William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me are Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette! Mates, we have a big hour lined up here tonight!"
Michael Hayes: "We've got the matches that will make the summer heat seem cold, brother!"
Jim Cornette: "Our line-up tonight promises to showcase action so fast and furious, even I can't call it all!"
Regal: "Brock Lesnar will defend the Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Steen! 'Sons of Steel' will take on members of 'Catch Point' in a 'Texas Tornado' match! And, 'War Machine' will defend the North American Tag Team Championship against 'Reno Scum!' It's so much to get into one hour, but we're going to try! Let's get to it!"
Match One ~ "Texas Tornado" match ~ "Sons of Steel"--Boomer Payne & Brice Anthony vs. "Catch Point"--"No Fly" Drew Gulak & "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams with "Bonafide" Fred Yehi
This was an intense fight. Quite a feud has developed between these two squads in recent weeks. They have been tearing up the live event tour in tag team and multi-man matches. This was no exception. These four fought intensely and ferociously. Gulak attempted several submissions, but all were broken out of. "SoS" went more smash mouth than normal, but still showed their flawless tag team technique. Ultimately, timely interference by Yehi distracting the referee led to Gulak nailing Payne with a steel chair, allowing Williams to get the pin.
Winners = "Catch Point" by pinfall in 11:43
Regal: "What a travesty! A brilliant tag team match was marred by controversy!"
Hayes: "Boomer got smashed like a 'whack-a-mole!'"
Cornette: "You call it a travesty, William. I call it an opportunity to win."
Regal: "Regardless, 'Catch Point' stole one from the two-time Tag Team Champions. Fans, we'll be right back."
Regal: "We're back from the break and it's time for more action!"
Match Two ~ NWA North American Tag Team Championship ~ "War Machine"--Hansen & Raymond "Death" Rowe vs. "Reno Scum"--Luster the Legend & Adam Thornstow with "Patron Saint of Filth" Christina Von Eerie
The tag team focus on today's broadcast was a real treat. Fans saw two contrasting matches with four different team styles and concepts involved. "War Machine" is straight ahead, bulldozer style offense. "Reno Scum" is all about frenetic, tandem offensive schemes. In the end, "War Machine" had the advantage and looked to put Thornstow away with "Fallout." However, "The Revival" hit the ring and threw Hansen off the top rope, prompting an immediate disqualification.
Winners and STILL NWA North American Tag Team Champions = "War Machine" by disqualification in 10:25
Regal: "Once again, interference ruins an otherwise outstanding contest!"
Hayes: "Dash and Dawson came out of nowhere to attack their archenemies. They clearly want to send a message to Hansen and Rowe that they're zeroing in on those North American Titles!"
Cornette: "It looks as though business has become personal with these two teams!"
Regal: "Fans, we're going to cut away to Joanna Rose, who is standing by with tonight's Heavyweight Championship challenger, Kevin Steen. Joanna, take it away."
Joanna Rose: "I'm backstage with Kevin Steen, who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Heavyweight Championship in our main event. Kevin, you're no stranger to this championship or to Brock Lesnar. What is your strategy to conquer 'The Beast?'"
Kevin Steen: "You're right, Joanna. I am no stranger to the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship. In fact, I was the first two-time champion! Tonight, I become the first ever three-time champion! The strategy with Lesnar is simple. You outsmart him. He is a big, dumb ape who cannot think for himself, which is why he always has Jordan Richards and Eve Torres in his ear. I'm the smartest man in the locker room, which makes me the smartest man in this match."
Rose: "Smarts are important, but will they help you once Brock gets his hands on you?"
Steen: "That's the point! He's not going to get his hands on me! I will stick and move, then I'll strike at the most opportune moment! Brock Lesnar is beatable. In fact, I am the reason he's not the World Heavyweight Champion now! I did that!"
Rose: "Good luck tonight, Kevin."
Steen: "Luck is for those who can't do it for themselves. We'll see who needs good luck out there. You're looking at the new Heavyweight Champion!"
Rose: "Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thanks, Joanna! Fans, we'll be back with this huge main event in just a moment. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back from the break. Let's head to the ring for the main event!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. Kevin Steen with Claudio Castagnoli
Brock Lesnar charged Steen at the bell and decimated him with a "Clothesline." He then uncorked five "German Suplexes" in succession. Finally, he ended this one early with a thunderous "F-5."
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 3:37
Regal: "That was an absolute dismantling of Kevin Steen by Brock Lesnar!"
Hayes: "He beat the brakes off Kevin Steen like he was nothing!"
Cornette: "That match ended quicker than Regal's first romantic encounter!"
Regal: "Not quite, Jim. But, this result is a huge surprise!"
Claudio Castagnoli hopped into the ring and attacked Lesnar from behind. Lesnar quickly fought him off, but Claudio was joined by Steen for a beat down. The Rock then hit the ring to a huge ovation and helped Lesnar clean house. At that point, Commissioner Ric Flair came to ringside to another big round of applause.
Ric Flair: "Well boys, it seems like you four are itching for a fight! Well, since my main event ended so abruptly thanks to the utter dominance of Brock Lesnar, we've got a little more time in the broadcast. Let's see how much of that we can fill up! I'm making a new main event tag team match! Lesnar and The Rock will take on 'The Insurgence!' Ring that bell!"
Match Four ~ "The Richards Collective"--"The Beast" Brock Lesnar & The Rock with Eve Torres vs. "The Insurgence"--Kevin Steen & Claudio Castagnoli
This one was a rough and tumble affair. Lesnar and The Rock owned the bulk of the action. But, there were a few minutes in particular where Steen and Castagnoli isolated The Rock. Once he tagged in Lesnar, the tide turned for good. Brock hit and "F-5" on Claudio. The Rock then landed "The People's Elbow" for the pin to a massive cheer from the audience.
Winners = "The Richards Collective" by pinfall in 20:19
Immediately after the result, Braun Strowman took out Brock and The Rock. He leveled them both with "Clotheslines," then flattened them with "Running Powerslams." Maria Kanellis was directing traffic. Suddenly, Adam Cole and Britt Baker hit ringside. Cole went after Strowman with a "Missile Dropkick." Baker chased Maria around the outside of the ring. Braun stepped between Maria and Britt. He looked to stalk Baker, but Cole reengaged their fight. Maria beckoned Strowman to retreat. He relented and began to walk backwards up the ramp.
Regal: "What a finish! Maria has Braun Strowman on a mission to take out Adam Cole and the rest of 'The Richards Collective!'"
Hayes: "He never listened to anybody until Maria got a hold on him!"
Cornette: "I guess she used her feminine assets to persuade him to her way of thinking. She's a scorned woman, and they say hell hath no fury like that. In Braun Strowman, she may have gotten hell to help her!"
Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we are rapidly running out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes and Jim Cornette, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
