PRO WRESTLING CHAOS HEIR 2 THRONE 4/2016
Now some of you might have read that I got this DVD in the June’s Wrestle Crate, Now I’ve never seen this promotion before but I have heard of it as its based in Bristol England. So I will review the DVD and give my thoughts
HEIR TO THE THRONE LADDER MATCH (basically money in the bank match, winner gets title shot etc)
PANDA CUB VS CHUCK CYRUS VS IAN WILLIAMS VS EDDIE RYAN (FRIEND OF THE SITE ) VS GIDEON VS KILLBANE VS ALEX STEELE
So we have the opening match of the night and with that two commentators however the lighting isn’t great as you can only see the action in the ring. So to the action in the ring, start of with Ian WIllians pushing Killbane toward the rest of the competitors and running out of the ring as they beat up killbane, Killbane rolls out of the ring annoyed with Williams and throws him in the ring and he gets beat up by everyone, and the match separates and sadly you cant see what is happening at ringside as the main focus is on the ladder in the middle of the ring with no one in the ring. There are plenty of attempts to get to the top by many people in this match, and there are a few botches which is sometimes expected when you got a ladder. There was a good Superkick Party moment where Eddie Ryan superkicked everyone in this match however about five mins later he was hit by a sling shot ladder and took the full force on his face and was taken to the back and never seen again in this match. The end came when the local star of this promotion Alex Steele was near the top of the ladder and everyone else was on the floor, when this guy enters the ring push off Steele, climbs the ladder and takes the briefcase, the commentators announce that this is Flash Morgan Webster, and as he had the briefcase that he was the winner
Winner: FLASH MORGAN WEBSTER
Kinda puzzling finish to an average ladder match 4/10
DND (DANNY DUGGAN & CIERAN DONNELLY) VS SX EXPRESS (SCOTTY ESSEX & PAUL ROBINSON)
This was certainly an interesting tag team encounter where DND was your usual standard heel team, and to be honest didn’t impress a great deal, however SX EXPRESS was a different matter, with the flamboyant Scotty Essex his impressive moves of flashy high risk moves compare with his partner who even though he was a lot smaller than Scotty was more of a crazed lunatic with elbows, fists, low blows and vicious kicks. The end came when Scotty kit Duggan with a superkick followed by a Robinson Tornado Kick, followed by a Scotty spinning slam followed by a Robinson shooting star press for the victory
WINNER: SX EXPRESS 6/10
MOUNTEVEN RULES MATCH
JACK GALLANGHER VS JOHNNY KID
For those who don’t know Jack Gallangher is part of this year Cruiserweight World Classic and Johnny Kid is an old school World of Sport wrestler from back in the late 80’s. Now Mounteven rules is basically old World of Sport rules where there are 5 x 5 min rounds where there are 2 falls to a finish.
Now if you are a fan of pure wrestling, where it just hold, counterhold and escape this is a pure wrestler dream, Gallangher is certain a throw back to those days it was a joy to watch the different moves and escapes from both wrestlers.
Fall 1 came in Round 2 where Gallangher pinned Kid with a sunset flip
Fall 2 came in Round 4 when Kidd Pinned Gallangher with a backside pin
Fall 3 came in Round 5 when Gallangher pinned Kid with a bridging pin
A great contest with amazing sportsmanship – 8/10
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
MIKE BIRD VS EL LIGERO
So it the Brawler vs the High flyer in a falls count anywhere match, now the trouble with this match is that when the action takes place outside of the ring, the camera man has trouble catching up with the action and keeping it in focus, which takes a little away from the match itself. Now the wrestlers found not 1 but 2 boxing rings which was put to good use, as well as soccer balls, climbing rope as well as chairs, plus a decent dive from El Ligero from a lightning platform. There was a moment of duelling chairs in the middle of the ring, and when both wrestler got bored of hitting chair against chair started to hit each other with fists, however the ref tried to get in the middle of them but both wrestlers grabs him and put him thought a chair that was place in the corner turnbuckle. Now long after that a piledriver by Bird on El ligero brought out another ref, however the count was only 2, but Bird was annoyed and piledrove that ref knocking him out. The action continued back and forth with a lot of chair action and the end came with a top rope superplex by Ligero on Bird thought 6 chair that was placed in the normal upright position
Winner: El Ligero – 7/10
ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
ROH WORLD CHAMP JAY LETHAL VS MARK ANDREWS
Amazingly enough this is a current ROH star facing a current TNA star for the ROH world Title on English soil. This match started out with a bit of fun having a strut off, trust me Mark Andrews should be banned from doing a Ric Flair Strut, became more serious as the match went along, plenty of elbows, kicks , as both competitors have similar styles, but the experience of Lethal was the big difference. This was a good match which had plenty of time to showcase both guys, however Lethal came out on top with a superkick followed by a lethal injection for the 1.2.3.
WINNER: Jay Lethal rating 7/10
TNA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
TNA WORLD CHAMP DREW GALLOWAY VS EDDIE DENNIS
This was a solid match, with the majority of the match in Drew’s hand, and some nice spots from Eddie, however this match was missing something, its hard to know what it was missing, maybe some heat or passion but you felt that you wanted more from this match. Drew retained the title with an future shock ddt
WINNER: Drew Galloway rating 6/10
KING OF CHAOS CHAMPIONSHIP TABLES MATCH
WILD BOAR (CHAMPION) VS JECKEL (W/PARAH KHAN OWNER OF PRO WRESTLING CHAOS)
This was an ok match it started quite quickly as Wild Boar was attacked by a really large wrestler, and it lasted quite a while, as Jeckel simply watched from inside the ring. This continued until Wild Boar speared this wrestler though a table. The match continued with not a great deal of action with both wrestler trying to put the other though a table and stalling and failing, you could tell that the match wasn’t being enjoyed by the fans. There was one spot where both wrestlers were on the top of the ropes, and everyone could see what was going to happen, and everyone was right as both fell through a table at the same time. The match was called a draw, so as Jeckel was leaving, Boar got on the mic and said he wants to continue, dived outside the ring onto Jeckel, delivered a package piledriver put him on a table climbed top rope, frog splash end of match.
Basically the match was plodding along until the last couple of minutes, after the match Boar got hold of Khan and delivered a package piledriver on the owner
Winner:wild boat rating 5/10
Overall it was a decent introduction into Pro wrestling Chaos, considering you had two world championship matches from TNA and ROH, you had a money in the bank ladder match, a table match and a classic pure wrestling this was a pretty loaded show, and for certain worth another look
