William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are hall of famers Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Guys, this could be a volatile episode after the ending we saw last week."
Michael Hayes: "CM Punk had just defeated The Rock for the right to face Brock Lesnar in the future, and Lesnar dropped him like a bad habit with an 'F-5!'"
Jim Cornette: "And, it will be the same story when Punk challenges Lesnar for the title! Brock will run through him like X-Lax through a widow woman!"
Regal: "That remains to be seen. Fans, we have a fantastic episode lined up tonight. We'll feature in action, members of 'The New Church,' 'The Broken Universe,' 'The Reckoning,' and Kota Ibushi will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against Adrian Neville! Plus, 'The Richards Collective' is in the house as well! So, let's get it started!"
Match One ~ "Fatal Five-Way" ~ "The New Church"--"Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas & Mordecai the Zealot with Priestess Skyler Moon & The Sinister Minister vs. "The Broken Universe"--"Broken Soldier" Gunner & "Broken Savior" Jon Skyler with "Broken Bomb" Jason Justice & Reby vs. "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt vs. "The Dudleys"--Bully Ray & D-Von
This was a rush to the finish, as all five teams were looking for the first fall to win it. There were moments to shine for every team in the match. There was one moment where tension surfaced among members of "The Reckoning," as Smith broke up a pinfall attempt by D-Von Dudley. All in all, this match had the pacing you would expect. In the end, Mordecai stole the pin after "PTSD" from Gunner on Bully Ray. Mordecai threw Gunner out of the ring and jumped on the quick cover before a save could be made (the others were involved in a tussle outside the ring).
Winners = "The New Church" by pinfall in 10:10
Regal: "Big win by 'The New Church!' That should put them squarely in the title picture!"
Cornette: "It might put them in the title picture, but no one's taking the belts off 'The Revival!'"
Just then, "Euro Trash" ran in and blasted "The New Church." They took out Judas and Mordecai before Sinn, Pagano, and Ichabod could make the save. "Euro Trash" left through the crowd as they admired their work.
Regal: "Sabre, Scurll, and Black have come to make a statement in the tag team division for sure!"
Hayes: "Gang warfare, baby! That's the way 'The Freebirds' did it!"
Cornette: "Michael, I finally agree with you in principle! Gang warfare is the way to get ahead in this business! 'The Midnight Express' did it better than anyone! Now, 'The Revival' and 'Sons of Steel' are coming to understand that point under my tutelage! These guys in 'Euro Trash' have the right idea, as long as they stay away from my guys!"
Regal: "Well Jim, it looks like they might eventually be on a collision course. Fans, let's take a break. We'll be back with more in just a moment!"
Regal: "We're back! Fans, our brand new Japanese interpreter, radio and fashion personality Junko Suzuki, is standing by with Cruiserweight Champion Kota Ibushi."
Junko Suzuki: "I am here with Kota Ibushi, NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion. He will be defending the title against Adrian Neville very shortly. Kota, Adrian Nevu~iru wa moto chanpion de sekai-teki ni yūmeina sūpāsutādesu. Kono taitoru bōei no tame ni dono yō ni junbi shimashita ka (Adrian Neville is a former champion and a world renowned superstar, as are you. How have you prepared for this title defense)?"
Kota Ibushi: "Hai, Nevu~iru wa subarashī resurā to chanpiondesu. Kare wa tobu no ga sukinanode, watashi wa kare o setchi sa senakereba narimasen. Shikashi, watashi wa dōyō ni tobu no ga sukidesu. Dakara watashi wa sore o watashi no rieki ni tsukau hitsuyō ga arimasu (Yes, Neville is a great wrestler and champion. He likes to fly, so I must keep him grounded. But, I like to fly as well. So, I must use that to my advantage)."
Suzuki: "Anata wa anata no senaka ni Kurūzā-kyū no bumon o hakobu to iimashita. Sore wa taihen'na sagyō kamo shiremasen (You have said that you want to carry the Cruiserweight division on your back. That may be a daunting task)."
Ibushi: "Sore wa kon'nan kamo shirenaiga, watashi wa mirai e no Kurūzā bumon o rīdo suru junbi ga dekite iru (It may be difficult, but I am ready to lead the Cruiserweight division into the future)."
Suzuki: "Arigatōgozaimashita (Thank you). William, back to you."
Regal: "Thank you, Junko. She's a beautiful young lady and very poised."
Hayes: "Yep! I love that wild hair. Rock-n-roll!"
Cornette: "It's distracting. I don't like it."
Regal: "Of course you don't. Fans, let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Kota Ibushi vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville
One of the best matches of 2017 in the company, period. These two tore the house down for a half-hour and the fans were on the edges of their seats the entire time. Both men deserved to win, yet it looked like both would lose throughout the bout. Ibushi did manage to ground Neville for a portion of the match, but Neville eventually found his way up top. He actually went for "Red Arrow," only to see Ibushi move out of the way in the nick of time. Neville went crashing to the canvas with a thud. Ibushi hit a "Standing Moonsault," then hit the top rope and executed a scintillating "Phoenix Splash" for the pinfall, collapsing to the mat after the win.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Kota Ibushi by pinfall in 31:11
Both wrestlers received standing ovations from the crowd and announcers. The audience began dueling "That was awesome!" and "That was wrestling!" chants.
Regal: "Absolutely unbelievable! Classic contest!"
Hayes: "That might be the best match I've seen in years!"
Cornette: "I'll have to admit it. That was impressive!"
Regal: "Kudos to both men for putting on a Cruiserweight clinic in that ring! Fans, we have to take a break. When we return, 'The Richards Collective' has demanded interview time. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! 'SoCal' Val is inside the ring to introduce 'The Richards Collective.' Valerie..."
Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, 'The Richards Collective.'"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out Jordan Richards, Adam Cole, Britt Baker, and Karlee Perez. Richards took the microphone from Wyndham.
Jordan Richards: "Thank you, Val. I'll take it from here. At Halloween Havoc, everything was supposed to be set into motion. Our master plan was laid out and ready to roll. I would be rid of CM Punk and his skank of a wife AND I'd be one million dollars richer than I already am! But, that plan was thwarted because of the insolence of a small pest who interjected himself into our business. That pest was Ricochet! He ruined the match and now I'm obligated to allow Punk and AJ to work out a three-year contract! To make things worse, Ricochet stuck his nose into our business again last week, when he cost The Rock a match against CM Punk! Now, Punk gets a future Heavyweight Championship match! So, it seems that no longer is CM Punk public enemy number one by himself. Now, he has an accomplice. Well, 'The Richards Collective' is going to take great pleasure in destroying CM Punk and Ricochet!"
Adam Cole then took the microphone.
Adam Cole: "Ricochet, get your a** out here right now! We have a score to settle!"
Ricochet came bounding out of the crowd and tackled Cole. The two began to brawl in the ring. Baker and Perez fled to the floor. Richards grabbed Ricochet from behind and held him as Cole laid the boots to him. Soon, Brock Lesnar and The Rock came to ringside along with Eve Torres and Maryse Ouellet. They dismantled Ricochet until CM Punk and AJ Lee ran down to the ring. Punk took out Cole with a kick to the head. He ducked The Rock's attempt at a "Clothesline," then sent him over the top rope with a "Clothesline" of his own. Punk turned around into a massive "F-5" for the second consecutive week. Baker, Torres, Ouellet, and Perez all jumped AJ and left her laying. After the beating, "The Richards Collective" stood tall in the ring.
Regal: "That is an unstoppable force! No one can match up with the sheer numbers of 'The Richards Collective!'"
Hayes: "That's how Jordan Richards set it up. He wanted to dominate his own company and he put together the team that can do it!"
Cornette: "And, that makes him a genius!"
Suddenly, the lights went out. After about five seconds, this video aired on the tron:
Lesnar was incensed. Richards had a look of shock on his face.
Regal: "It looks like Brock Lesnar will have to contend with not only CM Punk, but with the only man to pin him in the NWA, the World Champion Bray Wyatt, and 'The New Face of Fear!' That was a shocker! Fans, unfortunately we're all out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! Don't forget to tune into www.nwashowtime.com immediately following our broadcast to catch After Buzz with Cathy Kelly. For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying ta ta for now!"
NWA: Show Time After Buzz with Cathy Kelley aired as scheduled.
Kelley focused on the ending of the program and what it could mean to Brock Lesnar to face the challenge of two formidable foes like Bray Wyatt and CM Punk. Lesnar busted into the set area and glared at Kelley. After a few moments of awkward silence, Brock looked at Kelley and declared, "I'll take both those b****es to 'Suplex City!'" With that, Kelley signed off.
