William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the finest sixty minutes of pro wrestling in the world, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my co-host, Renee Young. Renee, we are two days out from 'Starrcade.' I am positively excited to see how that card unfolds! To commemorate that, we have all of the NWA World Champions here today! 'So Cal' Val has conducted sit-down interviews with each. We also have a huge main event match-up planned. Tell us about it, Renee!"
Renee Young: "William, we have a phenomenal team from NWA: Wild West, Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste, collectively known as 'The Mighty Don't Kneel,' who will take on NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions 'The Kingdom' with the titles on the line! That should be a stellar match!"
Regal: "Before we get to that match, let's take you to an interview conducted with NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion Kota Ibushi."
The scene cut to a pre-recorded (earlier in the day) interview conducted by "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham.
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here with NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion Kota Ibushi. Kota, you will be defending the championship against four other competitors at 'Starrcade 2K15' on Thanksgiving. The match itself will be a unique concept. The first man to record two falls will win the match. What are your thoughts on that dynamic?"
Kota Ibushi (through an interpreter): "There is always danger in a match where you can lose a title and never be beaten. This is what I face on Thursday. I am proud to be the Historic Middleweight Champion. I will continue to defend it with pride. I am confident in my game plan."
Wyndham: "Typically with this championship, title defenses are always 2-out-of-3 fall contests. How will your preparation for this match be different?"
Ibushi: "There has been a different thought process for this one. I still have to win two falls to keep the belt, but everything else will be different. In a normal title defense, I pace myself for a match that may last 20, 30, 40 minutes or more. With five men trying to win at the same time, I cannot afford to sit back. I must go full force once the bell rings."
Wyndham: "How have you adjusted to wrestling 2-out-of-3-fall matches basically every time you step foot in the ring?"
Ibushi: "Well, I certainly had to step up my cardio workouts. I can wrestle sixty minutes. I have done it. The difference between a one-fall and a three-fall match is big. Your mind thinks about three falls differently than one. You pace yourself, as I said, knowing that there will be at least two falls every time. It actually helps knowing that I can lose once and still win the match. The trick is not to rely on that as a bail out."
Wyndham: "Looking at your opponents for this match--Rey Mysterio, Myzteziz, Kyle O'Reilly, and Michael Fynne, who would you consider the biggest threat?"
Ibushi: "That is a tough question. Obviously, Rey Mysterio is a former World Heavyweight Champion, so he can beat anyone on earth. Myzteziz has wrestled around the world as well, so he is dangerous. Kyle O'Reilly is coming into his own right now. His submissions are deadly. Michael Fynne is the least known, but I have seen his wrestling. He can do it all. I have my work cut out for me. In my opinion, I have the hardest road to retaining my title at 'Starrcade.'"
Wyndham: "You certainly have a match full of quality opponents, but you are also one of the best wrestlers on earth. Good luck on Thursday, Kota!"
Ibushi: "Thank you! I will fly high!"
Regal: "Kota Ibushi is a phenomenal talent and a great champion. Fans, after the break, we'll go to the ring."
Match One ~ "Super Luchas"--Myzteziz & Volador, Jr. vs. "Los Ingobernables"--Tetsuya Naito & "King of Darkness" EVIL
Myzteziz and Volador dazzled early on with their acrobatic offense. However, it only lasted a few short minutes. This match barely got going when Marco Corleone, Rush, and La Mascara hit the ring for the beat down on Myzteziz and Volador.
Winners = "Super Luchas" by disqualification in 3:23
Since this feud kicked off, it has very quickly developed into a blood war. Myzteziz and Volador were left laying. For the second week in a row, Naito and company stood tall in the midst of their carnage.
Regal: "It's still a surreal experience to see Naito as a villain after years of being adored by the fans."
Young: "You took the words out of my mouth, William. The same could be said of Watanabe, or EVIL, as it were. 'Los Ingobernables' is making quite an impression in NWA: Show Time."
Regal: "Fans, let's hear from brand new NWA World Cruiserweight Champion ACH!"
The scene cut to a pre-recorded interview (earlier in the day) with "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham.
Wyndham: "I'm sitting with the new NWA World Cruiserweight Champion, ACH. First of all, congratulations!"
ACH: "Thank you, ma'am!"
Wyndham: "It would seem that you're going out of the frying pan and into the fire. You just won the championship from Mistico a couple of weeks ago. Now, you're set to defend it in a 'Ladder' match against four other competitors at the biggest event in wrestling history."
ACH: "It's a lot to handle, but that is the life of a World Champion. I wouldn't have it any other way."
Wyndham: "Mistico was the longest-reigning NWA World Cruiserweight Champion so far. I'm sure he will be anxiously awaiting the winner of this match. He's certainly due a rematch."
ACH: "Absolutely. I have a lot to live up to. Mistico set a strong precedent for this championship. My goal is to eclipse his reign and set a new standard. But, I have my work cut out for me at 'Starrcade.' Once I get past that match, Mistico will be next on the agenda."
Wyndham: "Let's talk about the 'Ladder' match for a moment. You will defend against Amazing Red, Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito, and Zack Sabre, Jr. This has the potential to be the match of the night. What are your thoughts on the fact that you will not be pinned or made to submit, but you still might walk out empty-handed?"
ACH: "That's the problem with multi-man matches. Anything can happen. I would be lying if I said I was totally comfortable with it. But, I get what the NWA is doing here. This is the biggest card in history. It's 16 matches in two different venues, with the largest combined crowd ever. You have to go all out for a night like that. The odds are not in my favor. But, I've made a career out of defying the odds."
Wyndham: "Who would you say potentially could be the most problematic opponent in this match?"
ACH: "With a multi-man match, there are so many extra things in play. When you throw in a ladder, it only adds to the uncertainty. Probably the guy with the most momentum right now is Naito. He just completely changed his personality, which makes him a wildcard. Sabre is another talent who will be at home on the ladder. They're all world-class opponents. It's hard to say."
Wyndham: "Well, good luck in your first high-profile defense, on the biggest stage of them all."
ACH: "I'm ready for the challenge. This is what I live for!"
Regal: "ACH is as exciting and athletic a wrestler as I have ever seen. He'll have to summon all that to walk out of 'Starrcade' with the championship."
Young: "He'll have to scale to new heights, no pun intended. I think he's up to the task."
Regal : "We'll take a commercial, then it's back to talk to Gail Kim."
After the commercial break, the scene cut to "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham, who was with NWA World Women's Champion Gail Kim for a pre-recorded interview (earlier in the day).
Wyndham: "I'm here with NWA World Women's Champion Gail Kim. Gail, you are a multi-time World Champion and have worked all over the world and for every major roster in the sport. How does your current run as champion stack up against the others?"
Gail Kim: "This one is the sweetest. The NWA is the oldest worldwide organization. I grew up watching NWA wrestling as a child. To hold this title completes my career."
Wyndham: "Now, you did win that championship from Manami Toyota in rather dubious fashion, after interference from Kana. But, you are the champion and have defended the title successfully since capturing it."
Kim: "Dubious? Whatever. I can't help it that Manami Toyota has made enemies. I don't work with Kana. She's from your little organization. You can call it dubious if you want. I had Toyota beaten already. I didn't need Kana's help anymore than I need anyone else's help. I won the championship on my own and I defend it on my own."
Wyndham: "Well then, let's talk about your 'Gauntlet' match at 'Starrcade.' This is much different than a traditional championship 'Gauntlet.' Typically, the champion must run through all the contenders to retain the title. This will be a random draw match. You might very well be the first name drawn or the last name drawn."
Kim: "It really doesn't matter when my name is drawn. I'm the best wrestler on earth. I'll beat every lady they put me against. I'm not giving this belt up any time soon!"
Wyndham: "Your opponents are Addy Starr, Sexy Star, Io Shirai, and Ivelisse. Who do you consider the biggest threat to your championship?"
Kim: "There are no threats. When you're the best, you beat everyone. It's as simple as that!"
Regal: "Gail Kim has no shortage of confidence heading into 'Starrcade.'"
Young: "She almost seems overconfident. But, she's been to the top of the mountain many times in her career. I know she has a clear plan of action."
Regal: "Let's go to the ring."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva hit to bring out Jordan Richards, Eve Torres, Stacy Keibler, Brock Lesnar, "The Varsity Boys," and "The Kingdom."
Jordan Richards: "Well, well, well. Here we are, none the worse for wear. All the while, Scott Hall and his 'Geriatric World Order' are hobbling around on their walkers, licking their wounds. I told the world we would reign supreme. This past Saturday, we did exactly that! The are old news, while we are the names on everyone's lips! My guys put those old men out to pasture for good. Now then, on to my agenda for tonight. I told you people last week that I would announce the second Show Time match for 'Starrcade.' Well, here it is. Mika Nagano was stripped of the Bantamweight Championship, one day after winning it, due to outside interference by Awesome Kong. Commissioner Yuzuki Aikawa has a precedent in place that automatically disqualifies members of 'Joshi Mafia' for interfering in each other's matches. So, here is my decision. We're going to have a 'Super Seven Elimination' match for the championship on Thursday! The participants will be as follows: Mika Nagano, Mayu Iwatani, Makoto, Kaho Kobayashi, Aoi Kizuki, Maki Narumiya, and my surprise wildcard choice, Eve Torres! (Torres erupts and hugs Richards vigorously) This is a reward for all your hard work, Evie! Go get 'em! Agenda item number is this--I have decided to cancel the regularly scheduled match for this time slot, because Adam Cole requested to defend the NWA: Show Time Championship on television today, against a worthy opponent. Well, I could think of no one more worthy than a guy who's been with this company since the beginning. He tours on the road full-time and he's a world class athlete, a former Greco-Roman wrestler. He is one of the most unorthodox and popular wrestlers on the roster today. He is none other than Dalton Castle!"
Match Two ~ NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Championship ~ Adam Cole with Maria Kanellis vs. Dalton Castle with his "boys"
Cole basically attempted to toy with Castle, who is a solid singles wrestler in his own right. Castle, surprisingly, made this one more competitive than Cole thought it would be. Adam finally polished Dalton off with the "Florida Key."
Winner and still NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion = Adam Cole by pinfall in 6:11
Regal: "Dalton Castle made a believer out of me. He is a quality wrestler!"
Young: "I didn't know he had it in him!"
Regal: "Fans, we're going to talk with the World Tag Team Champions at this time."
The scene cut to a pre-recorded (earlier in the day) interview conducted by "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham.
Wyndham: "With me are AJ Styles and Alberto El Patron, the NWA World Tag Team Champions. Gentlemen, you have reigned for quite a while now with a partnership that seemed unlikely, at first. How have you guys gelled so well?"
AJ Styles: "Well, we're not the first team in the world you would put together, as you said. No one would have thought of us as a team, but it has become a solid partnership for sure. We were brought together out of necessity, to combat 'Los Hell Brothers.' It sort of grew from there."
Alberto El Patron: "Yes. We have a common enemy. That is what bound us together, at first. We watched each other's backs. From there, it became a friendship. Now, we are a true partnership."
Wyndham: "You vanquished 'Los Hell Brothers' and have moved on to defeat some impressive teams, teams that have been together longer than you have. What is the secret to your success?"
Styles: "We have committed that we will never take a night off. We'll never 'phone it in,' period."
El Patron: "Yes. It's a commitment to excellence every single match. We leave everything in the ring."
Wyndham: "Well, that formula certainly has worked well so far. At 'Starrcade,' you will face four teams from different backgrounds, each with its own unique style. This is an 'Elimination' match, so it's survival of the fittest. What are your thoughts heading in?"
Styles: "We can work any style. You want to fly. We'll fly. You want to brawl. We'll brawl. You want to grind it out and get technical. We'll get technical with the best of them. Our goal is to look out for each other. If we do that, we'll be there at the end."
El Patron: "AJ and I both have trained in every style. We've worked all over the world. We're ready for anything."
Wyndham: "Good luck, guys!"
Regal: "Styles and Patron are quite a combo. They'll be hard to defeat."
Young: "Yes, they will. I'm looking forward to the Tag Team Title match."
Regal: "Indeed. After the commercial, we'll have our main event!"
Match Three ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Kingdom"--Michael Bennett & Matt Taven with Maria Kanellis vs. "The Mighty Don't Kneel"--Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste
This was a phenomenal match. "TMDK" was up to the task. They had Bennett and Taven on the ropes for much of the match. End the end, the "home field" advantage paid off. Kanellis showed a little skin (by shaking her derriere), which stopped Haste in his tracks. Bennett and Taven took the opportunity to uncork a "Superkick," followed by "Hail Mary" for the win.
Winners and still NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Kingdom" by pinfall in 17:46
Regal: "Phenomenal contest! Credit Maria with the assist, but a hardfought victory for 'The Kingdom.'"
Young: "I was impressed with both teams. What a back-and-forth match. They took us on a roller-coaster ride!"
Regal: "Fans, we have one interview left to air, and it's with the NWA World Champion, CM Punk. Let's take you to 'So Cal' Val at this time."
The scene cut to a pre-recorded (earlier in the day) interview conducted by "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham.
Wyndham: "I'm with the NWA World Champion, CM Punk. You have the biggest main event of your career coming up on Thanksgiving night, as 160,000 people will watch you take on 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar in defense of the richest prize in pro wrestling. Now, Lesnar was once on your payroll, but seemingly has sold his services to a 'higher bidder.' The identity of this person remains a mystery. What are your thoughts on this entire scenario?"
CM Punk: "Well, Vanessa, I see it like this. Brock Lesnar has betrayed me. He stabbed me in the back. We had a business arrangement, wherein I paid him handsomely to act as an 'insurance policy' to protect my interests. He went behind my back and negotiated a new deal with some mystery man. He undercut me! What's worse, he undercut the sport of professional wrestling. He made it no better than an underground fight club, with shady deals taking place behind closed doors. What has this sport come to?!"
Wyndham: "It's Valerie, not Vanessa, first of all. Secondly, what do your consider your business deal with Lesnar? You paid him to hand you the World Championship? You don't consider that a shady deal?"
Punk: "Vanessa, Vanessa, Vanessa. Of course, I'm not a shady character. What I did was done for the greater good. The sport needs me as the World Champion. I bring class, sophistication, and expertise to the title. I am the best in the world!"
Wyndham: "And Brock Lesnar brings none of those things to the table?"
Punk: "Lesnar is a Neanderthal! He is a buffoon who can't even speak for himself! He needs Jordan Richards to complete his sentences for him! Brock Lesnar can't talk his way out of a wet paper sack! I am twice the man that Bro--"
Just then, Richards and Lesnar interrupted the interview and Brock grabbed Punk by the shirt.
Richards: "CM Punk, you have made the mistake of a lifetime! Taking the championship from you was purely business before! Now, you've chosen to make it personal! You will regret the day you ever met Brock Lesnar! On Thursday, 'The Beast' will be unleashed!"
Punk was left flabbergasted as he slumped down into his chair.
Regal: "Oh my! This one just got even more interesting!"
Young: "I don't know if Brock will win the World Championship, but I can guarantee he'll beat up CM Punk!"
Regal: "Fans, we're all out of time. The world will be watching 'Starrcade 2K15' on Thursday. Order the PPV now! Show Time Femme Fatales will be pre-empted this week and will come back with a double episode next Thursday on TNT! Catch us back here next Tuesday on TBS for the Show Time Power Hour! For Renee Young, I'm WIlliam Regal, saying, ta ta for now!"
