William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. Alongside me is my co-host and partner in crime, Renee Young! Renee, we have a brand new NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion!"
Renee Young: "That's right! If you were not in Panama City, Florida last week, you missed a tremendous two-night event! Each man fought like mad for that championship. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared, an ominous figure stood tall as the first ever Mid-Atlantic Champion for NWA: Show Time!"
Regal: "We will have tournament highlights throughout the broadcast, and we will reveal the new champion before the program concludes! But first, let's go to the ring for our first match-up!"
Match One ~ "Life of the Party"--Colt Cabana & Dalton Castle vs. "The Bullet Club"--Tama Tonga & Mephisto
This match was over before it began. "BC" attacked before the bell and obliterated the fun-loving combination of Castle & Cabana. Tonga nailed the "Headshrinker" on Castle for the pin.
Winners = "The Bullet Club" by pinfall in 2:19
Bad Luck Fale grabbed a microphone.
Bad Luck Fale: "We are here! We are 'The Bullet Club!' We take no prisoners. We just take over! Our numbers may be small today, but that will change very quickly. Our financial backer has agreed to handsomely reward anyone who joins us. The invitation is open. Choose wisely. Remember, if you're not with us, you're against us! You don't want to be standing on the tracks when the train comes through. Get on board! It's reeeaalll!"
Regal: "'The Bullet Club' means business and look to add to their ranks, it would seem."
Young: "I'm interested to know who this 'financial backer' is."
Regal: "Indeed. Fans, we're going to take you back to this past Wednesday for some first round highlights of the Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament."
A video package aired showing clips of the first round of the Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament. First round winners included:
The Rock, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, Kevin Steen, and Mikael Judas.
Regal: "Fans, it was a magnificent night of wrestling last Wednesday! All of our first round winners advanced to the second night of the tournament, which took place this past Saturday. We'll show you those highlights a little later in the program. Right now, let's take you to our woman on the scene, Laura Cruz!"
Laura Cruz: "I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here with all the latest news from NWA: Show Time. I was speaking with Lead Commentator for Show Time Femme Fatales, Madusa Miceli. She has promised that a blockbuster announcement is coming concerning the iPPV on January 30. Coincidentally enough, I am hearing that Scott Hall and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts have a similar blockbuster announcement on today's episode. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm confident that this event might be the biggest one yet for NWA: Show Time! That's all the time I have for now. I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop!"
Regal: "Very interesting bit of info, Laura. Now, I'm very intrigued for what Commissioners Hall and Roberts have for us. They are scheduled for an interview later. We have to take a break. When we return, we'll have more action in the ring!"
Regal: "We're back and ready to go. Take it away, Scarlett!"
Match Two ~ D-Von with Bully Ray, Knox, and Black Widow vs. La Sombra with "King of Darkness" EVIL
This bout was surprisingly good. La Sombra kept the pace quick with his Lucha style, while D-Von kept La Sombra off balance with his grueling ground and pound delivery. In the end, Black Widow interfered after D-Von hit the "Testify" on La Sombra and seemingly had the match won.
Winner = La Sombra by disqualification in 8:12
Bully Ray, Knox, and D-Von were flabbergasted at this unexpected turn of events and began to berate Black Widow. She did not respond, except to pull a black t-shirt out of her jacket and throw it at Bully. When he unfolded it, he and his "Aces High" club mates were shocked:
Black Widow then gave the "too sweet" hand signal and walked away.
Regal: "Did I see what I think I just saw?! Did Black Widow just join 'The Bullet Club?!'"
Young: "Wow! They said they were looking for new members. I guess Black Widow is the first one to take them up on their offer!"
Regal: "I am stunned! Fans, we'll take a break and come back with more tournament highlights. Stay with us!"
Regal: "We're back from commercial. As promised, here are the quarterfinal and semi-final highlights from the Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament."
A video package aired highlighting the quarter-final round of the tournament, with winners including:
The Rock, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, and Mikael Judas. Then the semi-final highlights were shown, as The Rock defeated Kurt Angle and Mikael Judas defeated Randy Orton.
Regal: "Fans, the final match was a hard-hitting affair that went all over the arena. We're going to show you that match in its entirety right now."
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament Final ~ The Rock with Maria Kanellis vs. "Priest of Punishment" Mikael Judas (taped on 1/23/2016)
The match began in the ring, but went to the floor very quickly. The two fought into the crowd. Senior Official Nick Patrick tried to contain the action, but also did not issue a ten-count, as the tourney victor would become champion and a double countout or disqualification would render no winner. So, he decided to exercise a bit of grace and leeway. Patrick was finally able to guide the two warriors back to the ring, where the action ramped up even more. The Rock became frustrated after his patented "Rock Bottom" failed to get the victory. Judas amazingly kicked out of the "People's Elbow" as well. Judas kept on coming. He regained the upper hand and Maria attempted some interference, but it was thwarted, as Judas caught her and "Hiptossed" her into The Rock. Judas then hit "El Crucifejo," launching The Rock clear across the ring. Judas scored the pin and became the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Champion, as the crowd howled.
Winner and NEW NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Champion = Mikael Judas by pinfall in 15:03
Regal: "That was a fantastic battle! Mikael Judas took down The Rock and won the gold!"
Young: "Judas predicted that 2016 would be his year. It looks like he is well on the way to making that prediction a reality!"
Regal: "Fans, he have to take one more break. When we come back, our Commissioners will have the floor."
Regal: "We're back. Standing by in the ring is 'So Cal' Val. Valerie, it's all yours!"
Valerie Wyndham: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake 'The Snake' Roberts!"
The original "nWo" music hit to a good ovation, bringing out the Commissioners, who were all smiles.
Wyndham: "Commissioner Hall, you requested this time to make an announcement. What would you like to say?"
Scott Hall: (after a long pause) "Hey, yo! Val, Jake and I have been thinking. We have this huge event in Miami, live on iPPV, with the NWA World Title being defended. How much better can it get than that? But, Jake and I started talking. The wheels started turning. We think we can make this event even bigger."
Wyndham: "I'm not sure what you can do to make a World Heavyweight Championship match even more important than it already is."
Hall: "Well, the last time Brock Lesnar and Goldberg met was at 'WrestleMania XX' in 2004. It was a 'big money' match for sure, but there was one particular element that pushed it over the top. There was a special enforcer working as referee that night. Well, it just so happens that the man who was the special referee that night works for NWA: Show Time currently."
Wyndham: "Are you saying what I think you're saying?!"
Hall: "Actually, I'm done talking. I'll let Jake tell you what you think we're saying."
Jake Roberts: "With a match of this magnitude, for the World Title, we need a referee who not only will call it down the middle, but who can control the action. Well, we can think on no one better to referee that match than this guy..."
The sound of glass breaking brought the fans to their feet. They nearly blew the roof off when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin came down the ramp.
Regal: "Oh my!"
Young: "Oh my is right!"
Steve Austin: "I got the conference call from Scott Hall and Jake Roberts a couple of days ago, so I came over from the 'Show Time Dojo' to try and reenact a little history. I reffed these two at 'Mania, so it makes sense that old 'Stone Cold' climb back in the ring for their rematch, twelve years in the making. I'll keep fair and square. But, if Lesnar or Goldberg pops out of line, I'll open up a can of 'whoop a--' on 'em. If you're ready to see 'Stone Cold' back in the ring, give me a h--- yeah! Miami is the place to be on January 30. Scottie, make sure my striped shirt is a double extra large, because I'm planning on laying down the law! And, that's the bottom line, because 'Stone Cold' said so!"
Regal: "Fans, this iPPV is going to be epic! You can't miss it!"
Young: "I'll be there. You'd better believe it!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out CEO "The Show" Jordan Richards, followed by Stacy Keibler, Eve Torres, Maria Kanellis, and 'The Richards Collective.'
Jordan Richards: "So, we're going to have a marquee match-up in a week's time. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will reprise his role as the special enforcer for the rematch the world has waited over a decade to see. Bravo Scott, Jake. Bravo. You are doing everything under the sun to stack the deck against Brock Lesnar. Well, it won't work. The 'ten pounds of gold' is secure around this waist. You guys don't get it, do you? Brock Lesnar is a beast. he is a machine. He is no mere mortal. He feeds on adversity. he thrives on competition. And, he lives to inflict pain. January 30 will be no different. Austin, just make sure you stay out of his way. Mr. Goldberg, you're as good as dead!"
Bill Goldberg's music hit to another huge reaction. He stood at the entrance ramp with a microphone.
Bill Goldberg: "Richards, you talk a big game for someone who's too scared to step into the ring. I'm as good as dead, huh? Well, from where I'm standing, I see things differently. I see me becoming the second man ever to win the WCW, WWE, and NWA World Titles in a career." (the first and only man to accomplish that feat is "Nature Boy" Ric Flair)
Richards: "Wishful thinking, Billy boy."
Goldberg: "Who are you calling 'boy?!' How about I rearrange that smile of yours, Jordan?!"
Richards: "Ha ha. Settle down, slugger! I'm happily retired. But, Brock Lesnar is chomping at the bit to get his retribution. Twelve years is a long time to wait. On Saturday, the waiting will be over."
Goldberg: "That's right! Then, I can finally get my hands on Brock one more time. Champ, you're next!"
Regal: "Fans, we're out of time! Please join us this Thursday for Show Time Femme Fatales on TNT and for our big iPPV event this Saturday in Miami, Florida! We'll be right back here on TBS next Tuesday for more of the Show Time Power Hour! The question is, will we be sporting a new World Champion by then? Time will tell. For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
