William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is hall of famer and color commentator extraordinaire, Michael Hayes! Michael, we're a week away from Spring Stampede and things are heating up!"
Michael Hayes: "It's getting hot outside and even hotter inside! NWA: Show Time is cooking!"
Regal: "I couldn't have said it better myself! Today's episode will be no different! We have a tag team 'gauntlet' to determine number one contenders to 'The Revival's' Tag Team Championship. Speaking of 'The Revival,' we have seen some very cryptic Tweeting by 'Broken' Matt Hardy that seems to allude to some sort of challenge for Dash and Dawson."
Hayes: "I've read those myself. It does seem that The Hardys have put a target on the backs of our Tag Team Champions. We'll have to see how that plays out."
Regal: "Also, as has been broadcast across the country this past weekend, Brock Lesnar made his presence felt to 'The Revival' and CM Punk. Lesnar attacked 'The Power Trip' as they made their way to the ring to face 'Euro Trash' in the NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship tournament. Brock beat them mercilessly with a steel chair until doctors deemed them unfit to wrestle, causing them to forfeit the match and a chance at the titles. There are bound to be repercussions for that act."
Hayes: "You would think so. Then again, not many people seek revenge against Brock Lesnar."
Regal: "Touche' good sir."
Just then, "Also sprach Zarathustra" played to bring out Commissioner Ric Flair to a huge ovation.
Ric Flair: "Wooooo! We are live and on fire in Charlotte tonight! NWA: Show Time is the number one promotion in this sport and I am the man in charge! Wooooo! Well now, it seems the NWA has a pay-per-view coming up on April twenty-third, called Spring Stampede. Now, that's an event that the 'Nature Boy' made famous! I had some phenomenal matches against guys like Barry Windham and Ricky Steamboat at that very event! Well, I'm going to make sure that our company is well represented at that pay-per-view. I've decided that NWA: Show Time's match at Spring Stampede will pit..."
"Cult of Personality" interrupted Flair to bring out "The Power Trip."
CM Punk: "I am the Heavyweight Champion of this company. These are the Tag Team Champions. we deserve some respect around here!"
Flair: "First of all, Punk, you seem to be forgetting yourself! You're talking to the twenty-time World Champion and your boss!"
Punk: "Whatever, Flair! We demand that something be done about Brock Lesnar!"
Flair: "Brock Lesnar?! What do you suppose I need to do about him?"
Punk: "Fire him!"
Flair: "I don't think so! Brock Lensar put people in these seats and in the seats of arenas from here to Virginia, down to Florida, and back! He's not going anywhere!"
Punk: "He cost us the World Six-Man Titles on Friday night, and you're going to do nothing about it?!"
Flair: "Yeah, I saw that. It is unfortunate that NWA: Show Time lost its last shot at those titles. But, what's done is done. It can't be changed now. I'll tell you what. If you want something to be done about Brock, why don't you do it yourself?"
Punk: "Fine! We want Lesnar in the ring tonight!"
Flair: "We?"
Punk: "Dash, Dawson, and I want revenge on Lesnar!"
Flair: "Are you telling me that you want to challenge Brock Lesnar to a three-on-one 'Handicap' match?!"
Punk: Hey, he didn't seem to mind it when he was attacking all three of us from behind with a steel chair!"
Flair: "I'm not going to put Brock Lesnar in a no-win situation like that!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva played to bring out CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Sorry to interrupt, gentlemen, but Brock and I were in the back listening to this interview. We watched 'The Power Trip' rudely barge in on the time of our esteemed Commissioner Ric Flair as he was about to announce the NWA: Show Time representative match at Spring Stampede. Now, I know what Mr. Flair was going to announce and it was going to be a great one. But, Brock had a thought and asked me to come out here and deliver his message. First of all, there is no such thing as a no-win situation for 'The Beast.' There are no odds that he can't overcome. With that said, he is more than willing to accept the 'Handicap' match on one condition. That, after he beats 'The Power Trip' tonight, the Spring Stampede match be made official as he versus CM Punk for the NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship in a 'No Holds Barred' match!"
Steve Austin: "Hold on now! Wait just one minute! Brock Lesnar attacks my men, costing us a chance at World Championship gold, and now he's demanding a title match against CM Punk?! He already had his shot and he came away empty-handed! He's gotta go to the back of the line!"
Flair: "Actually, Brock won that match by disqualification after you pulled the referee out of the ring on a sure pinfall. So, Brock is entitled to a rematch, since he owns an official victory over the champion. So, I will grant Brock's request. You three will take on Brock Lesnar in the main event tonight. If he wins, you'll defend that title in a 'No Holds Barred' match at the pay-per-view!"
Punk and company were upset, but quickly began to plot their match as they left ringside.
Regal: "Now, that's a first for this program! We'll see a three-on-one 'Handicap' match later on!"
Hayes: "And, if Brock Lesnar can somehow win, which is a stretch, even for him, he gets Punk in a 'No Holds Barred' match for the belt on April twenty-third!"
Regal: "Wow! what a way to start the hour off right! Now, let's go to the ring for our first match-up!"
Match One ~ "American Alpha"--Jason Jordan & Chad Gable vs. "British Strong Style"--"Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne & Trent Seven with Tyler Bate
This was a fantastic match, that saw many twists and turns along the way. Jordan and Gable were at their athletic best. Seven and Dunne were mat technicians, as always. They worked Gable's left leg masterfully and isolated him for several minutes before the match's climax. Gable finally got the tag to Jordan, who came in like a house of fire. He laid out everyone in sight, including Bate, who tried to interfere. The crowd was amped up for the finish. It looked like "Alpha" would prevail, as they set up for "Grand Amplitude." But, Dunne took out Jordan and then clipped the left leg of Gable, causing Seven to fall on top of him. Gable was writhing in pain from the "Chop Block" and didn't realize he was being pinned until too late.
Winners = "British Strong Style" by pinfall in 18:03
Regal: "What a fine match! Unfortunate ending for 'American Alpha,' but they fought valiantly."
Hayes: "Yeah, but that's two losses in two televised matches in two weeks. Fighting valiantly isn't going to get you to the pay window."
Regal: "These youngsters are hungry. They'll right the ship."
Just then, Kurt Angle's music hit to bring out "The Olympic Hero," who hopped into the ring and began to speak to "American Alpha" off microphone. The three left together.
Regal: "I'm not sure what is going on there, but it looks like 'American Alpha' has some sort of ally in Kurt Angle."
Hayes: "They couldn't ask for a more appropriate mentor. I'll tell you that!"
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, let's take a break. we'll be back momentarily!"
Regal: "We're back! Let's take you now to 'SoCal' Val, who is standing by with Television Champion Adam Cole. Valerie, take it away!"
Valerie Wyndham: "I am here with Adam Cole, the current Television Champion, who is one Tag Team Championship reign away from becoming our first Grand Slam Champion in NWA: Show Time. Do you have eyes on the Tag Team Championship?"
Adam Cole: "Good question, Val. Honestly, I'm content to defend this Television Championship, for now. I will go after those Tag Titles eventually, and I will make history. But, this championship is taking me all over the world, as I'm seen by millions every week."
Wyndham: "So, it's safe to say that the Tag Team Championship is on your radar. So, when you decide to challenge for it, do you have a partner in mind?"
Cole: "Of course. There are at least three other qualified candidates in 'The Richards Collective' who'd make world class partners. I might also look elsewhere. I have plenty of friends in the business."
Wyndham: "Understood. So, we saw you and Kevin Steen have an epic encounter last week. You've had a storied rivalry with him over the years. Any chance we could see you two tangle again?"
Cole: "Kevin Steen is a quality athlete. He always gives me a great challenge. Ultimately, he always loses. But, we sure do put on some incredible matches. I have never refused to fight anyone. Why would I? I am the best pro wrestler in the world. If he earns another shot, I'll give it to him."
Wyndham: "Is there anyone in the company who you'd like to get into the ring with?"
Cole: "I'm all about pursuing excellence. To do that, I have to push myself by beating the best competition out there. I'd like to get another crack at CM Punk. He's cheated me every time we've wrestled so far. But, in a fair fight, he couldn't hold a candle to me. He seems to have his hands full tonight with Brock Lesnar. Maybe I'll pick up the scraps. But, I'd really love to get a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. I've more than earned that."
Wyndham: "I think the world would like to see Adam Cole take on Bray Wyatt."
Cole: "Of course they would. Now, Bray wouldn't like how it ended, but I'd love to get him in the ring."
Wyndham: "So, what's on the horizon for Adam Cole?"
Cole: "Here's what's on the horizon. More of the same; I will continue to face and defeat everyone placed in front of me. I will be the first Grand Slam Champion in this company's history. Eventually, I will be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion."
Wyndham: "You have a title defense in mere moments against young Cody Hall, who will have his hall of famer father Scott with him, no doubt. What are your thoughts about this title defense?"
Cole: "Who's ready for story time with Adam Cole, bay bay?! Once upon a time, a big, ugly giant came to challenge the handsome prince to a duel. The giant was bigger and stronger than the prince, but the prince was smarter, more talented, and had more heart. The prince was triumphant over the big, ugly giant and the kingdom cheered for their hero once again."
Wyndham: "There you have it. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Strong words from the Television Champion. Let's go to the ring for his title defense."
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Adam Cole with Maria Kanellis vs. Cody Hall with Scott Hall
Hall has developed since working solely with his father. He was aggressive and calculated. But, Cole is a gifted performer. He had the know-how factor working in his favor. Hall went for the "Razor's Edge," only to see Cole slip out of it and hit a "Super Kick" that sent Hall reeling. Cole uncorked the "Last Shot" for the win.
Winner and STILL NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 11:20
Regal: "Adam Cole is impressive here once again. Cody Hall gave him a run for his money, but the champion prevailed."
Hayes: "I've always been very high on Adam Cole. He's a true talent."
Regal: "I agree. Fans, we'll be back with more in just a moment."
Regal: "We're back. Let's go to the ring."
Match Three ~ "The Menagerie"--Knox, The Titanic, & Crazzy Steve with Rebel vs. "Worldwide Underground"--Johnny Mundo, "Darewolf" PJ Black, & Jack Evans with "Empress of the Underground" Catrina
This was a frantic match. "The Menagerie" is a weird, macabre, yet comedic and entertaining group. Knox is completely changed since forming this association. "worldwide Underground" is a dynamic team that can fly from anywhere to any heights. This match was a stalemate until "The Freakshow" came to ringside. Inexplicably, they jumped into the ring and attacked Mundo, causing the disqualification.
Winners = "Worldwide Underground" by disqualification in 8:47
Regal: "Why would Sinn Bodhi and Pagano attack Johnny Mundo in the middle of the match? They cost their friends the victory."
Hayes: "I don't get it either. Although, none of those dudes is playing with a full deck."
When confronted by Knox, Bodhi and Pagano attacked "The Menagerie." Pagano stuck The Titanic and Crazzy Steve in the gut with his barbed wire baseball bat. Bodhi hit a low blow on Knox and they laid the boots to them. Karen DeLa Kreep even took out Rebel from behind. Afterward, Sinn could be heard shouting, "We made you! We can break you!" at Knox and company.
Regal: "What a bizarre turn of events there!"
Hayes: "You got that right!"
Regal: "We'll take a break and be back with our main event. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back from commercial. It's time for the main event! Let's go back to the ring!"
Match Four ~ Three-on-One "Handicap" match ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Eve Torres vs. "The Power Trip"--CM Punk & "The Revival"--Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson with AJ Lee and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Brock began the match on fire, hitting "German Suplexes" on each of his opponents right out of the gate. Eventually, the numbers game caught up with him and he was overtaken by his three opponents. "The Power Trip" worked Lesnar over with a surgeon's precision. They dissected his body parts in an effort to weaken him overall. Lesnar continued to fight back, having glimpses of brilliance, but it appeared as thought three-on-one was too much, even for a "Beast." AJ Lee and Eve Torres were having words, as those two had a rivalry years ago. AJ took a swing at Torres, who ducked it and locked in a "Rear Naked Choke." AJ flailed as she tried to get free, but Torres cinched in tighter. AJ Was about to go out, but Austin made the save by grabbing Eve's long, brown hair and jerked her away. Punk watched this unfold and left the ring to assist his fallen wife. Torres caught Austin with a forearm to the face, followed by a low blow. Punk then went after Torres, who retreated. In the ring, "The Revival" set up for "Shatter Machine." Before they could execute, Lesnar scooped Dawson up into a quick "F-5." The swinging motion sent Dawson's legs careening into Wilder, knocking him out of the ring. Lesnar made the quick co0ver before Punk could realize what was going on.
Winner = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 15:14
Punk was livid when he turned and saw Lesnar's hand raised in victory. He threw a tantrum at ringside as Dawson recovered in the ring.
Regal: "Brock Lesnar overcame the odds and won! He will get CM Punk at Spring Stampede, 'No Holds Barred!'"
Hayes: "That one is going to be a straight-up war!"
As Lesnar backed up the entrance ramp, he smiled and pointed at CM Punk. He then did the championship belt motion across his waist.
Regal: "It looks like Brock Lesnar will get what he wants--CM Punk in the ring, one-on-one! Fans, we're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
