"Show Time Power Hour" TV Taping Number 51 (Week 101)

William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my hall of fame co-host, Michael Hayes! Michael, we're coming off the heels of our one hundredth episode, and boy was it good!"

Michael Hayes: "That's right! If you live under a rock and missed it, Brock Lesnar became the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion by pinning CM Punk!"

Regal: "Yes, the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion is now the kingpin of NWA: Show Time and is still undefeated in this company! Tonight, we'll see Lesnar make his first title defense against the massive Braun Strowman! Also, Solomon Crowe, the new number one contender to the Cruiserweight Championship will get his opportunity as he challenges Ricochet for the title here tonight! And, we'll see Adam Cole defend the TV Championship! We have a jam packed program, so let's get to it!"

Match One ~ "The Broken Universe"--"Broken Soldier Gunner & "Broken Savior" Jon Skyler with Brother Nero vs. "House of Truth"--Jay Lethal & Xavier Woods with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Zahra, Shotzi Blakkhartt, & Dana Adiva

This was a highly competitive match-up. Woods and Lethal have teamed together far longer than Gunner and Skyler, but the new members of the "Broken Universe" have gelled quickly and were very aggressive. It looked as though "HoT" would take it home, as Xavier set Jon up for "Lost in the Woods." As he went in for the move, he inadvertently poked the referee in the eye. At that moment, Jason Justice stormed to the ring and spun Woods around into a "Psycho Slam." everyone in the ring was flabbergasted. Gunner implored Skyler to make the cover, while Brother Nero kept Lethal at bay on the outside. The referee turned in his blind haze to see that a pin was being attempted. He made the count with his one good eye.

Winners = "The Broken Universe" by pinfall in 6:11

After the match, Justice kneeled before Nero and screamed, "I must be broken!" They all then departed with Nero leading the way.

Regal: "What a bizarre sequence of events have transpired with Jason Justice over the last week! First, he's leading the charge against 'The New Church,' and now he's declaring himself part of 'The Broken Universe!'"

Hayes: "Well, he's always been a few fries short of a Happy Meal."

Regal: "True. Fans, on that note, let's take a quick break."

Regal: "We're back! Before we go to our next match, 'SoCal' Val has made her way to the ring to interview our new champion, Brock Lesnar!"

Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, the new NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion, 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar."

Lesnar came out to a roar with CEO Jordan Richards en tow.

Wyndham: "Brock, congratulations on becoming the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion last week."

Jordan Richards stepped over to the microphone.

Jordan Richards: "Brock Lesnar appreciates all the congratulations he has gotten over the last week. However, Brock Lesnar has never been concerned with the praise of men. You see, he is motivated by money and carnage. Always has been. Always will be. Now, Valerie, normally I speak for brock Lesnar. However, today, he has asked that he be given the microphone to say what he needs to say."

Wyndham: "Fair enough. Brock?"

Lesnar took the microphone. Before he could speak, "Cult of Personality" played to bring out "The Power Trip," led out by a skipping AJ Lee.

CM Punk: "Hold on just a second! Before you say anything Brock, let me address the manner in which you won that championship last week. Now, the world saw the referee of record become incapacitated. He was not awake or aware enough to make a pin count. No, that was done by a secondary referee, who was not assigned to the match, after disregarding blatant interference from an outside party! That match should have been thrown out and I should be the champion today!"

Brock Lesnar: "Shut your mouth, Punk! That interference you talk about came from Braun Strowman, who I'm not so sure isn't on your payroll! He'll get what's coming to him later tonight!"

Punk: "That's what I wanted to talk about. You should not be defending the championship against Braun Strowman! And, by the way, I don't even know the guy. I can't help that he hates you. Doesn't everybody?! Anyway, I'm the former champion, which I dispute, but I do have a mandatory rematch clause and I am invoking it tonight! Braun will just have to wait in line!"

Braun Strowman's music hit to bring out an obviously angered behemoth. As he approached the ring, Commissioner Ric Flair's music hit to bring him out.

Ric Flair: "Hold on just a minute! Let me see if I can straighten this out. First of all, Braun Strowman was promised this match last week. So, it's his shot. Now, Punk, you are correct. You do have a mandatory rematch clause. That mandatory rematch will be granted in two weeks on this program."

Punk: "Two weeks?! Unacceptable!"

Flair: "I don't care if you like it or not! That's how it's going to be! By the way, your petition to have the championship returned to you has been denied! A secondary referee making a pin count is perfectly legal, so long as the assigned referee is incapacitated, which he was. So, you lost, fair and square. Now Braun, you interfered in that match and could very easily have altered the outcome. You're on thin ice, pal! Anymore interference like that and you're suspended! The main event tonight is Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Heavyweight Championship and CM Punk gets the winner in two weeks! That's final!"

Punk: "Wait a minute! Jordan Richards is the CEO of this company and he is your boss, Flair. What does he have to say about all this?!"

Richards: "I have nothing to say, Mr. Punk. I think Ric is doing a fine job. I guess Brock will see you in two weeks."

Lesnar: "Get ready, Braun! I'm whipping your a$$ tonight!"

Strowman was heard screaming, "Bring it on!" Punk and company left complaining. Punk looked directly into the camera and said, "We'll see what happens tonight!" before leaving.

Regal: "My, my! We have a volatile situation brewing!"

Hayes: "It's a hate triangle at the top of the card!"

Regal: "Fans, let's go to the ring and see Ricochet defend the Cruiserweight Championship against Solomon Crowe!"

Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ "King of the Cruiserweights" Ricochet with "La Reine" Maryse Ouellet vs. Solomon Crowe

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Ricochet by pinfall in 24:27

Regal: "Phenomenal match-up! Like him or not, Ricochet is one of the most talented athletes in the world!"

Hayes: "He's always been my boy! Crowe was dang good too!"

Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we have to take a break. We'll be back with the Television Title match next!"

Regal: "Fans, we're back! Let's go to the ring!"

Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Adam Cole with Maria Kanellis vs. Claudio Castagnoli with Lisa Varon

Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 9:01

After the match, a mysterious woman ran into the ring and hugged Cole. He embraced her back, then raised her hand. Her only identifier was her t-shirt, which read, "Brittsburgh."

The two left blissfully together with Maria following behind. She looked a bit miffed.

Regal: "I recognize the woman leaving the ring with Cole. That's his girlfriend, who is also a wrestler. Her name is Britt Baker."

Hayes: "And, that's cool that she came out to congratulate her man. But, Maria does not look happy about the whole situation."

Regal: "I'm sure she's not jealous. Her relationship with Cole has always been about business. But, something is amiss for certain. Fans, we're rolling right along. When we come back from the break, it'll be time for our huge main event!"

Regal: "We are back from the break and pressed for time. Let's go to the ring!"

Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman

Fans were salivating for this one. These two warriors stood eye-to-eye, toe-to-toe to begin the match. The fans were already chanting, "This is awesome!" before they laid one finger on each other. Once they did throw hands, they did not stop. Braun got the first big throw with an impressive "Gorilla Press Slam" on the 298-lb. Lesnar. Not to be denied, Brock maneuvered into three successive "German Suplexes." The bout was a virtual impasse, with neither man forging ahead and both out for blood. The most tantalizing sequence of the night was a massive "Superplex" off the top rope from Strowman that left he and Lesnar sprawled on the canvas. Out of nowhere, CM Punk and "The Revival" ran to the ring and began to waylay both competitors. The referee immediately called for the bell.

Winner = no contest in 10:38

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin stomped a mud hole in Lesnar while Punk threw in some shots of his own. "The Revival" hit "Shatter Machine" on Strowman. After the carnage, they stood triumphantly and surveyed the damage. Ric Flair came out to a rousing ovation, red-faced in anger.

Flair: "Punk, I told you and everyone else that we're not having this constant interference! You ruined a title match! Well, now you'll pay the consequences! I am revoking your mandatory rematch in two weeks due to conduct unbecoming! Furthermore, next week, you will face Braun Strowman in a number one contender's match! The winner faces Lesnar the week after that! If you want to get the title back, you're not taking shortcuts to do it!"

"The Power Trip" was livid, but didn't have long to protest, as The Rock, Adam Cole, and Ricochet sprinted to the ring to run them off. Lesnar stood tall with the championship. Strowman stood defiantly at ringside.

Regal: "Wow! CM Punk intended to make a statement, but he did not expect the outcome!"

Hayes: "That little plan backfired!"

Regal: "Well, I guess that means we will see another gigantic main event in a week, as Punk will clash with Strowman for the right to challenge Brock Lesnar two weeks from today!
