William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me, as always, is my lovely co-host Renee Young. Renee, we have a blockbuster episode on tap tonight!"
Renee Young: "Yes, we do! We will have both of our 'Fatal Four-Way' matches to complete the field for the Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament. In our main event, Brock Lesnar will make a rare television defense of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship! It's going to be huge!"
Regal: "The 'Fatal Four-Way' competitors were drawn at random by Commissioner Scott Hall, and we have not been given prior notification as to whom we will see in those matches. It will be interesting to know who has been picked. It could be anyone on the roster. Mr. Hall will announce the names himself! The anticipation is building, so, without further adieu, let's get the first contest going!"
Match One ~ "Fatal Four-Way" to determine a wildcard entrant into the NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship tournament ~ Bully Ray with Black Widow vs. Marco Corleone vs. Ryusuke Taguchi vs. "Southern Savior" Jon Skyler with Truth Martini and the "Hoopla Hotties"--Shotzi Blakkhartt & Barbi Hayden
This match was owned by Bully Ray, who took the fight to every other competitor without prejudice. Corleone was a star as well. His size and athletic prowess were on full display as he attempted to add to "Los Ingobernables'" numbers in the tournament. It was to no avail, as Ray hit the "Bully Bomb" on Taguchi after a distraction from Black Widow.
Winner = Bully Ray by pinfall in 12:12
Regal: "That was a fantastic match! The second 'Four-Way' will have to work hard to outdo that one!"
Young: "You could sense the urgency in each wrestler, knowing that the first fall taken wins the match and gets him into the tournament. Congratulations to Bully Ray!"
Regal: "Indeed! Fans, we'll be back in a moment!"
Regal: "We're back from the break. It's time for our second wildcard tournament qualifier! Scarlett, take it away!"
Match Two ~ "Fatal Four-Way" to determine a wildcard entrant into the NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship tournament ~ Shelton Benjamin vs. "Born Winner" Mike Madden vs. Goldust vs. Dalton Castle with "The Boys"
The second "Fatal Four-Way" delivered in spades. Shelton Benjamin was his normal lithe and graceful self. Mike Madden was a sleeper who really showed up. Goldust was his eccentric best. As was Castle, who came within an eyelash of winning the match after a "Bang-A-Rang" on Madden. Benjamin broke up the pin attempt with a "Springboard Frogsplash" that knocked Castle for a loop, allowing Shelton to pin a prone Madden.
Winner = Shelton Benjamin by pinfall in 16:33
Regal: "Benjamin has done it! He has become the second wildcard entry and the sixteenth entrant into the NWA: Show Time Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament!"
Young: "'Shelty B!' I knew you had it in you! Our first ever Television Champion has a chance to win a second Show Time title!"
Regal: "When we return, we'll speak with World Champion Brock Lesnar, who is preparing for a title defense later on!"
Regal: "Fans, 'So Cal' Val is outside Brock Lesnar's dressing room. Valerie, what's the word?"
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm trying to get a minute with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar. (Wyndham knocks on the dressing room door. Jordan Richards appears.)
Wyndham: "I was hoping to get a short interview with Mr. Lesnar before his title defense."
Jordan Richards: "Ah, young Valerie, Mr. Lesnar has decided that he is much too focused on the task at hand to answer questions concerning his impending match-up. I, on the other hand, am perfectly happy to give you some of my valuable time. Ask away, my dear!"
Wyndham: "Okay. Brock will be facing the current NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion and NWA: UHCW star Kota Ibushi. Kota is renowned as one of the best young stars in pro wrestling today. How will Brock counter his speed and aerial ability?"
Richards: "Kota Ibushi is THE finest young athlete in the world. I would love to have him on my roster, in fact. But, he is no Brock Lesnar. You see, Valerie, a great big man will always beat a great small man. Brock Lesnar is a freakishly good athlete himself. He has cat-like quickness, pinpoint reflexes, and the ability to work like a man half his size, yet displays the strength of someone twice his size. Now, Kota will certainly try to use his flying offense to keep Mr. Lesnar off balance. Therefore, Brock will lean on the youngster and ground him. When you clip a bird's wing. He won't do much flying, now will he?"
Wyndham: "Certainly not. Ibushi has beaten men larger than him on a regular basis. Are you at all worried that Brock is vulnerable or, perhaps, overlooking this challenge?"
Richards: "Brock Lesnar overlooks no one. He has an insatiable appetite for destruction. He salivates for competition, especially that of the highest level. Ibushi may be a giant killer, but Brock Lesnar is more than a simple giant. He is 'The Beast' incarnate. He operates on another level of humanity and blurs the lines between man and animal. He will tear through Kota Ibushi because that is what he knows. Brock Lesnar is impervious to pain. He laughs at that which makes mere mortals weep. Brock Lesnar has no deficiency, no vulnerability, no weakness. He will do what he does every single match--win and win big. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to."
Wyndham: "Thank you for your time. William, back to you."
Regal: "This match should be 'off the charts' good. Let's hear from our 'woman on the scene,' Laura Cruz!"
Laura Cruz: "Hello again! I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here with all the latest news and gossip! The NWA Board of Governors has just announced the opening of a new NWA member territory called NWA: Stars & Stripes. As you can tell by the name, this is a distinctively American company. In fact, every member of the roster is American born and all cards will taken place on American soil. Rumor has it that Stars & Stripes ownership is petitioning the NWA to revive the United States Championships that were once staples of the organization. We've seen the rebirth of the North American Championships, but it remains to be seen if the United States Titles will be re-introduced. Speaking of NWA Championships, our World Champions will all embark on a two-week tour of Asia in February. Eight dates over five countries: Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and South Korea will feature every NWA World Champion. More information will be forthcoming. That's all the time I have for today. I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop!"
Regal: " Fans, it's time for the World Heavyweight Championship match!"
Match Three ~ NWA World Heavyweight Championship ~ "The Beast" Brock Lesnar with Maria Kanellis vs. Kota Ibushi
Kota threw everything but the kitchen sink at Brock Lesnar. He hurt him on several occasions, but Brock kept charging ahead. Ibushi landed the "Phoenix Plex," but Lesnar kicked out at one. Lesnar hit three "Gernam Suplexes" in a row, but Ibushi kicked out. Brock locked in the "Kimura," but Kota fought his way to the ropes. Ibushi cinched in a "Fujiwara Armbar," but Brock turned it into a one-armed "Gernam Suplex" for a near fall. Ibushi scaled the ropes and leapt onto Brock, who caught him on his shoulders in mid-air and delivered a thunderous "F-5" for the win.
Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion = Brock Lesnar by pinfall in 20:55
After the match, Brock grabbed a microphone, surprisingly.
Brock Lesnar: "No man alive can beat me! I'm the best there is! No one will take this title from me...EVER!"
Regal: "Wow! Strong words from Brock Lesnar!"
Young: "And, a strong statement made in the ring!"
Regal: "We may be looking at a very long NWA World Championship reign! Fans, we're out of time. Join us again next Tuesday on TBS for more of the Show Time Power Hour! And, don't forget to tune into TNT this Thursday for Show Time Femme Fatales! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
