Ok this is something that has been eating at me for a while, but I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, well after reading something last night (which I'll get to pretty soon) that changes now. (I'm going into rant mode here, because this has really pissed me off)
Are Vince McMahon & Kevin Dunn trying to destroy their own future?
Of the talents that have been brought up from NXT: The Shield, The Wyatt Family, Emma, Paige, Big E, Bo Dallas, Xavier Woods, Rusev, Summer Rae, Adam Rose & The Ascension. Only 5 were allowed to keep their gimmick
Shield - Not they're original gimmicks, but managed to get over
Wyatts - Kept their gimmick & were incredibly over until they broke Harper & Rowan away from Bray. Wyatt still is the other 2 have seemingly faded into obscurity when they could be another team to your dying tag team division
Big E - Never allowed to use his 5 count gimmick which was very over during his NXT days
Emma - Treated as nothing more than a dancing ditz, put with Santino as soon as she came in labeling her a joke character, hasn't been allowed to cut a promo or show that she's a great wrestler (She was trained in Lance Storm's school, let her wrestle)
Xavier - Came in was feuding with Brodus over Clay's music, treated as enhancement talent, never allowed to display his intelligence, the man has a legit PHD
Bo - Was over with the fans, they were even finishing hi Bo-Lieve phrase until they had Truth end his undefeated streak. Why? Because Vince didn't like Dallas gimmick (listens to the fans, my ass)
Paige - they didn't let her come in as the anti-diva, because that would put a bad light on what Vince wants his female wrestlers to be
Summer - Instead of coming in as a leader, she's brought in as Fandango's dancer, that's dropped when she filmed a movie, feuds with her replacement Layla then joins forces with her, barely seen since
Rose - More or less kept his gimmick, but treated as a complete joke
Rusev & Lana - Over even though they were given the dead as dirt, evil foreigners gimmick
Ascension - Weren't allowed to just be the destroyers, no they had to dress them in Road Warrior gear, give them Road Warrior face paint, have the Ascension compare themselves to Demolition & Road Warriors, were then buried by all the commentators including JBL the heel
Cesaro - They say he doesn't connect, yet in NXT puts on Match of the Year candidates. Newsflash Cesaro WAS over, the fans were ready for him to be a top face at WM XXX & what do they do? They turn him heel, didn't make sense then & it doesn't now. So if he's not over that's your fault for turning a face heel for no reason
That brings me to the last straw: Adrian Neville is the next guy they want to bring up, which you think would make a lot of sense, yeah about that. The 'geniuses' (I use that term loosely & sarcastically) want to give him a gimmick based on Mighty Mouse complete with costume & mask. So let me get this straight, you want to take one of the top high flyers on the planet give him a fucking Mighty Mouse gimmick? You may as well bury him under a 1,000 feet of dirt, because that's what your doing.
It's getting to the point I don't know if I want guys like Owens, Zayn, Itami, Balor and the like on the main roster, because I seriously have my doubts whether Vince would or could use them the way they should be. You know Triple H has to be pissed, NXT is his baby and these guys and gals that he's grooming to be the future of the company are basically being cannibalized by Vince & Dunn. No, I think its better to stay in NXT under Triple H, Dusty and their wrestling roster then go to the main roster & be castrated of your dignity by Vince.
