William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. Alongside me is my colorful co-host, Michael Hayes! Michael, we've seen a chaotic past few weeks with 'The Bullet Club's' takeover attempt."
Michael Hayes: "You got that right, Jack! 'The Bullet Club' is the worst thing to hit wrestling in twenty years!"
Regal: "I concur. But, at least we saw some measure of redemption last week, with 'The Varsity Boys' regaining the Tag Team Championship!"
Hayes: "Now, THAT was a great moment!"
Just then, "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out "The Richards Collective," including World Champion Brock Lesnar, who was absent last week after the brutal beating he took at the hands of "Los Hell Brothers.'"
Jordan Richards: "Well, well, well. It feels dang good to be out here with some Show Time gold back in the camp! We proved our superiority over 'The Bullet Club' and Scott Hall won't be calling any shots! In this war against my creation, 'The Bullet Club
' may have struck the first blow, but NWA: Show Time will strike the last!"
"The Bullet Club" theme song blared to bring out that group, with former Commissioner Scott Hall en tow.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! We have a little business to take care of. Give us those title belts back!"
Richards: "That's funny. That sounded an awful lot like a demand from someone who no longer has any pull around here!"
Hall: "Actually, that's part of why I'm out here. You see, last week, we had a deal that, if your guys one just one of the three title matches with 'The Bullet Club,' I'd step down as Commissioner. Now, you're out here celebrating. Everybody in the building is cheering. But, the problem with all that is, your guys didn't win any matches last week."
Richards: "Ha! Yeah, right! The entire world saw my guys with their hands raised and the titles around their waists. The proof, Mr. Hall, is in the pudding."
Hall: "I agree. The proof is in the pudding. The proof I have is that the legal man in the match for the champions was not pinned. You see, the last recorded legal tag 'The Bullet Club' made was to Tama Tonga. However, it was Bad Luck Fale whose shoulders were counted for a pinfall, which is illegal. Since the legal man in the match did not factor into the finish, that finish is null and void. In other words, 'The Varsity Boys' are stripped of the Tag Team Championship and 'The Bullet Club' gets them back! That also means that none of your guys beat our guys for the belts, so I'm still Commissioner!"
Richards: "I knew that you wouldn't hold up your end of the bargain, Hall! I had a feeling you would weasel out of the stipulation, so I put a contingency into effect this week. You see, regardless of who the legal men in the match were, a pin did take place. So, the reigning champions lost a title defense. That leaves us with a little conundrum. I am not going to simply hand the championship back over to your guys, who suffered a loss in their last outing. If 'The Bullet Club' wants the Tag Team Championship back, they'll have to earn it. The only way for a team that has just lost is to thoroughly defeat their opposition."
Bad Luck Fale: "We can beat any team there is in this company, especially Cena and Orton!"
Richards: "Well, I'm glad that you said that, Fale. Because, for you to get these championships back, you will have to do just that--beat any team in NWA: Show Time! I have signed an eight-team 'Gauntlet' match for tonight, that will decide the championship! Now, this won't be any ordinary 'Gauntlet.' The teams competing against you will be drawn at random. So, you'll know who you're facing when they come to the ring! To make sure you truly put your expertise on display, you will be the first team in the ring!"
Hall: "That's outrageous! First, you stick us in a 'Gauntlet' match, you make us be the first team out, then you refuse to tell us who our seven opponents are?! Talk about stacking the deck against us!"
Richards: "Well, I will divulge one of the teams you'll be taking on. It seems only fair that 'The Varsity Boys' get another crack at you, especially after they beat you down last week!"
Hall: "That figures! Jordan Richards is always gonna protect his own!"
Richards: "Oh, and by the way, boys, the 'Gauntlet' begins right now!"
"The Bullet Club" was livid.
Regal: "Oh my!"
Hayes: "Ha ha! 'The Bullet Club' is gonna have to earn it! Come on, daddy! Let's get it on!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Bullet Club"--Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga with Commissioner Scott Hall & Yellow Barbie vs. "The Varsity Boys"--John Cena & "The Viper" Randy Orton with Maria Kanellis & Eve Torres vs. six other teams to be drawn at random
Fale and Tonga were still barking before their first opponents were revealed. The place went bananas when the theme for "The Realest Guys in the Room" hit. Carmella led Amore & Cassady out to the ring. They went straight after Fale and Tonga. The unique tandem offense of Enzo and "Big Cass" overwhelmed Fale and Tonga. It look, for several minutes, as if "BC" wouldn't make it out of the "Gauntlet's" first leg. Some timely interference by Scott Hall, while the referee's back was turned, spelled the end of the fall. He pushed Amore off the top rope, allowing Tonga to score a quick pin.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg one = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 7:17
Out next was "C & C Wrestle Factory," led by Veda Scott. This leg ended more quickly than the first, as Fale attacked Alexander outside the ring and injured his leg. This proved to be all "BC" needed, as they worked Cedric over for a few minutes before Fale hit a "Leg Drop" from the top onto the injured knee. He covered a crumpled Alexander for the pin.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg two = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 4:23
"All Night Xpress" came running to the ring. They were met with a beat down, courtesy of "The Bullet Club," before they entered the ring. Titus and King were easy pickings from there. Tonga unleashed a "Veleno" on King for the pin.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg three = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 2:09
"Lethal Consequences" was the next lucky entrant. Lethal and Woods are both technical masters. They showed their wares against "BC" and proved that they belonged in the match. Jay nailed the "Lethal Injection" on Tonga, but the referee was trying to break up Woods and Fale, who were battling on the outside. As Lethal screamed for someone to count, he was struck by a steel chair blast from Scott Hall, who then rolled Tonga on top of him. The referee turned around to see the pin attempt and counted the fall.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg four = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 8:33
Jordan Richards came out at that point and banned Hall from ringside, as he had been directly involved in two falls. Hall was escorted to the dressing room by Security.
Former champions "The Kingdom" came to the ring with manager Kasey Ray, as fatigue was setting in on Fale and Tonga. Bennett and Taven looked every bit the part of the team which dominated the tag team division for several months in 2015. They worked "BC" over for several minutes, softening them up for the kill. They hit "Hail Mary" on Tonga and went for the pin, but Yellow Barbie jumped on the apron and distracted Bennett by dancing provocatively. Kasey Ray ran over and pulled Yellow Barbie off the apron. The two engaged in a catfight that had the crowd on its feet. Fale snuck up on Bennett and hit the "Bad Luck Fall." Fale rolled Tonga over onto Bennett and dumped Taven out of the ring. The referee turned around to see the pin.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg five = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 5:10
La Mascara and BUSHI from "Los Ingobernables" ran to the ring. Both teams are familiar with each other from their time in Japan. The luchadors flew around the ring in a manner that Fale and Tonga simply could not keep up with. Alas, it wasn't enough. Mascara scaled the top and attempted a "Flying Body Press," but was caught by Fale. Fale turned it into a vicious "Belly-to-Belly Suplex" for the pin.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg six = "The Bullet Club" in 6:46
"The Varsity Boys" were given the last leg of the "Gauntlet" by Richards. This normally would be looked at with chagrin. However, given the nefarious actions of "The Bullet Club," it was overlooked for the sake of the greater good. Fale and Tonga used every last second of their sixty-second rest period. Once the bell rang, Cena and Orton mauled them. There were times when it looked as if Orton and Cena were merely toying with the exhausted Fale and Tonga. "BC" was sunk for most of the match. They did manage a burst at the end, however, and were in position to win. Tonga and Cena were perched precariously on the top rope. Tonga knocked Cena to the mat, then executed a "Superfly Leap," crashing violently into Cena. John kicked out at 2.99. Tonga couldn't believe it. He went ballistic and began screaming in a primal fashion. He charged at Cena, who ducked, sending Tonga careening into the corner face first. Cena inched over to Orton and made the tag. Orton came in as a house of fire, cleaning the clocks of both Tonga and Fale. Orton hit the "Draping DDT" on Tonga, but Fale broke up the pin. All four men entered the ring and a melee commenced. In the midst of it, the referee (Nick Patrick) was sent flying after a huge shove from Cena. Cena "Clotheslined" Fale over the top rope, leaving Tonga in the ring with Orton and Cena. Cena hit the "Attitude Adjustment," then picked Tonga up and flung him into an awaiting Orton, who leveled him with an "RKO." Referee Justin King ran down and made the count, as Patrick was still trying to cover.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg seven and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Varsity Boys" by pinfall in a total match time of 44:19
As Cena and Orton celebrated with the title belts, Patrick conferred with King, then reversed the decision as a result of the shove by Cena. "The Varsity Boys" were disqualified, giving the final leg to "BC" along with the championship.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Bullet Club" via disqualification on the final leg in a total match time of 44:19
Jordan Richards came to the ring with a microphone.
Richards; "I hate to break up your celebration, gentlemen. You see, I need to apologize to you. I misspoke earlier when I said that there were eight teams in the "Gauntlet." I went back and looked at my booking sheet and realized that there are nine!"
The "Sons of Steel" ran to the ring and began brawling with "The Bullet Club." The referee rang the bell to continue the match. "SoS" sent Fale and Tonga crashing into each other, which threw Tonga for a loop. They executed the "Steel Curtain" on Fale and made the cover before Tonga got his bearings back.
Winners of "Gauntlet" leg eight and NEW NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "Sons of Steel" by pinfall in a total match time of 46:38
Regal: "What a shocker! The inaugural champions have regained their crown!"
Hayes: "The local boys done made good again!"
Scott Hall and the rest of "The Bullet Club" raged as the locker room emptied and congratulated the new champions in a true show of solidarity.
Regal: "This is a true 'feel good' moment!"
Hayes: "Yes sir, and we're gonna party tonight!"
Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we're out of time! Please join us over on TNT this Thursday for Femme Fatales and back here on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Michael Hayes, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
Hayes: "Ta ta. That kills me every time!"
