William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is the legend himself, Michael Hayes! Michael, this program is one year old today! This marks our fifty-second consecutive broadcast!"
Michael Hayes: "You got that right, daddy! We are a year old and on fire! There is no hotter wrestling program in the world than what we offer on a weekly basis!"
Regal: "Indeed! To commemorate this landmark episode, we will air a video retrospective at the end of our broadcast, chronicling our extraordinary first year in business! CEO Jordan Richards also has promised what he calls a "blockbuster" today. He has not divulged any details, so we don't know if this will be a match, an announcement, or what! Sufficed to say, you fans will want to stay glued to your television screens tonight! Fans, let's go to the ring for our first match!"
Match One ~ Number One Contender's (Television Championship) "Fatal Four-Way" ~ Dean Ambrose vs. Jay Lethal with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt & Barbi Hayden vs. Miroslav Barnyashev with Lana vs. "Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle
What a match! This was a tremendous way to begin the one year anniversary program. All four men brought a unique style to the match. It was pure bedlam throughout. More often than not, every man was in the ring--or outside of it--waging war. The finishing sequence was a whirlwind of offense. Angle hit the "Olympic Slam" on Lethal. Barnyashev hit his "Thrust Kick" to the jaw of Angle. Ambrose hit "Dirty Deeds" on Barnyashev and knocked Angle to the floor. Lethal recovered and threw Ambrose out of the ring. He then turned and hit the "Lethal Injection" on Barnyashev for the win.
Winner = Jay Lethal by pinfall in 18:02
Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties" celebrated with Lethal in the ring. Ricochet (Television Champion), appeared at the ringside entrance and clapped his hands for Lethal. He mouthed the words, "You're next" to Lethal, then walked away.
Regal: "What a tremendous match we just saw!"
Hayes: "Lethal and Ricochet are going to have one heck of a match for the Television Title!"
Regal: "We'll have more fantastic action when we return!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back! We understand that Commissioner Scott Hall signed this next match as an exhibition of the skill set of 'The bullet Club's' newest signee, Adrian Neville. let's go to the ring."
Match Two ~ "The Man That Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville With Commissioner Scott Hall, the McMahon family, "Under Boss" Bad Luck Fale, & Yellow Barbie vs. Jesse White (trainee) {Referee Summer Rae}
This was a mismatch from the opening bell. White is still learning his craft, while Neville is a world traveled superstar. White is the larger and stronger of the two. He is, after all, the son of Big Van Vader. White managed a couple of offensive flurries, but they were dashed quickly by Neville. After a couple of minutes into the action, Commissioner Hall told Neville to "take it home." He slammed White and went straight to the top rope, performing the breathtaking "Red Arrow" for the finish.
Winner = Adrian Neville by pinfall in 4:11
After the match, the McMahon family entered the ring. Vince had a microphone.
Vince McMahon: "This was just another example of the kind of talent we have here in 'The Bullet Club!' Every member of this group is a world class caliber athlete! Simply put, the absolute best in the world are part of 'The Bullet Club!' Do you honestly think Vincent Kennedy McMahon would have it any other way?! We are an unstoppable force! You have my family, which built an empire! You have Commissioner Scott Hall, who has unlimited influence in the sport! You have a collection of talent unlike any other on the planet! We have a conglomerate from basically every territory representing us! I am standing here right now, in this very ring, on the one year anniversary of this program, proclaiming that there is NO ONE on earth who can do anything to stop us!"
Just then, CEO Jordan Richards appeared on the jumbo-tron.
Jordan Richards: "Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie! Shut your pie hole, grandpa! No one in this or any other audience wants to hear you drone on and on! Now, let me address the fans and you for just a moment. You keep saying that there is no one who can stop you. I believe otherwise. In fact, I have someone here who has signed with me to do just that."
McMahon: "You think one signee is going to turn the tide in your favor?! I've already told you! I have the best in the world backing me up!"
Richards: "Best in the world, huh? Well, I think my newest acquisition would beg to differ..."
Just then, this entrance music hit:
Charlotte, North Carolina lost its mind.
Regal and Hayes in unison: "Oh, my God!"
The look on Vince McMahon's face was priceless.
After the video played for fifteen seconds or so, this familiar face came walking out to raucous applause:
Soon after, she was joined by her husband,
who was wearing a replica of the championship he held for over one year. A huge "CM Punk!" chant started in the crowd and swelled throughout the arena. No one in the ring moved a muscle. Punk casually walked into the ring and raised his championship belt as AJ skipped back and forth around ringside.
Punk jerked the microphone from Vince's hands.
CM Punk: "What's the matter, Vince? You look like you've seen a ghost! You're probably wondering why I'm out here with this old piece of scrap metal (referring to the belt)! Well, I just wanted to remind you who the longest-reigning champion in the modern era of your company was! Me! You keep talking about your guys being the best?! Ha! I have made my living being the best in the world! I carried your worldwide brand on my back for over one year as champion! What did I get in return? Did I main event pay-per-views?! No! Did I main event 'WrestleMania?!' No! Did I receive any treatment deserving of a World Champion?! No! I was treated like a common slave, worked and worked until my body was beaten down to nothing! And, I still won matches, night in and night out, three hundred days a year on the road! I still showed up every Monday night on TV to pop ratings! I still showed up for special appearances to 'be an ambassador for the company,' when, in reality, I was being sent to do all the crap you, Steph, and her doofus husband didn't want to do! All I ever got for my trouble was grief! I was held back, even as your World Champion! You never saw anything in me, even when my merchandise was flying off the shelves and every quarter-hour rating segment I was in was the biggest of the night! When I left your company, it all went downhill! Not to mention how you overworked and undervalued my wife, Stephanie! AJ Lee was easily the hottest female talent on the planet and you saddled her with terrible opponents and put her into no-win situations! She was the most popular female wrestler of the last twenty years, and you treated her like a piece of meat, bouncing her around with superstar after superstar, making her look insane and incompetent! You put her in the ring with your 'Total Divas' and expected her to carry the load every night! She left because you burnt her out! We both did! We rejoiced when we thought the federal government got rid of you. But, you've returned from the ashes of your own demise seeking to reclaim your throne! Not on my watch! Jordan Richards just signed me to a very lucrative deal on the promise that I help him make sure you never monopolize the sport of professional wrestling again! You started a war, Vince! You even fired the first shot! But, I can promise you that we are going to fire the last! This is one war that you will not win! We strike back, starting tonight!"
Punk then spat on the championship belt and tossed it at Vince. The crowd went bananas for the entire segment.
Jordan Richards appeared at the ring entrance.
Richards: "I told you I had a blockbuster. Here's one more. The main event tonight will see Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli, and Adam Cole take on 'The Richards Collective'--Brock Lesnar, The Rock, and CM Punk!"
Regal: "Holy Lord! I keep rubbing my eyes and pinching myself, thinking this all is a dream. Did we just see that?! Did we just see CM Punk and AJ Lee on an NWA: Show Time program?!"
Hayes: "Yes sir, we did! And, Punk unloaded another pipe bomb right on Vince McMahon's head! That was epic!"
Regal: "I don't even know where to go from here. We need to take a commercial break."
Regal: "Fans, we're back. You probably can hear that the crowd is still buzzing! (a "That was awesome!" chant was still going) We're still catching our breath in the commentary booth! Let's go to the ring for our main event!"
Match Three ~ "The Richards Collective"--"The Beast" Brock Lesnar, The Rock, & CM Punk with CEO Jordan Richards, AJ Lee, and Eve Torres vs. "The Bullet Club"--Kevin Steen (Heavyweight Champion), Claudio Castagnoli (Mid-Atlantic Champion), & Adam Cole with Commissioner Scott Hall, the McMahon family, "Under Boss" Bad Luck Fale, Maria Kanellis, and Yellow Barbie {Referee Summer Rae}
This was only a match in name. It was a train wreck otherwise. Bodies were strewn from the ring to the crowd. At one point, AJ kicked Maria in the face and applied the "Black Widow," while Eve choked Yellow Barbie out with a "Rear Naked Choke." Lee then nailed both Commissioner Hall and Triple H with stereo low blows. She chased Stephanie McMahon out through the crowd. The referee eventually disqualified both teams.
Winners = Double disqualification in 8:36
Afterward, Steen was caught by himself in the ring with "The Richards Collective." The Rock hit a "Rock Bottom." Lesnar scooped Steen up and nailed an "F-5." Punk picked Steen up, smiled, then hoisted him onto his shoulders. He paused once again and yelled, "It's clobberin' time!," before unleashing a "GTS" that left Steen laying in a crumpled heap. The Rock counted the mock pinfall as Lesnar beckoned "The Bullet Club" back into the ring. The crowd was ecstatic.
Punk, Brock, and Rock all scaled the ropes and stood tall, waving "BC" back into the ring. They dragged Steen out and retreated. Punk screamed at McMahon and Triple H.
Regal: "This has been a phenomenal episode! I don't think we've ever seen a debut quite like CM Punk and AJ Lee here tonight! The crowd has been amped since the first guitar chord struck!"
Hayes: "Punk is an enigmatic superstar! He transverses the sport. Women like him. Men like him. Kids like him! He's got a big mouth and he's not afraid to use it! He's the 2010's version of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, except without the beer!"
Regal: "That is an astute comparison and spot on, if you ask me! Fans, we have to go. Please join us next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
The episode ended with the video montage from the first year of NWA: Show Time. A blip of CM Punk and AJ Lee's entrances was added at the tail end as well.
