William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my ravishing co-host, Renee Young. Renee, we're gearing up for Clash of the Champions on March 26 and we have a huge double main event today that could have direct implications on that event!"
Renee Young: "That's right! As we all know, Jordan Richards and Ric Flair have gotten together to sign a colossal match for the Clash. 'The Richards Collective' will take on 'Los Hell Brothers' in a two-ring 'War Games' battle! But, tonight, Flair and Richards have also signed a couple of big matches on our program. First, 'The Varsity Boys' will take on Chessman and Averno. Then, The Rock will take on Cibernetico! It's going to be a phenomenal hour!"
Regal: "Indeed! It will get underway shortly. But first, 'So Cal' Val is standing by with our newest signee, Idol Stevens! Valerie?"
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with Idol Stevens, NWA: Show Time's newest signee. Idol, it's great to have you aboard!"
Idol Stevens: "It's great to be back on television, to entertain the masses. I've missed them all!"
Wyndham: "What are your long-term goals for your time here?"
Stevens: "To be a champion, of course. I want the sweet taste of gold. I will treat NWA: Show Time like every other promotion I have been a part of. I will climb the ladder of success with a steady gait."
Wyndham: "When can we expect to see you in action?"
Stevens: "Sooner than you think, I'd wager. Thank you, Valerie."
Regal: "It's always exciting to see someone new come into the company, especially the caliber of an Idol Stevens. He is vastly underrated as a talent. I hope he gets the opportunity to show the world what I already know about him. He's a master technician with a silver tongue!"
Young: "Yes! I hope Idol gets the chance to shine!"
Regal: "Let's go to the ring for our first match-up, which is for the Mid-Atlantic Championship, and involves the dreaded 'Bullet Club' challenging 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas."
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship ~ "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Judas dominated the bulk of the match, when he wasn't fending off attempted interference from "The Bullet Club" on Castagnoli's behalf. As the action continued to break down, and more members of the rogue group surfaced at ringside, things began to look dire for Judas. He fought valiantly against all odds, as the numbers game became too much to handle. Still, Judas had his opportunity to win, as he launched Castagnoli across the ring with "El Crucifejo." The referee was struck as Castagnoli's crashed into him when Judas hoisted him up, so he could not make the count. "BC" wnet after Judas in the ring. "Ticking Time Bomb" Jason Justice came to ringside and attempted to even the score, but was quickly taken out. Finally, newcomer Idol Stevens ran to the ring with a steel chair and "BC" scattered. He then turned around and waffled Judas in the head with the chair. Kevin Steen followed up with a "Package Piledriver." Castagnoli was dragged on top of Judas and the referee revived for the count. Judas kicked out just after the referee's hand struck the canvas for the third time.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion = Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall in 9:22
After the match, Stevens ripped off his jacket to reveal:
Castagnoli and company turned their attention back to Judas. Justice tried to intervene once again. He was joined, surprisingly so, by "The Richards Collective," which cleaned house to a roar from the crowd. Jordan Richards came to ringside with a microphone.
Jordan Richards: "This has gone just about far enough, punks! You have come in and tried to take over MY company! I built this thing from the ground up! I signed you guys to contracts in good faith and you double-crossed me! Now, you're stealing my talent and my championships! The line is now being drawn in the sand! This is an all-out war! My guys hate Mikael Judas and they hate Jason Justice. But, I believe we can set aside our mutual disdain for one another since we now have a common enemy. You are trying to destroy what we all have built into a juggernaut. This thing is my 'baby!' And, I'll be danged if you do anything to mess with my baby! You declared war and even fired the first shots, 'Bullet Club!' Well, I can promise you this--WE (points to "The Richards Collective," as well as Judas and Justice) will fire the last shot!"
Richards threw the microphone down and extended a hand to Judas and Justice, both of whom shook it very cautiously.
Regal: "Oh my Lord! Idol Stevens debuts with 'The Bullet Club' and helps cost Mikael Judas the Mid-Atlantic Championship, then he and the entire group gets run off by sworn enemies of one another! That was a showdown, if I've ever seen one!"
Young: "Goodness gracious! I've never seen Jordan Richards so intense! That gave me goose bumps. I can't believe we just saw Jordan shaking hands with Judas and Justice, mortal enemies of his own group."
Regal: "Renee, having lived through the 'nWo' debacle in the 90's, I can tell you that the entire roster banding together is the only thing that will stop 'The Bullet Club.' Bravo! We'll be back with our double main event after the break!"
Regal: "Fans, we're back and it's time for our tag team feature!"
Match Two ~ "The Varsity Boys"--John Cena & "The Viper" Randy Orton with Maria Kanellis vs. "Los Hell Brothers"--Chessman & Averno
This was a fight from the opening bell. There was no "catch-as-catch-can" science. There was no chain wrestling. This was a brawl. Cnea and Orton were rabid, as "LHB" cost them a chance to regain the Tag Team Championship last week. In this precursor to "War Games," all four men were out to do bodily harm to their opponents. The former NWA World Tag Team Champions proved they are a force to be reckoned with, but Cena and Orton were too good this time out. Cena leveled Averno with an "Attitude Adjustment" that bounced him into a standing position and straight into a thunderous "RKO" from Orton.
Winners = "The Varsity Boys" by pinfall in 13:40
Regal: "What a match and what a finish!"
Young: "William, you took the words right out of my mouth! That was a battle!"
Regal: "Before we go to the final match of the hour, let's see what our 'woman on the beat' has to say."
Laura Cruz: "Hello! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here once again with all the latest news from NWA: Show Time and the NWA at large. As you know, we're only three weeks away from Clash of the Champions. The inter-promotional 'War Games' match has the main event set. I have it on good authority that every other match will be for a World Championship, which should give us some instant classics. I can't wait for March 26th to arrive! I heard Jordan Richards in the hallway telling someone that he has a major announcement that will change the face of the NWA in the coming weeks! Stay tuned for that. I'm going to do some digging and see if I can crack the case. That's all for now, fans! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop!"
Regal: "Interesting information indeed. An announcement that will change the face of the NWA. I can't wait to hear that!"
Young: "That announcement literally could be anything! Wow! I'm on pins and needles, now!"
Regal: "After the commercial break, we'll have our final match-up of the hour!"
Regal: "Here we go!"
Match Three ~ The Rock with Maria Kanellis vs. NWA: Wild West Heavyweight Champion Cibernetico
This was another war. The bad blood between these two factions is evident every time they get anywhere near each other. These were two heavyweight prize fighters taking "home run" swings at each other. The Rock pulled out all of his signature offense. Cibernetico was up to the task himself. It was a stalemate for most of the bout. The Rock hit the "Rock Bottom" for a near fall. He went to follow up with the "People's Elbow," but Cibernetico evaded it. Cibernetico hit "Apocaliptica" for a 2.5 count. The end was marred with controversy, as most "LHB" matches are. As The Rock was going to lift up a doubled over Cibernetico, he was struck in the temple and knocked unconscious for the pin.
Winner = Cibernetico by pinfall in 15:18
Cibernetico revealed a chain wrapped around his right hand after the bell. He quickly slipped it into his tights before the referee detected it.
Regal: "Well, Cibernetico stole one! The momentum is back in the camp of 'Los Hell Brothers," as we head toward the collision course at Clash of the Champions."
Young: "From what we've seen of the entire 'Los Hell Brothers' stable, underhanded tactics are the norm."
Chessman, Averno, and Texano, Jr. joined Cibernetico as they jumped The Rock. Texano grabbed Maria by the hair, which brought out "The Richards Collective" and a brawl ensued.
Regal: "Fans, this has broken down into a gang war! And, we're out of time! Please join us this Thursday for Show Time Femme Fatales on TNT, and right back here on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
