William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Guys, as you know, NWA: Show Time and NWA: Femme Fatales has just announced our very first joint supercard of wrestling on Saturday, December twenty-third in the historic Greensboro Coliseum! 'Winter WonderSlam 2K17' will be a huge night of action! Two big matches have already been announced for the eight-match card, which means NWA: Show Time still has two more matches left to unveil! That will happen tonight!"
Michael Hayes: "Whether you like Jordan Richards or not, the man knows business. And, this card is big business!"
Jim Cornette: "I can't wait to hear what two matches he has left from this company! If he really wants to make money, he'll put 'Camp Cornette' on the card!"
Regal: "Speaking of, how are negotiations going with 'The Insurgence?'"
Cornette: "I'm glad you asked that question. They have promised me an answer tonight!"
Regal: "We'll see how that shakes out shortly, then, as they're scheduled to be in action against your men 'Sons of Steel.' Besides that and the big announcement, we also have a Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship match that will pit 'Catch Point' against 'Euro Trash!' That should be a dandy! Also, in our first match of the night, 'Fire-n-Nice' have demanded to defend their NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Night Ultra Championship against a female tag team from NWA: Show Time. The problem is that we don't have a female tag team in NWA: Show Time. So, I'm not exactly sure how this will work. Let's go to the ring and find out."
Match One ~ NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Night Ultra Championship ~ "Fire-n-Nice" Britt Baker & Chelsea Green with Eve Torres vs. ?
Baker and Green came out wearing their championship belts and holding the ultra trophy. Baker had a microphone.
Britt Baker: "Now, we went to Commissioner Flair and asked to defend our titles on this program. He agreed that it would be must-see TV! So, we are going to face a team of women who have been here for a long, long time! we want to prove we're the dominant women in this company, so we're calling out the 'Hoopla Hotties!'"
Regal: "What?! They've never wrestled in this company! They've been valets since day one! What a farce!"
"Hoopla Hotties" Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva came to ringside puzzled. Truth Martini then came out with a microphone.
Truth Martini: "What's the meaning of this?! These women don't wrestle! They're all about the hoopla! What are you trying to pull?!"
Green: "Hey! They've been here longer than we have, so we need to beat them to prove we're the top women here!"
Baker: "Yeah, and besides, you should let them decide if they have the guts to face us!"
Blakkhartt grabbed the microphone from Martini.
Shotzi Blakkhartt: "Truth, we got this! Hey girls, we're not afraid to get in the ring and kick your teeth down your throats! We all were wrestlers before we were 'Hoopla Hotties!'"
Baker: "Then, let's go!"
Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Adiva decided to play "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to decide which two would get the title shot. Shotzi and Zahra both went with rock, while Dana chose scissors, leaving her out. She hyped up her teammates as they headed to the ring. This match was much more competitive than the champions bargained for. Shotzi and Zahra displayed their athleticism. The champions were on their heels as the upstart challengers took the fight to them. Truth Martini cheered his charges on and high-fived Dana as they kept building momentum. Torres looked nervous on the outside. She got into a shouting match with Martini and Adiva, slapping Martini and tussling with Dana. Zahra, who was in control inside the ring at that point, became distracted and hit a "Suicide Dive" on Torres. When she hopped back into the ring, she ate an "Unprettier" by Green. Baker tripped up Shotzi before she could make the save.
Winners and STILL NWA: Femme Fatales Ladies Night Ultra Champions = "Fire-n-Nice" by pinfall in 10:42
Regal: "Great showing by the 'Hoopla Hotties,' who were in it until the end!"
Hayes: "Yeah, Britt and Chelsea are lucky to walk away with those titles intact! That was a close call for them!"
Cornette: "A win's a win! Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, and the 'Hoopla Hotties' don't get the winner's purse by being close!"
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, we'll be back after this quick break. Stay with us!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back. Before we see this next tag team match, Joanna Rose is backstage with 'The Insurgence.' Joanna, take it away."
Joanna Rose: "Thank you, William. I'm here with Kevin Steen and Claudio Castagnoli, collectively known as 'The Insurgence.' Now, you've been invited by Jim Cornette to join his 'Camp Cornette' stable, alongside 'The Revival' and 'Sons of Steel.' But, you've decided to honor the booking of a match against 'Sons of Steel' next. Does that mean your answer is no?"
Kevin Steen: "Well Joanna, we've thought long and hard about Cornette's offer for the last couple of weeks. He's a legend with a proven track record. But, we're just not sure being in 'Camp Cornette' is a good deal for us."
With that, 'The Insurgence' walked away.
Rose: "Well, I guess that answers the question. Back to you, William."
Regal: "So, it would seem that 'The Insurgence' has turned down our broadcast colleague Jim Cornette."
Hayes: "That won't sit well with the 'Louisville Lip.' I'm sure he'll have plenty to say about that when he gets a headset back on!"
Regal: "I'm afraid you're right. Let's go to the ring."
Match Two ~ "Sons of Steel" (Boomer Payne & Brice Anthony) with Jim Cornette vs. "The Insurgence" (Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli)
Cornette was verbally lambasting Steen and Castagnoli outside the ring for the "stupid mistake" they made by not choosing to join "Camp Cornette." They blew him off and Steen locked up with Payne. Immediately, Steen dropped back first to the mat like he had been shot. Payne looked confused, but slowly made a cover on the prone Steen.
Winners = "Sons of Steel" by pinfall in 0:08
Regal: "What just happened?! Steen laid down for the pin voluntarily?!"
Hayes: "What kind of game is this?!"
Steen jumped up and grabbed a microphone.
Steen: "We told that tramp in the back that joining 'Camp Cornette' was not a good deal for us. We weren't lying. It's not a good deal. It's a great deal! We accept!"
Steen and Castangoli shook hands with Cornette and "SoS." They were soon joined by Tag Team Champions "The Revival" and all stood tall in the ring.
Regal: "Well now, Jim Cornette has put together an impressive group of tag teams, some of the best in the world!"
Hayes: "I've never seen a stable with multiple teams in it before. If anyone can contain those egos and make them all successful, it's Jimmy Cornette!"
Regal: "I'd have to agree. He has plenty of Mama Cornette's money to keep them all happy. Fans, we have to take another break. We'll be back with our big Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship match and the announcement from Commissioner Flair in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to our television main event, it's time to hear from Commissioner Ric Flair concerning the final two matches to be announced from NWA: Show Time for 'Winter WonderSlam.' Let's go to Scarlett Bordeaux, who is standing by in the ring to make the introductions."
Scarlett Bordeaux: "Ladies and gentlemen, Commissioner Ric Flair."
Ric Flair came to the ring with his standard entrance, filled with pomp and circumstance, looking as only he can look.
Ric Flair: "Woooo! Before I get started, let me make an introduction of my own. Ladies and gentlemen, our esteemed CEO, Jordan Richards."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out Jordan Richards, who was dressed to the nines as well.
Flair: "Now, an announcement as big as this, concerning a card as big as 'Winter WonderSlam 2K17,' must have all the VIPs in the ring. So, I have Jordan here representing the NWA Board of Governors and he will make the announcement about the main event of that historic night of wrestling. Before that, I get the privilege of announcing that 'Winter WonderSlam' will be available for live streaming from nwashowtime.com for the low price of nine ninety-nine! Just go to the website, click the order tab, and follow the instructions from there! Now, without further adieu, Mr. Richards, if you will."
Jordan Richards: "Thank you, Mr. Commissioner. Now, after what we saw last week in our television main event on this program, an NWA World Championship match fraught with controversy, the NWA Board of Governors has mandated a rematch. However, to mitigate the threat of outside interference, the stipulation has been added that this match will be contested inside a steel cage. Therefore, at NWA: Show Time's 'Winter WonderSlam 2K17,' Bray Wyatt will defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against perennial number one contender and former champion, 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar!"
Flair: "What a match signed by the NWA Board of Governors and the absolute best match possible to main event such a great card! But, there is one more match yet to be announced! So, the fourth and final match of the night will see CM Punk defend the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship against Adam Cole in a 'No Disqualification' match!"
Just then, "Cult of Personality" played to bring out Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, along with his wife AJ Lee.
CM Punk: "Now, I got no problem beating Adam Cole again. It's always a pleasure shutting him up. But, you both know good and well that I deserve to be in that World Title rematch, and this is your way of keeping me out of it!"
Flair: "Punk, let me remind you of two things. Number one, you were told that last week's World Title shot was the only one you were getting. Number two, you were pinned by Bray Wyatt, so you can head to the back of the line, pal! Woooo!"
Punk: "First of all, I earned a World Title opportunity and I deserve a fair chance! Secondly, you and I both know I had Bray beat last week when Priscilla Kelly clocked me with that baseball bat!"
Richards: "The NWA Board of Governors reviewed the tapes from last week's match. There is no video evidence that you were touched at the conclusion of the match. As far as we can tell, you were cleanly pinned in your one title opportunity. You should consider yourself lucky that we decided to put you on a card of this magnitude at all, you ungrateful piece of trash!"
Punk: "I'm trash?! That's hilarious! The only trash around here is what's spewing out of your mouths right now! I'll defend my championship against Adam Cole on the twenty-third. It'll be an early Christmas present. But, you had better believe I'll be back in the World Title picture before it's all said and done!"
Flair: "We'll see about that!"
Regal: "Wow! That was a tense few moments there! I'll have to admit that CM Punk has a point. It seems convenient that he is booked into a title defense instead of being added to the World Championship rematch."
Hayes: "Yeah, I agree. He deserves to be there."
Cornette: "What he deserves is to be fired for his continued insubordinance! He's lucky to be on the card at all, just like Flair said! I'm disappointed that 'Camp Cornette' doesn't have a match, but it's hard to argue against the four title matches that they signed."
Regal: "Yes, this is shaping up to be a huge event, and we haven't even heard from our sister promotion NWA: Femme Fatales yet! Fans, it's main event time! Let's go to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship ~ "Catch Point" ("No Fly" Drew Gulak & "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams) with "Bonafide" Fred Yehi vs. "Euro Trash" ("The Villain" Marty Scurll & Aleister Black) with Zack Sabre, Jr.
This was a fantastic match. It was filled with technical precision, crisp tagging, stiff strikes, and brutal submissions. Both teams work so fluidly, they had brilliant counters for every bit of offense. The crowd was on its feet for most of the contest. A "Fight forever!" chant broke out midway through. Ultimately, Scurll took out Gulak with a dive to the outside. Meanwhile, Black hit "Black Mass" on Williams to knock him silly and take the match.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions = "Euro Trash" by pinfall in 22:19
Regal: "What a match! My fellow UK'ers have won the championships! Bravo, 'Euro Trash!'"
Hayes: "That match was tag team gold!"
Cornette: "Scurll and Black just pulled off a five-star effort against 'Catch Point,' which has reigned supreme for months!"
Regal: "We need to take a break to catch our breaths after that one! We'll be back in a few moments! Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, we still have television time remaining that was blocked out by Jordan Richards, but we're not sure for what. wait. Now, we're receiving word from the production truck that we have a video package. Let's go to that now."
A video of Jordan Richards aired on the tron.
Richards: "Well, I guess you people thought you'd seen all you were going to see tonight, huh? Well, think again. I have one more match for you. Braun Strowman will defend the Television Championship against Bobby Roode, and the special referee will be none other than 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin! That match starts now!"
Bobby Rooode's "Glorious" theme hit to bring out the challenger, who had special referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin alongside him. They had huge grins on their faces.
Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with "Spirit of Abigail" Maria Kanellis vs. "Glorious" Bobby Roode with Maryse Ouellet ~ Special Referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
This match clearly was a set-up, as "Stone Cold" is a member of "The Richards Collective," as is Roode. It was obvious from the opening bell that Austin would be nowhere near impartial. Strowman dominated the action, but every time he went for a pin, Austin would either slow-count or no-count (sighting "something in his eye," for example). Strowman grew increasingly more frustrated and began to threaten Austin. Strowman turned around and was given a boot to the gut, followed by a "Stone Cold Stunner" from Austin. Amazingly, Strowman did not go down, but stumbled backward. Roode then gave him another boot to the gut and hit the "Glorious DDT." Austin gave a lightning quick count. Strowman appeared to kick out at 2.5, but Austin kept counting.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Television Champion ~ Bobby Roode by pinfall in 11:05
Strowman let out a guttural roar as Kanellis screamed her distaste. Braun left the ring in a huff.
Austin grabbed the championship belt and handed it to Roode as they both skedaddled from the ring and up the ramp.
Regal: "Well, that was a set-up from the word go!"
Hayes: "You'd better believe it! They signed that match just to take a title away from Bray Wyatt's crew!"
Cornette: "When you mess with the boss, you get got. That's life."
Regal: "It seems that way, for sure. Fans, we're out of time after that match, so we have to sign off. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! Don't forget to tune into www.nwashowtime.com directly following our program for After Buzz with Cathy Kelley! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as scheduled.
Kelley gave a rundown of the four big title matches already announced for Winter WonderSlam 2K17. Then, she conducted an interview with new Television Champion Bobby Roode, who attributed the win to his "glorious" ability and deflected any questions about collusion with Steve Austin. Kelley was skeptical, but didn't push. She signed off after that.
