William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is hall of famer Michael Hayes! Michael, we have a barnburner here tonight!"
Michael Hayes: "Yes sir, Jack! We're gonna see two big title matches!"
Regal: "That's right! Dos Reinas Rudas' will defend the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship against 'Worldwide Underground!' Also, Adam Cole will defend the Television Championship against Jason Justice!"
Just then, the tron began to flash. After several seconds, this image appeared:
Christina Von Eerie: "It's about to get filthy around here."
Then, this entrance theme played on the tron:
"Reno Scum" hit the ring and grabbed a microphone.
Luster the Legend: "What's up, Charlotte?! Are you ready to get filthy?!"
Adam Thornstowe: "We're 'Reno Scum!' I'm Adam Thornstowe! This is Luster the Legend! And, you've met 'The Patron Saint of Filth' Christina Von Eerie before, she tells us! We're here and we're ready to beat some people up!"
At that point, "Killer Elite Squad" came out with their manager Taylor Gallagher.
Davey Boy Smith, Jr.: "So, you're here to beat people up?! Well, you can go back to Reno, because that's our job around here!"
Luster: "Oh yeah?! Well, prove it!"
"KES" walked toward the ring. Before they could climb in, Commissioner Ric Flair's music hit to bring him out with a raucous ovation behind him.
Ric Flair: "So, you fellas want to fight. Well, let's make this official! Get me a referee out here and we'll have 'Reno Scum's' debut match up next!"
Regal: "Fans, we'll take a quick break and come back for this impromptu match-up!"
After the break, the broadcast came back on with the match in progress.
Match One ~ "Killer Elite Squad"--Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Hoyt with Taylor Gallagher vs. "Reno Scum"--Luster the Legend & Adam Thornstowe with "Patron saint of Filth" Christina Von Eerie
"Reno Scum" uses some very unorthodox and innovative tandem offense that we have not seen before. They were impressive, especially against a powerhouse team like "KES." Smith and Hoyt did take over the middle portion of the match, as they isolated Thornstowe. Once he tagged in Luster, the match became chaotic until the end. Just before the finish, the women got involved. Von Eerie gave chase to Gallagher. The two actually ended up in the ring. Von Eerie took out Gallagher, which distracted Hoyt, enabling 'Reno Scum' to hit the "Reno Plunge" finisher for the win.
Winners = "Reno Scum" by pinfall in 9:06
Regal: "What a debut for 'Reno Scum!' They got a big win over a formidable tag team!"
Hayes: "When you beat 'Killer Elite Squad' in your first match, you're doing something!"
Regal: "We have to take a quick break, but we'll be back with the first of two big championship matches when we return!"
Regal: "We're back! Let's go to the ring for the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship match!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship ~ "Dos Reinas Rudas"--Taya & Sexy Star with Lana vs. "Worldwide Underground"--"Darewolf" PJ Black & Jack Evans with "Empress of the Underground" Catrina
This was a fast-paced and entertaining match that resembled a traditional lucha contest more than it did an American pro wrestling match. Sides were switching in and out of the ring with very little tagging going on, proving to be somewhat of a beautiful disaster. Taya and Sexy have been so impressive as a ladies team in an all-male division. They have accounted for themselves very well. Unfortunately, their magical run came to an end here. Taya attempted interference, which backfired, causing Sexy to get blasted. Evans seized the opportunity to go to the top rope after Black "Super Kicked" Taya out of the ring. He hit a "720 Splash" for the first time on a major television broadcast to pick up the victory and the titles.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions = "Worldwide Underground" by pinfall in 16:41
Regal: "Big win for 'Worldwide Underground,' as they take their first title in the company!"
Hayes: "They've always had the goods. They just needed the right opportunity."
Regal: "That '720 Splash' by Evans was breath-taking! He's only hit that a couple of times in his career!"
Hayes: "If I tried that in my day, I'd have broken my neck!"
Regal: "Me too! Fans, I think Joanna Rose has caught up with the new champions. Let's go to her now!"
Joanna Rose: "Thank you, William. I'm here with the brand new Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, 'Worldwide Underground!' Gentlemen, you defeated a team that had made history here in NWA: Show Time. Now, you've won your first championship here. How does it feel?"
PJ Black: "It's vindication for Taya and Sexy Star stealing these belts from us in the first place. It's also validation of what we've been saying all along. We're the best the Cruiserweight division has to offer!"
Jack Evans: "This win represents the end of a long road, one that's had many obstacles. We overcame them all and look at us now! We're the kings of the mountain!"
Rose: "The competition is stiff in the Cruiserweight division. I'm sure there will be several teams gunning for you now, especially 'Dos Reinas Rudas,' who no doubt will demand a rematch."
Catrina: "Let them all come. We will destroy any team that gets in our way! It's time for the Cruiserweight division in NWA: Show Time to go underground!"
Rose: "There you have it from the new Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions. Back to you."
Regal: "I'm told that Taya and Sexy Star are causing a scene backstage. We've dispatched a cameraman. Let's see what is going on."
The scene shifted to the locker room, where Taya and Sexy Star were screaming and tossing clothing and other items around the room.
Taya: "Those belts are ours! We want them back!"
Sexy Star: "¡Los perros pagarán! ¡Queremos esos cinturones (Those dogs will pay! We want those belts)!"
"Dos Reinas Rudas" continued to seethe as the scene cut back to the commentary booth.
Regal: "We knew they'd be upset, but Taya and Sexy Star have gone mad!"
Hayes: "They say that hell hath no fury liked a woman scorned. Well, we'll see soon enough, I'd guess."
Regal: "Indeed! Those two will be on the warpath to regain their championships. Fans, let's take a commercial break. We'll be back with more in just a moment."
Regal: "Welcome back to the Show Time Power Hour! Let's go to the ring for our Television Championship match!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Adam Cole with Maria Kanellis vs. "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice
This was a colossal back-and-forth match. Cole was the quicker of the two. Justice, the bigger, stronger, and more experienced. Still, Cole's acumen belies his age. He is a cerebral ring general, to be sure. He did control the majority of the bout. Justice came roaring back at the end, though. He even hit the "Psycho Slam." Before he could cover, however, the lights went out. When they came back on, the ring was surrounded by "The New Church." They approached the ring, but stopped when Mikael Judas' music hit. He came to the ring through the crowd. "The Enchantress" Skyler Moon was not with him, surprisingly. Judas jumped into the ring with former partner Justice, who was trepidatious at first. Justice then got the sense that his old friend was there to help and began to get more excited. He turned to give Judas a high-five. Mikael glared at him, then performed the throat-slit taunt and backed out of the ring as "The New Church" attacked. The referee rang the bell. Cole escaped and took the Television Championship belt with him.
Winner = no contest in 18:19 (Cole retains)
While Mordecai and company beat up Justice, Judas stood outside the ring with his arms outstretched from side to side. Moon joined Judas and smiled at the carnage. The Sinister Minister came over and bowed in front of Judas, signifying that he was the "higher authority" all along.
Regal: "This is a sickening display!"
Hayes: "Somebody get some help out here before they kill Jason Justice!"
Judas stepped into the ring and every other member of "The New Church" Backed away. He leveled Justice with a "Chokeslam," then the entire group posed over the top of him.
Regal: "Fans, let's cut away to commercial. We'll be back in a few moments."
Regal: "Fans, we're back and we're still scratching our heads over what we've seen here. We thought that Mikael Judas was the next target of 'The New Church.' It turns out that he was the one pulling the strings the entire time!"
Hayes: "He swerved us all. That's for sure."
Regal: "All right, fans. 'SoCal' Val is standing by with an exclusive sit-down interview. Let's take you to that now."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with 'The Power Trip.' Last week, we saw you come out and interfere in the aftermath of the brutal encounter between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. What were your intentions?"
CM Punk: "First of all, we did not interfere. We simply seized an opportunity. The match essentially was over. So, we didn't decide the outcome. We just saw a chance to pick off Brock Lesnar and we took it."
Wyndham: "So, this was not a premeditated attack?"
Punk: "Oh, I don't know about that. Why don't you ask the same question of Brock Lesnar. He sneak-attacked us and no one is giving him the Spanish Inquisition about it. What about fair coverage, Valerie?"
Wyndham: "Fair enough. Brock Lesnar did attack you during the Six-Man Tag Team Championship tournament. Is that the motivation for this latest attack?"
Punk: "We were sending a message to Brock Lesnar and anyone like him. You don't mess with 'The Power Trip.'"
Wyndham: "So, what is your ultimate goal?"
Scott Dawson: "Let me take this one, champ. Our goal is the same it's always been--to hold onto these belts for as long as we see fit, by any means necessary. Brock Lesnar is a threat to that goal. So, we intend to neutralize the threat and maintain our positions in this company."
Dash Wilder: "You see, we didn't get to where we are today by sitting back and hoping the challengers go away. None of us did! We got to where we are by taking out all of the challengers. No one can touch CM Punk in the ring. No one can touch 'The Revival' in the ring. No one can touch AJ Lee in the ring. And, no one could touch 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in the ring. We call ourselves the 'Top Guys' because it's the truth! We will take out Lesnar and the rest of 'The Richards Collective!' Any, if those ridiculous 'Broken Hardys' want some, we're not hard to find!"
Steve Austin: "Val, you only need to know one thing. We're the best there is, plain and simple. We are a great American winning machine and we will continue to be for a very long time. And, that's the bottom line, because 'Stone Cold' said so!"
AJ Lee sneered at Valerie Wyndham before the group walked away.
Wyndham: "Ok. Well, I guess that answers that. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Strong words from 'The Power Trip.' Next week, they'll have the opportunity to put their money where their mouths are. We've been handed a memo signed by Commissioner Ric Flair stating that CM Punk will defend the Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar in a rematch and that 'The Revival' will defend the Tag Team Championship against the World Tag Team Champions, 'The Broken Hardys!' That will be a blockbuster episode next Tuesday!"
Hayes: "You dang right it will be!"
Regal: "Fans, please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for another exciting edition of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
As the episode concluded, the scene cut backstage, where "The New Church" was beating down "Sons of Steel." They left Boomer Payne and Brice Anthony laying. Skyler Moon looked into the camera, smirked, and proclaimed, "The purge has begun." The scene then faded to black.
