William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my hall of fame broadcast partner, Michael Hayes! Michael, we had a fantastic episode last week. This week looks to be even better, as every match will feature tag team action!"
Michael Hayes: "Yep! NWA: Show Time is on fire right now! We've got Brock Lesnar on the warpath, we've got a huge announcement by Jordan Richards tonight, and whatever other surprises are around the corner!"
Just then, "The Bullet Club's" theme hit to bring out Commissioner Scott Hall and "Under Boss" Bad Luck Fale.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! Jordan Richards, get your sorry backside out here right now! You've got some explaining to do!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out CEO Jordan Richards.
Jordan Richards: "Well, well, well. Scottie my boy, you seem a little upset!"
Scott Hall: "A little upset?! I'm pissed! You sold my guys out from under me!"
Richards: "Oh, I see. You must be referring to that blockbuster trade I pulled with NWA: UHCW. Yes, the one where I sold 'Guerillas of Destiny' in exchange for a couple of folks who will be debuting here tonight. Hey, what can I say? Deals like that don't cross my desk very often. It sort of fell in my lap, so I took it!"
Hall: "Your little deal just took out two of the strongest members of 'The Bullet Club!' And, you're going to sit there and tell me it was just a really good deal?! Come on! Don't insult our intelligence!"
Richards: "Hey, it's not as if they're out of a job. The owner of UHCW wanted to add to his version of 'Bullet Club.' What better way to do that than to give him one of the original members? It's a win-win for him and a slam dunk for me. I get two quality stars in Jack Evans and Catrina, and I managed to put you in your place, all in one grand maneuver! Let me remind you of something, Commissioner Hall. You work for me, not the other way around! When you start messing with the boss, you could find yourself in the bread line with a pink slip in your hand! Don't ever make the mistake of crossing me! I am no one's hero! I don't do what I do to gain new friends and fans! I'm a businessman, so I conduct business! I certainly don't have to explain myself to you or anyone else for that matter! Whatever decisions I make, whatever agenda I have, and whoever I surround myself with are not up for debate or discussion! If you want good, healthy competition at the top of this organization, I'm all for it. Bring it on! But, the second you turn your attacks toward me personally is the second you will have major problems! If I want to fire every member of 'Bullet Club' and rid myself of you for good, I'll do it with a smile on my face! I keep your people around because 'BC' merchandise sells well and they are quality athletes. But, you and 'The Bullet Club' are not expendable! Need I remind you that it was just a few short months ago that you were trying to take over this company and the entire NWA?! Did you think I'd just forget that?! Not a chance, pal! Now, I suggest you and that big, bad Samoan take what is left of 'The Bullet Club' and get ready for your match tonight, before I dismantle the whole thing!"
Hall: "So, that's how it's going to be, huh?! Any time someone's a threat to you, you're just going to get rid of them?!"
Richards: "Cross me and find out."
Hall: "Don't think 'Bullet Club' will roll over and take this lying down! We're coming hard for your boys! You'd better believe that!"
Richards: "Looking forward to it."
Regal: "Now, that was a heated exchange there! We haven't seen Jordan Richards that fired up in a while!"
Hayes: "Hey, the man has more patience than I would have! I'd have fired 'Bullet Club' months ago!"
Regal: "Fans, we've got a huge episode lined up, headlined by a 'no disqualfication' return match for the Tag Team Titles! We'll be back with our first match in just a moment!
Regal: "Fans, we're back from the break. Let's go to the ring for our first match!"
Match One ~ "The Bullet Club"--"Under Boss" Bad Luck Fale, Cody Hall, & Hangman Page with Commissioner Scott Hall and Yellow Barbie vs. "Aces High"--Bully Ray, D-Von, & Knox
This was a good back-and-forth match, with a lot of smash mouth action. Both teams had their moments to shine. In the end, Commissioner Hall's interference changed the course. He distracted D-Von during a melee, which allowed Cody Hall to sneak up behind him and catch him with the "Razor's Edge" for the victory.
Winners = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 13:19
Regal: "Another in the long line of great battles marred by the constant interference of 'Bullet Club' members."
Hayes: "These guys are good enough to win on their own, but they almost never do."
After the match, Brock Lesnar hit the ring and destroyed everyone in his path for the second week. He then pointed at Commissioner Scott Hall and screamed, "Come on!" Hall backed off and took "Bullet Club" with him.
Regal: "Brock Lesnar is a beast all right! Until he gets his revenge, no match is safe around here!"
Hayes: "I told you he was on the warpath! Put that man in the ring with Kevin Steen and Scott Hall! Lock them up in a cage! Do something before this man kills everybody!"
Regal: "Fans, when we return, we'll see the debuts of 'Worldwide Underground!' Please stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back! Before we go to the ring, 'SoCal' Val has a word from the challengers in tonight's main event, 'The Revival.' Let's go to them now."
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. Gentlemen, you have a return match for the Tag Team Championship tonight. This time, it will carry a 'no disqualification' stipulation. Don't you think that favors the Champions?"
Scott Dawson: "Let me tell you something, Val! There is no scenario we can be put in that does not favor us! We are the best tag team in the world! We are a well oiled machine! We work with laser-sharp precision!"
Dash Wilder: "The bottom line is this--we have beaten the champs once, when they got themselves DQ'ed because they knew they were about to lose those belts! Tonight, there are no excuses! 'The Revival' was born for moments like these! We are here to make tag team wrestling great again, and it starts with making examples of Mikael Judas and Jason Justice!"
Wyndham: "You seem very confident heading into a match with the most physically imposing team in the company. What makes you so sure you can defeat them?''
Wilder: "What kind of question is that?! When you're the best team in the world, there is no doubt!"
Dawson: "We work that ring like no one has since the eighties! People compare us to Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. They mention us in the same breath with 'The Midnight Express' and 'The Freebirds.' But, by the time our careers are over, we'll have proven that those teams can't even hold our jocks!"
Wyndham: "A very confident duo. Back to you, William."
Regal: "Wow. 'The Revival' is talking themselves up. I only hope they live up to their own hype."
Hayes: "When you start referencing teams like Blanchard and Anderson, 'The Midnights,' and my 'Fabulous Freebirds,' you'd better be able to back that talk up with some action!"
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, it's time to get a look at our newest signees, 'Worldwide Underground!' Let's go back to the ring!"
Match Two ~ "Worldwide Underground"--Johnny Mundo, "Darewolf" PJ Black, & Jack Evans with "Queen of the Underground" Catrina vs. "The Freakshow"--"Los Psycho Circus"--Murder Clown, Monster Clown, & Psycho Clown with Karen DeLa Kreep
This became somewhat of a lucha style match, as "Los Psycho Circus" has an extensive history in Mexico, although Evans, Mundo, and Black are versed in the lucha arts as well. The smaller "Underground" used their quickness and tandem offense to secure the victory. The end came when Evans hit a breathtaking "720 Splash" on Psycho Clown.
Winners = "Worldwide Underground" by pinfall in 11:54
Regal: "Impressive debut by 'Worldwide Underground!' They are a dynamic group of athletes!"
Hayes: "They tore it up in there! Those kids are awesome! And, that Catrina is as sultry as she is mysterious!"
Regal: "I would agree with that assessment."
Johnny Mundo grabbed a microphone.
Johnny Mundo: "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you the group that will revolutionize this company, 'Worldwide Underground!' I am Johnny Mundo, Hollywood superstar, parkour expert, and world class wrestler. This is the 'Darewolf' PJ Black. he has not met a death-defying challenge yet that he wouldn't tackle. He's a bona fide adrenaline junkie. Next to him is Mr. Jack Evans, world renowned superstar and the first man in history to pull off the move you just saw, the '720 Splash.' Finally, the lovely lady on the end is Catrina, the 'Queen of the Underground.' She make the whole thing tick. She is the mystical temptress with the power of death at her fingertips. Now, we heard that there is a Cruiserweight Division around here. That's cool. We are all ripped to the bone, but we're also all less than two hundred twenty-five pounds. So, Dean Ambrose, Jay White, and whoever else competes in that weight class, be warned. 'Worldwide Underground' is gunning for you!"
Regal: "What a statement of intentions by Johnny Mundo!"
Hayes: "He just called out the Cruiserweights on their first night in the company!"
Regal: "we'll be back with a major announcement from Jordan Richards next, followed by our huge main event!"
Regal: "We're back! Let's go to the ring, where Joanna Rose is standing by."
Joanna Rose: "Ladies and gentlemen, NWA: Show Time CEO Jordan Richards."
Jordan Richards came out once again to make an announcement. He had a large velour bag in his hand.
Rose: "We know that you blocked out this time to make a big announcement. everyone is on pins and needles."
Richards: "Thank you, Joanna. Yes, a have an announcement that I am very excited about. As some of you may know, two thousand sixteen marks the twenty-year anniversary of the iconic championship belt created by Crumrine Jewelers, a famous customizing shop in Las Vegas, known for its intricate design style. This belt, first presented to 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair, has affectionately come to be known as 'Big Gold.' 'Big Gold' was used from nineteen eight-six until two thousand fifteen. It now resides in the hands of a private collector and makes rare appearances at trade events, comicons, and the like. NWA: Show Time has decided to commemorate this legendary championship with a twentieth anniversary platinum edition.
Richards revealed this stunning championship belt:
Richards: "This beautiful platinum and ruby championship will be presented to the winner of a one-night tournament, which will be held at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC, on Friday, December 23. This will be a one-night, single elimination tournament that features the twelve men who have held heavyweight singles championships since the inception of NWA: Show Time. The brackets for the tournament will be posted on your television screens at the end of the broadcast today. Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow, and we fully expect over 25,000 to be on hand! This will be an unprecedented event that will honor a championship that this area came to know as its own."
Regal: "That is a glorious trophy, to be won by one of twelve men! What a tournament this will be!"
Hayes: "That is one of the most recognized titles in wrestling history! The man who wins that will have a priceless piece to add to his trophy collection!"
Regal: "Fans, it's now time for our Tag Team Championship main event! Let's go back to the ring!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ No Disqualification ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas & "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice vs. "The Revival"--Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson
This was one of the finest televised tag team matches we've seen. both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at one another. The 'no disqualification' stipulation only made the match more violent. They battled throughout the arena at various points. By the end, both Wilder and Dawson were bloody messes. Justice had been lacerated as well. Judas and Justice were poised for victory after "El Crucifejo" on Wilder, but Dawson broke up the pin attempt. Judas ended up being dumped to the outside, while Justice was struck in the head with a steel chair. He wobbled around and walked right into "Shatter Machine." The referee's hand hit the mat for three just before Judas could break up the count.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Revival" by pinfall in 28:15
Regal: "'The Revival' did it! They've won the titles! What a fight! They backed up their talk with a huge victory!"
Hayes: "Their faces are soaked with blood, but they have gold around their waists! They took the best Judas and Justice had to offer, but they still prevailed!"
Regal: "Fans, we're out of time. Please join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
As promised, the platinum anniversary tournament brackets were aired at the conclusion of the episode.
