After his bullshit Penis twist move and the ensuing viral madness one thing has become clear...Everyone really does think Wrestling is retarted now. I don't get people like Joey Ryan who do these things just to get a pop and their name mentioned without ever stopping to think of their actions. Literally everyone is shitting all over this, non-wrestling fans are having a heyday with it while real wrestling fans are just shaking their heads. What's more, Jim Cornette bashes the angle and Joey Ryan flips out and calls him homophobic...Jim Cornette, homophobic LOL! The guy is one of the most open and honest dudes in the business and has never once said a bad thing about homosexuality or anything of the sort.
Sorry for the rant but I am beyond annoyed that now I have to defend the sport I love even more vehemently to people who now just flat out say how do you defend or watch this shit? Don't even get me started on the fact that some guy actually sold a penis hip toss, it's pathetic and it's things like this that have not only made Wrestling a joke in the eyes of most people but it's become a caricature of itself as well. Joey Ryan at one point had something that some people would consider talent, but when he couldn't make it anywhere outside of PWG he went and did what guys like Howard Stern did, tried to shock the world into liking him and guess what, it hasn't worked.
Now I know that some people will say that there has been way more stupid things in the history of Pro-Wrestling, DDT for example making people job to inflatable dolls. But the difference is that nobody paid attention to that, everyone is paying attention to this though. I've not seen one nice thing said about this angle, I've just seen it used as a way to bash Wrestling and it's fans. I think Joey Ryan has set Wrestling back tenfold by this crap, we were slowly gaining respect back amongst people. Guys like Dana White were openly talking about Pro-Wrestling and now...well now people are openly talking about how stupid Pro-Wrestling is again...
