William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are my hall of fame co-hosts, Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Tonight, we have a special challenge match with huge title ramifications!"
Michael Hayes: "You got that right, Jack! Our main event could see the Heavyweight, Mid-Atlantic, and Cruiserweight Titles all vacated, if 'The Richards Collective' loses!"
Jim Cornette: "Do you honestly think Jordan Richards or Ric Flair are going to let that happen?! They're smarter than that! It will be business as usual!"
Regal: "Perhaps so. But, we currently have no indication what four men will accept the challenge. It will be interesting to see who steps up to the plate. Fans, we'll also see Braun Strowman defend the Television Championship against the very first man to hold that title, Shelton Benjamin! We'll start the hour off with Cruiserweight action! Let's go to the ring!"
Match One ~ "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville & Tony Nese vs. Hangman Page & Richie Steamboat
This was a fast-paced match with plenty of action. Neville and Nese worked well together. They commanded the ring and kept Steamboat isolated from Page for several minutes. When he finally got the tag, Page was a house of fire, taking out both Nese and Neville with a flurry of offense. All four men ended up in the ring at the same time. Page got taken out and Neville and Nese hit a wicked double-team on Steamboat for the pin.
Winners = Adrian Neville & Tony Nese by pinfall in 14:06
Regal: "What a win for Neville and Nese! They looked very fluid as a team!"
Hayes: "They beat up on Steamboat for quite a while. He never could get going in that match!"
Cornette: "Hangman Page looks upset! I don't blame him! Steamboat sure wasn't his dad in that match!"
Page attacked Steamboat and hit "Rite of Passage" on him. Page spat on Steamboat as he left him laying in the ring.
Regal: "Well, Adam Page was not happy about the result of that match, and he maliciously took it out on Richie Steamboat!"
Hayes: "Hangman marches to his own drummer! That's for sure!"
Cornette: "He's a lone wolf! He doesn't belong in tag matches! He has no friends!"
Regal: "Indeed. He's not availing himself to the locker room after that. Fans, we'll return with the Television Championship match next!"
Regal: "We're back! 'SoCal" Val is with Television Champion Braun Strowman and Maria Kanellis ahead of their match. let's hear their thoughts."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with Braun Strowman and his manager Maria Kanellis. Braun, you're set to defend the Television Championship in mere moments against Shelton Benjamin, a man you've never faced. How do you prepare for the unknown?"
Maria Kanellis: "Unknown?! Nothing is unknown to us! It's my job to make sure 'The Monster Among Men' stays prepared for every match! Braun Strowman fears no challenge. He fears no man, because he is not a mortal man. He is a monster. In a few short seconds, he's going to prove it!"
Wyndham: "Braun, any parting words?"
Braun Strowman: "Only one. Destruction."
Wyndham: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "What an intimidating individual. I'm glad that I am retired."
Hayes: "Me too!"
Cornette: "I'd have never been dumb enough to get in the ring with him."
Regal: "Let's go to the ring!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman with Maria Kanellis vs. "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin with Truth Martini & the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt, Zahra, and Dana Adiva
Benjamin used a very sound offensive game plan. Basically, he decided to pick his spots, sticking and moving in an effort to inflict damage but keep out of Strowman's grasp. It worked quite well for a while, prolonging the match more than many expected. Strowman finally did get his hands on Benjamin and pounded him. Shelty B kept his composure and continued to go for big offense and quick strikes. Strowman went for a corner splash. Benjamin moved, causing Strowman to crash into the corner, nailing his head on the top of the corner post. This actually took Strowman off his feet. Benjamin capitalized with a "Missile Dropkick" that again dropped Braun. Benjamin then went for his "Springboard Shooting Star Press," but Braun hopped up and caught him mid-flight. Braun then sent Shelton plummeting back to the mat with a thunderous "Running Powerslam."
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Braun Strowman by pinfall in 15:43
Regal: "What a surprisingly good and long match! Shelton Benjamin was impressive, but Braun Strowman simply cannot be stopped!"
Hayes: "Braun caught the two-hundred-fifty-pound Benjamin like he was a ten-pound sack of potatoes! Then, he flattened him!"
Cornette: "Braun Strowman is a destructive force! Whatever direction he's pointed, he leaves a path of carnage in his wake!"
Regal: "Fans, we'll be back after this next break. Maybe they can scrape Shelton Benjamin off the mat while we're away. Stay tuned!"
Regal: "We are back and it's time for the eight-man challenge match! Remember, last week, 'The Richards Collective' came to the ring and issued an open challenge to any four competitors to face them in the ring tonight. They were so confident, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin said they'd forfeit all of their championships if one of them was pinned. Let's see who's going to accept this challenge right now!"
Match Three ~ Open Challenge ~ If "The Richards Collective" loses the match, they will forfeit all of their championships ~ "The Richards Collective"--"The Beast" Brock Lesnar, The Rock, Adam Cole, & Ricochet with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Eve Torres, Britt Baker, and "La Reine" Maryse Ouellet vs. ?
"The Richards Collective" made it way to the ring, with CEO Jordan Richards, Karlee Perez, and Commissioner Ric Flair en tow. Jordan Richards grabbed a microphone.
Jordan Richards: "The time has come to test the mettle of the entire Show Time locker room! Who's it going to be?!"
Ric Flair: "Who's going to step up and try to take out the most elite group in all of professional wrestling?! Wooooooo!"
The music of "Worldwide Underground" hit to bring out that stable.
Flair: "Whoa, whoa, whoa. You boys must have forgotten that we challenged any four of the locker room to face us! I only see three men standing before me!"
Johnny Mundo: "You're right! You do see four men in front of you! But, we brought our four!"
Taya stepped out from among the group.
Mundo: "Taya's not afraid of anyone in that ruing! She can beat you just like we can!"
Flair: "It's your funeral, Taya! But, if you're going to put yourself in a man's world, expect these four to treat you like a man!"
The match started Ricochet and PJ Black. They tore the house down for a few minutes before tagging out. Eventually, and much to the delight of everyone in the arena, Taya tagged herself in. Brock Lesnar was in the ring at the time. Taya immediately began throwing forearm after forearm into Lesnar's chest. These blows barely phased him. Eventually, he de-cleated Taya with a "Clothesline" and tagged out. The match wore on for many minutes, with back and forth action. "Worldwide Underground" is riding a swell of momentum. They parlayed that into this performance. During the match, all eight were fighting at various points of ringside. CM Punk ran out in coveralls and rammed Ricochet shoulder first into the steel corner post. Lesnar, Flair, and Richards chased after him, but he escaped through the crowd. Black, meanwhile, threw Ricochet into the ring and applied a "Koji Clutch," wrenching on the damaged shoulder. Ricochet writhed in pain, but eventually had to tap out, because none of his stable mates could make it to him for the save.
Winners = "Worldwide Underground" by submission in 22:48
Regal: "They've done it! 'Worldwide Underground' wins! 'The Richards Collective' must forfeit all of their titles!"
Hayes: "Oh my Lord! What an upset! I can't believe what I'm seeing!"
Cornette: "Has everyone forgotten that the lowlife CM Punk interfered in the match?! This decision can't stand!"
Regal: "As far as I'm concerned, a stipulation is a stipulation! CM punk got cheated and now works for the ring crew! Turnabout's fair play, if you ask me!"
Cornette: "Well, no one asked you!"
Regal: "Jim, even you can't get me down right now! The tyranny of 'The Richards Collective' is over! we'll be guaranteed all new champions!"
Jordan Richards, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, and everyone else in their group was fit to be tied. Ricochet was still clutching his injure shoulder, screaming, "It was Punk!"
Regal: "What a scene! Referee Nick Patrick is walking to the back with all of the championship belts! This is something we couldn't have fathomed before last week! Fans, we're all out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
After the broadcast went off the air, "NWA: Show Time After Buzz" with Cathy Kelley aired on www.nwashowtime.com.
Cathy talked about the monumental main event, which saw Ricochet tap out after having his shoulder injured by ring crew attendant CM Punk. "The Richards Collective" was brought in for an interview that turned into a chaotic scene. Jordan Richards was livid and protested the decision. Richards and Flair both promised that a statement would be made next Tuesday on the Show Time Power Hour concerning the match and its result. Brock Lesnar destroyed the area before Kelley quickly signed off.
