William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my hall of fame cohort, Michael Hayes! We hope you had a fantastic Christmas! welcome to the last broadcast of this program in 2016! Michael, we're in for a wild one here tonight!"
Michael Hayes: "And, wild is right up my alley, Billy! After destroying Kevin Steen and Scott Hall last week, 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar has set his sights back on regaining the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to be in Bray Wyatt's shoes right about now!"
Regal: "No, indeed! That man is a crazed individual these days! Speaking of Brock, he ran roughshod through the competition in Chapel Hill to capture the platinum anniversary edition of 'Big Gold!' we'll be showing you highlights of that tournament on next week's episode. On another note, we saw Adrian Neville attack Cruiserweight Champion Dean Ambrose and contender Jay White last week. Neville is demanding a title shot and Ambrose has obliged! We'll see that in the hour, plus a Tag Team Championship defense by 'The Revival!' But first, let's get started with members of 'The Richards Collective' in action!"
Match One ~ "The Richards Collective"--CM Punk, Ricochet, & The Rock with AJ Lee, Maryse Ouellet, & Eve Torres vs. "Aces High"--Bully Ray, D-Von, & Knox
"Aces High" has seen themselves fall on hard times with a recent losing skid. This match was no different. Punk, Ricochet, and The Rock were dynamic, while their biker club opponents were flat and uninspired. In the midst of a six-man brawl, Punk nailed Knox with the "GTS" for the pin.
Winners = "The Richards Collective" by pinfall in 10:32
After the match, "The Richards Collective" was interviewed at ringside by "SoCal" Val.
Valerie Wyndham: "Gentlemen, let me get a quick word from you."
CM Punk: "You want a quick word?! 'The Richards Collective' saved pro wrestling this year. In 2017, we'll redefine it!"
Ricochet: "We have flown high in the past, but we plan to fly even higher in 2017!"
The Rock: "The Rock says, everyone is on notice! If you're not with us, you're against us! 'The Richards Collective' is going to stay on the top of the mountain for a long, long time! And, Cody hall, don't think The Rock's forgotten about you, punk! That Mid-Atlantic Title is coming back home, right after The Rock shines up his big ole size thirteen boot, turns it sideways, and sticks it straight up your candy a**! If ya smellllllllll, what The Rock, is cooking!"
Regal: "They were of few words, but powerful ones!"
Hayes: You got it! Hey, what's going on in the ring?!"
The attention turned back to the ring, where Bully Ray and D-Von were having words with Knox. It seemed, for a moment, that the three had squashed whatever beef they had with one another. As they went to leave, D-Von dropped Knox from behind. He and Bully Ray began to wail on their club mate. They set up a table and nailed a "3-D," sending Knox crashing through the splintered wood. They set up another table and leveled Knox with a "Bully Bomb" through it. Ray and D-Von then flashed their familiar three finger sign as they left the ring.
Regal: "We just witnessed the implosion of 'Aces High!'"
Hayes: "They say the only way to get out of a gang is to be beaten out! I guess it's true!"
Regal: "Fans, we need to take a commercial break. We'll be back in a moment."
As officials came down to check on Knox, Sinn Bodhi led out "The Freakshow," which loaded Knox up on their shoulders and took him backstage.
Regal: "Fans, we're back. You saw that bizarre scene just as we were going to the break, where 'The Freakshow' came out, scooped up Knox, and dragged him to the back. What in the world was that all about?"
Hayes: "I don't know, but Knox and 'The Freakshow' would make for some strange bedfellows."
Regal: "Fans, it's time for our Cruiserweight Championship match!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Championship ~ Dean Ambrose vs. "The Man Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville
Fabulous match until the very end, which was marred by outside interference. Ambrose was methodical in his approach to Neville, which is in stark contrast to his normal devil-may-care attitude. Neville was vicious to coincide with his new mean streak exhibited last week. Both men had chances at victory throughout. The end came when Neville was setting us for his "Red Arrow" finisher as the referee was down on the canvas (following a collision with Ambrose). An enraged Jay White, who was attacked by Neville last week, stormed down to ringside. He went after Neville, landing several shots to his head. White then scaled the ropes and launched himself for his signature "Missile Dropkick." Neville dodged the blow, but White ended up slamming into Ambrose, who has just stood up. Neville dumped White to the outside and hit the "red Arrow" on Ambrose, securing the pin and the championship.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Cruiserweight Champion = Adrian Neville by pinfall in 22:19
Regal: "Jay White's big 'Dropkick' not only backfired, but struck the wrong man and cost him the title!"
Hayes: Wow! What a turn of events!"
Regal: "Fans, we have to take a break! We'll be back in just a moment with our Tag Team Title main event!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the ring, Joanna Rose has cornered Sinn Bodhi in the back for a word."
Joanna Rose: "I'm standing by with the leader of 'The Freakshow,' Sinn Bodhi. Sinn, can you tell us why your group dragged Knox away from the ring earlier in the evening?"
Sinn Bodhi: "My, my, my, little miss! You ask the probing questions, don't you? Well, all in good time. Let me just say that one man's trash is another man's treasure."
Bodhi walked away laughing.
Rose: "An ambiguous answer, to say the least. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Thank you, Joanna! We still have no real information from Sinn Bodhi, but he's obviously up to something."
Hayes: "Yeah. That guy's a weirdo. I don't get him."
Regal: "Fans, let's go to the ring for our main event!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Revival"--Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder vs. "The Kingdom"--Matt Taven & Michael Bennett with Taylor Gallagher
This was a classic tag team encounter, a real grind it out type of match. Dash and Dawson worked over Taven's knee and kept him in their corner for many minutes. Bennett agonized in his corner, urging his best friend on to make the tag. Taven finally did, and Bennett was a house of fire. He turned the tide for a brief moment before walking into a "Shatter Machine" that sealed his fate.
Winners and STILL NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Revival" by pinfall in 21:40
After the match, Bennett and Taven manhandled Senior Referee Nick Patrick, going so far as to hit the "Hail Mary" on him. As they went to exit the ring, they were confronted by CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Boys, you fallen hard since I brought you into this company! You were on top of the world at one point! Now, look at you! You're shells of your former selves! You have sunk to the depths, my friends. But, because I saw something in both of you, I kept you around. Well, after what you just did to my Senior Official, the gravy train is over boys! You're fired!"
Taven and Bennett went crazy, but Richards simply walked away. Some fans began to sing, "Na, na, na, na! Na, na, na, na! Hey, hey, hey! Goodbye!"
Regal: "I cannot believe that we just saw Michael Bennett and Matt Taven unceremoniously fired right here!"
Hayes: "They're gone, baby! I like those kids, but attacking Nick Patrick like that must have been the straw that broke the camel's back for Jordan Richards!"
Regal: "I guess so! Well, it appears that 'The Kingdom' is no more! Fans, what a controversial and exciting hour! We've seen enough in sixty minutes to make our heads spin! Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for the first Show Time Power Hour of the new year, when we'll revisit the 'Big Gold' Platinum Anniversary Tournament! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
