That's going to do it for this hour. Please join us again next Thursday on TNT for more Femme Fatales! I'm Madusa Miceli. Happy New Year and keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
