William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are my hall of fame co-hosts, Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Guys, we have a very pivotal main event in tonight's episode!"
Michael Hayes: "You got that right! CM Punk and AJ Lee against Adam Cole and Britt Baker in a 'Street Fight!'"
Jim Cornette: "It's going to warm my heart to see Punk and AJ putting that ring together next week!"
Regal: "Well, that remains to be seen. But, that is the stipulation. If Punk and Lee lose, they will be placed on the ring crew for the remainder of their contracts and will not be allowed to wrestle in NWA: Show Time again! Also on the program this week, we'll feature the Cruiserweights! The newly formed 'Crowe's Nest' of Solomon Crowe, Jay White, and Jonathan Gresham will take on the 'Worldwide Underground' in what should be a dandy. And, Will Ospreay and Matt Riddle from NWA: HAWK will battle for a chance to face Ricochet for the Cruiserweight Championship! The six-man is up next, but first, let's go to 'SoCal' Val, who is standing by with Solomon Crowe and his group."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm her with the 'Crowe's Nest.' Solomon, you three have come together over the course of several weeks. My question is, for what purpose?"
Solomon Crowe: "We are the forgotten ones. We have been overlooked by society. We have been overlooked by NWA: Show Time management. We have been overlooked by the fans. Look at today's show! There are two guys fighting who don't even work here, and one of them will get a shot at the title we should be competing for! Yes, we have a common bond that has been forged in obscurity. So, I brought us together to act collectively and force the world to take notice."
Wyndham: "Solomon, you were the number one contender to the Cruiserweight Championship and received a title shot recently. That doesn't sound like you've been overlooked."
Crowe: "Don't be so insolent, Valerie! You're a corporate sellout doing her job, aren't you?! You're taking the truth and spinning it, just like the rest of the corporate suits. Yes, I got a title shot. But, was it fair?! No! I was undermined by the corporate machine because I don't fit the mold of what they consider a champion! Neither do these two with me! But, that will all change with this one match! You see, when we go out there and defeat former champions, they'll have to take notice. We won't be held down any longer!"
Valerie: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "Interesting words from the talented, but somewhat delusional Solomon Crowe. Joanna Rose is with their opponents. Joanna, take it away!"
Joanna Rose: "I am here with 'Worldwide Underground,' who are set to face the 'Crowe's Nest' in moments. What are your thoughts heading into this match-up?"
Johnny Mundo: "This match is all about redemption. We want our titles back. This is a stepping stone for us returning to greatness!"
PJ Black: "This is about 'Worldwide Underground' getting back on top of the mountain once again!"
Jack Evans: "It's about that money, Joanna! The winners make more than the losers. We're winners, and we're going to win tonight!"
Rose: "Taya, anything to add?"
Taya: "We are the best Cruiserweights in the world. These three will prove it out there tonight."
Rose: "Enough said. William, I'll throw it back to you!"
Regal: "Well, both teams are on a mission. Let's see which one can accomplish it!"
Match One ~ "Worldwide Underground"--Johnny Mundo, "Darewolf" PJ Black, & Jack Evans with Taya vs. "Crowe's Nest"--Solomon Crowe, Jay White, & Jonathan Gresham
The path to redemption is a narrow one, and these six men went on that journey. "WU" were seeking to return to prominence, while "CN" were looking to make their mark. Crowe and company were the better team on this night, but they came out on the short end of the draw. Taya proved to be the difference. At a climactic juncture of the match, she distracted the referee during a melee, allowing a double-team chair shot against Grehsam. Her charges kept Crowe and white at bay while Mundo made the pin.
Winners = "Worldwide Underground" by pinfall in 10:32
Regal: "The 'Crowe's Nest' proved they belonged, and even looked like the better team out there. But, some chicanery by 'Worldwide Underground' came into play."
Hayes: "How many times have we seen that in their matches?!"
Cornette: "I've said it before and I'll say it again. If the referee didn't see it, it didn't happen!"
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, we'll take a break. We'll be back with more in just a moment!"
Regal: "This next match promises to be fantastic! These two are fighting for the right to take on Ricochet next week for the Cruiserweight Championship!"
Match Two ~ Winner receives a Cruiserweight Championship opportunity ~ Will Ospreay vs. Matt Riddle
This was the opening sequence:
It was clear that Riddle meant business. His fellow "Catch Point" members (Drew Gulak, Tracy Williams, & Fred Yehi) cheered him on from ringside. Ospreay left his stable mates behind on this night, which may have been a mistake. 'Catch Point' provided quite a few distractions throughout the contest. Ospreay fought back brilliantly, but had few answers for Riddle's MMA expertise. After mounting an offensive, Ospreay was once again distracted by Yehi grabbing his leg. As the referee admonished Yehi, Riddle landed a straight kick to Ospreay that dropped him. Riddle went for the "Bromission," but Ospreay blocked. Riddle began to pepper Ospreay with "Hammer Fists" until he coverd up. Riddle then transitioned into the "Bromission" for the tapout.
Winner = Matt Riddle by submission in 20:07
Regal: "What an absolutely intense match! It's a shame 'Catch Point' had any involvement. That marred what could have been a flawless battle!"
Hayes: "Riddle is the real deal! He could've won the match all by himself. You have to hand it to Ospreay too! He fought the odds and almost won!"
Cornette: "This was a great match, no doubt. But, I'm with Solomon Crowe. These two have no business on our program, taking time away from 'The Revival' and 'Sons of Steel!'"
Regal: "They are part of our talent exchange agreement with NWA: HAWK. They are two of the finest up-and-coming talents in the world, and I thought it was a masterful display they put on out there! So, it looks like Riddle will get his shot next week!"
Just then, Ricochet's music hit. He and Maryse Ouellet came to the entrance way and began to clap. Ricochet had a microphone.
Ricochet: "Bravo, Matt! Bravo! What a victory! I guess you've earned yourself a seat at the table with me! Next week? Why wait!"
Matt Riddle: "Because I just fought Will Ospreay for twenty minutes, bro. That's why!"
Ricochet: "Fair enough. I guess 'Mr. Big, Bad MMA Dude' left his 'bro balls' at home today."
Riddle: "Bro! I can kick your a-- any day of the week!"
Ricochet: "Prove it!"
Riddle: "Fine! We'll do it right now!"
Ricochet: "Let's do it!"
As Ricochet walked toward the ring, Commissioner Ric Flair came out to a chorus of boos.
Ric Flair: "Hold on just a minute! We can do this right now. But, 'Catch Point' is banned from ringside! You had a part to play in that last match. Over my cold, dead body, will you have something to do with a title match!"
"Catch Point" threw a fit, but relented and left the area. Riddle was still complaining when Ricochet jumped him from behind, much as he had done to start his match with Ospreay.
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ "King of the Cruiserweights" Ricochet with "La Reine" Maryse Ouellet vs. Matt Riddle
Ricochet knew exactly what he was doing in goading an exhausted Riddle into the title match a week ahead of schedule. He hit the "Benydriller," but Riddle kicked out. He then hit a "Standing Moonsault," but Riddle fought out of that. Finally, Ricochet went to the top rope for his infamous "630 Senton Splash." He hit it, or so it appeared at first. Riddle actually reversed it and locked in the "Bromission." Ricochet was screaming in pain and was about to tap out when Ric Flair pulled the referee out of the ring (Ricochet began tapping out as the referee began to argue with Flair). Riddle released the hold thinking he had won. As the referee was admonishing Flair, Adam Cole snuck in and hit a "Super Kick" to Riddle's jaw. He quickly helped Ricochet up and dispatched him back to the top rope. Ricochet finally connected with the "630 Senton Splash." Flair sent the referee back into the ring for the pin count.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Ricochet by pinfall in 3:42
Regal: "Just like Riddle benefitted from interference in the match before, he was the victim of it when the title was on the line! What blatant abuse of authority by Ric Flair!"
Hayes: "Flair saved the title! That's for sure! It was a done deal! Ricochet was about tapping out!"
Cornette: "The referee never saw a tapout, so Ricochet retains. That's the rule, plain and simple. The ref can only call what he sees!"
Regal: "Fans, let's take a break and get ready for this main event with career-threatening implications!"
Regal: "We're back and it's time for a 'Street Fight!'"
Match Four ~ "No Holds Barred Street Fight" ~ If CM Punk and AJ Lee lose, they become part of the ring crew ~ CM Punk & AJ Lee vs. Adam Cole & Britt Baker with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
This was a wild and wooly brawl. There is no other way to describe it. Cole and Punk went at it all over the arena, while their respective significant others trashed ringside. Punk hit "Go to Sleep" on Cole and went for the cover, but Austin broke up the pin. With the 'No Holds Barred" stipulation, this was perfectly legal. Austin then hit a "Stone Cold Stunner" and placed a limp Cole on top of Punk. The referee hesitated for a moment, but began the count. Miraculously, Punk kicked out. Austin jumped back into the ring and looked to hit another "Stunner." when he went to kick Punk in the gut, CM caught Austin's leg. He then pulled him into a forearm shot to the face, followed by a kick to the chest that sent Austin out of the ring. Punk then looked at the crowd, who was swelling with excitement. He went to pick up Cole for another "GTS." This time, CEO Jordan Richards and Karlee Perez ran down to ringside. Perez helped Baker take out Lee while Richards jumped into the ring and blasted Punk in the back with a steel chair. He began to pound on Punk relentlessly with the chair, nailing seven total shots. Cole had recovered and readied himself as Richards held Punk up to his knees. Cole then hit a "Shining Wizard" that nearly took Punk's head off. The referee had no choice but to count.
Winners = Adam Cole and Britt Baker by pinfall in 21:48
Regal: "We have seen nothing but obvious cheating throughout the program today! Every match was won after some sort of interference! What is this place coming to?!"
Hayes: "It was a hard hour to watch if you want clean finishes."
Cornette: "Aww, pish posh! You boys saw a different program than I did! I saw four matches that had definitive finishes, either by pinfall or by submission. There were no disqualifications or countouts! What does it take to satisfy you?! You people keep talking about interference that officially never happened!"
Regal: "That may be so, Jim. But, the most blatant interference of all has just cost CM Punk and his wife AJ Lee their spots on the roster! They'll be setting up the ring from now on! How is that fair?!"
Cornette: "Fair?! All's fair in love and war, and this definitely was a war!"
Regal: "Regardless, CM Punk and AJ Lee were just cheated out of their rightful place on the NWA: Show Time roster as wrestlers, not as ring crew! Unfortunately, they had no choice or say in the matter, and now they'll suffer the consequences of a match designed to make them fail. What a travesty of such great talent! Fans, I can't talk about this any more. We're out of time anyway. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour. Please go to www.nwashowtime.com for 'After Buzz' with Cathy Kelley immediately following our signing off. For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal. Goodnight."
After the program went off the air, Cathy Kelley hosted "NWA: Show Time After Buzz."
She focused her attention on the situation involving CM Punk and AJ Lee and how that would affect them, especially considering that they both have two years left on their contracts. She assumed we'd see them fade off into obscurity and wondered if they'd ever wrestle again period. Kelley was somber, a stark contrast to the vibrant and effervescent personality we've all come to know and love. "Worldwide Underground" stopped by to gloat about their win and pronounced that the mood should be great and told Cathy not to focus on the negative, but the positive fact that they were back. With that, Kelley signed off.
