William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Men, we're coming off a historic and record-breaking Starrcade and we have a new Heavyweight Champion in CM Punk!"
Michael Hayes: "CM Punk outlasted and outsmarted Brock Lesnar to win the title! What a match and what a night!"
Jim Cornette: "It was a travesty, if you ask me! Brock Lesnar was double-teamed and screwed! He never should have lost the match!"
Regal: "I see it as payback for all the double, triple, and quadruple-teaming done against Punk over the last several months. Either way, the result is official, but 'The Richards Collective' is not happy about it."
Just then, "Cult of Personality" hit to bring out CM Punk, AJ Lee, and Ricochet.
CM Punk: "No one expected me to be standing here with this around my waist! But, here I am! Now, I've seen the social media posts all week long from Jordan Richards, Ric Flair, 'Stone Cold,' The Rock, and everyone in between, claiming I stole this championship and that I only won because Ricochet helped me. While all that may be true, my name went into the record books with a 'W' and Brock Lesnar's went in with an 'L.' So, that makes me the second man ever to beat him in the NWA. The other man is the current World Heavyweight Champion, Bray Wyatt. Bray, I guess that makes us the top two dogs in this sport. Now, I've always considered myself 'the best in the world,' and that is what we like to call this little group of ours. But, to be recognized as the best, you have to hold the 'ten pounds of gold!' So, since we've both slayed 'The Beast,' what say we take on each other and prove once and for all who the best really is. And, I can get that World Championship back around my waist where it belongs?!"
The lights went out and this video aired:
Bray Wyatt then appeared on the tron and delivered this cryptic monologue...
Bray Wyatt: "You know who you are. I'm talking to you. Your entire life has revolved around dedication. And, I'm here to tell you that, no matter how dedicated you are, you cannot compete with the forces of nature. You cannot compete with the power of the wind or the ocean. And you most certainly cannot compete against the greatest power of them all...fear. For, it is not your drive for success that moves you! It's your fear of failure. And I know, deep behind your skin, underneath the flesh and bone, what holds the key to your undoing! Do I have your attention now? Behold, 'The New Face of Fear.'"
CM Punk: "So, is that a yes?"
The lights came back on and CM Punk was surrounded in the ring by "The New Face of Fear." They blasted he and Ricochet. AJ Lee was cut down by Maria Kanellis before she could flee the ring. Ricochet was tossed out of the ring, leaving CM Punk alone against Wyatt and company. Bray grabbed Punk up, kissed his forehead, and delivered "Sister Abigail." He knelt beside Punk and threw out his arms, declaring, "Follow...the buzzards!"
Just then, this video aired:
Regal: "Oh my Lord!"
Brock Lesnar sprinted to the ring and took out everyone in sight. He "Clotheslined" Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan over the top rope, then turned his attention to Wyatt, blocking a punch attempt and scooping him up into an "German Suplex." Wyatt went tumbling out of the ring. CM Punk stumbled up into an "F-5" of his own. Ricochet jumped off the top rope onto Lesnar, who caught him and sent him unceremoniously back to earth with an "F-5." Lesnar then let out a guttural roar as he stood tall in the ring.
Regal: "It looks like Brock Lesnar is not going to go away quietly!"
Hayes: "That was as strong a statement as I've ever seen out of 'The Beast!'"
Cornette: "Brock Lesnar has been robbed by both of these men! He just took a measure of revenge!"
Regal: "We certainly have a logjam in the main event scene, as three of the most recognized names in the sport are jockeying for position!"
Hayes: "I think Brock just proved, even without a belt, that he's at the top of the food chain!"
Cornette: "I'm not going to argue that point! He just destroyed Bray Wyatt, CM Punk, and everyone associated with them by himself!"
Regal: "We're going to take a commercial break to clear the ring. Then, perhaps we can get our scheduled program started. Back in a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, we have a great episode lined up tonight! Our first match, which is next, features Kevin Steen taking on Adrian Neville! Next, we'll see 'Euro Trash' in six-man action against 'Worldwide Underground!'" In our main event, Jim Cornette's 'Revival' will defend the Tag Team Championship against 'American Alpha!' So, let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ Kevin Steen vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville
Winner = Kevin Steen by pinfall in 15:08
Regal: "Fantastic match between two great wrestlers! "Pop-up Powerbomb" by Steen for the win!"
Hayes: "Kevin Steen proved he still has what it takes to be a top flight superstar!"
Cornette: "I could get behind a guy like Steen, and his partner Claudio! I need to have a conversation with him."
Regal: "Oh no! I can see the wheels turning in Cornette's head now! Fans, we have to take a break. We'll be back in a few moments!"
Regal: "We're back and Jim Cornette has left the commentary booth to go after Kevin Steen. Our cameraman has followed them."
The scene shifts to backstage, where Jim Cornette is talking to Kevin Steen and Claudio Catsagnoli.
Cornette: "Why should you listen to me?! Because I have a proven track record! I made 'The Midnight Express' World Champions! I made Yokozuna a World Champion! After I took 'The Revival' under my wing, they beat you for the Tag Titles! I brought 'Sons of Steel' back to prominence and I can do the same for you. Come on, guys! We can create a super stable of the three best tag teams around! What do you say?!"
Kevin Steen: "We'll sleep on it."
"Sons of Steel" walk up behind Steen and Castagnoli.
Boomer Payne: "Hey, don't sleep on it too long."
Brice Anthony: "Yeah. You're either with us or against us."
Cornette: "I trust you'll make the wise decision."
Regal: "So, it looks like James E. Cornette is backstage wheeling and dealing."
Hayes: "When is he not?"
Regal: "Touche'."
Just then, this video aired on the tron:
Commissioner Ric Flair came to the ring with a microphone in hand.
Ric Flair: "Charlotte, wooooo, North Carolina! It's time for the 'Nature Boy' and your distinguished Commissioner, to make a huge announcement. I have just spoken with our CEO Jordan Richards, who is meeting with the NWA Board of Governors as we speak. I pitched an idea to him and the Board voted unanimously to approve it. So, next week on this program, we will see a 'Triple Threat' match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship between Bray Wyatt, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar! Does the 'Naitch' know how to run this thing, or what?! Woooo!"
Regal: "Are you kidding me?! A 'Triple Threat' for the World Championship on this program next week! Fans, if you didn't already have a reason to tune into the number wrestling television programming in the world, you certainly do now!"
Hayes: "That's huge!"
Cornette: "What a blockbuster announcement! Now, Brock Lesnar has the chance to duplicate what he did out here earlier, and walk away with the World Championship to boot!"
Regal: "That could be a real possibility! Fans, let's go back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ "Euro Trash"--Zack Sabre, Jr., "The Villain" Marty Scurll, & Aleister Black vs. "Worldwide Underground"--Johnny Mundo, "Darewolf" PJ Black, & Jack Evans with Taya
If you were looking for lucha style action with the element of hard-hitting strikes and submissions, this was a goldmine. It could be the best six-man tag team match in the history of the program. It was THAT good. Jack Evans was flying all over the building, it seemed. Aleister Black was kicking everyone's heads off. Marty Scurll was breaking fingers. Sabre, Jr. was breaking legs. Mundo was at his parkour best. PJ Black was doing "Darewolf" things. Taya was cheering them on sporting her NWA: Femme Fatales Heavyweight Championship belt, which was strapped firmly around her waist. Ultimately, Sabre got Evans to submit to his signature finisher, "Hurrah! Another Year, Surely This One Will Be Better Than The Last; The Inexorable March of Progress Will Lead Us All to Happiness." Yes, that's the name of the hold.
Winners = "Euro Trash" by submission in 18:06
Regal: "The stars are on fire tonight! Another stellar match that might not be topped! Unbelievable!"
Hayes: "I'm speechless."
Cornette: "That's a first and no one's complaining. But seriously, that was a fabulous match."
Regal: "Jim, we'll give you one more leave tonight, as you go prepare for the main event, which will take place after this break. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! It's main event time. But, first, a word from the challengers, 'American Alpha,' who are standing by with their mentor Kurt Angle and 'SoCal' Val."
Valerie Wyndham: "I am her with Kurt Angle and 'American Alpha,' who are set to challenge 'The Revival' for the Tag Team Championship in moments. Now, you two have a history with Dash and Dawson. will that help you tonight?"
Chad Gable: "Being familiar with 'The Revival' certainly will help us. But, we still have to be prepared for anything. We'll give credit where it's due. 'The Revival' is one of the best tag teams in the world. With Jim Cornette in their corner, they'll be even trickier."
Jason Jordan: "We'll have to be better prepared for this match than any other we've ever wrestled. This is a big time moment for us."
Wyndham: "Kurt, you've been training and mentoring these two for some time now. All that hard work has paid off with a long string of victories on the road, which have culminated in this opportunity. Are they ready?"
Kurt Angle: "I've never worked with anyone who has the talent and ambition that these two do. They are more ready than they've ever been. Tonight's their night!"
Wyndham: "Thank you. William, back to you."
Regal: "Beating 'The Revival' is no small task. Let's see if 'American Alpha' is up to the challenge!"

Regal: "This might go down as the most amazing hour we've ever put out there! That was tag team wrestling at its finest!"

Regal: "Oh my! What a night! Fans, we're all out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! Don't forget to tune into After Buzz with Cathy Kelley on www.nwashowtime.com immediately following this broadcast! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as scheduled.
She talked about the incredible matches we just saw and raved about the main event. "The Revival" came in for an interview with towels draped around their necks and profuse sweat dripping from their exhausted bodies. Jim Cornette did most of the talking, which he tends to do. He went on and on about the prowess of "The Revival," as well as his burgeoning stable that also includes "Sons of Steel." He speculated that "The Insurgence" would be the latest team added to the ranks of what he is now calling "Camp Cornette." Kelley signed off with that.
