The episode opens with Madusa Miceli, Melissa Santos, and Noel Harlow sitting at the commentary booth of an empty WRAL studios.
Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest sixty minutes on television, Show Time Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess medusa Miceli. With me are my luscious co-hosts, Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow. Ladies, this week we continue on with clipped highlights from the first round of the 'Femme Fatales top Gun' Tournament."
Melissa Santos: "Yes. These matches occurred in studio yesterday and will be joined in progress for the sake of time. We have sixteen big tourney matches today."
Noel Harlow: "But, that's not all. Last week, we had one match that was shown in its entirety, which saw Io and Mio Shirai regain the NWA: Show Time Women's Tag Team Championship from 'Muscle Venus' after Hikaru Shida inexplicably turned on her partner Tsukasa Fujimoto. I'm still scratching my head about that one."
Miceli: "Right, Noel. The world wants answers on that one."
Harlow: "Indeed we do. This week, we will show another match in its entirety. This was the match that was originally booked for last week. 'Candy Crush' will take on the Shirais in a match where Aja Kong says will determine their status in 'Joshi Mafia.'"
Santos: "If 'Candy Crush' wins, Kairi Hojo and Chelsea Diamond will remain in 'Joshi Mafia.' Kong says that, if they lose, they will be beaten out of the group. No pressure there, right?"
Miceli: "Exactly. Well guys and gals, we have a packed episode today, so let's get to it!"
(Match commentary will be suspended due to space)
Match One ~ 2 Mika Nagano vs. 15 Samantha Starr
Fresh off her Women's TV Championship loss to Yumi Ohka, Nagano was furious, and took it out on her overmatched opponent. She easily finished off Starr with a "Fujiwara Armbar" in just over three minutes.
Winner = 2 Mika Nagano by submission in 3:12
Match Two ~ 7 Nagisa Nozaki vs. 10 Kahmora
Kahmora was given a slightly lower than expected seed, perhaps due to her relatively short career, but she obviously came into the match with a chip on her shoulder. The member of "Divas of Destruction" certainly lived up to her stable's moniker. A "Human Torture Rack" did Nozaki in.
Winner = 10 Kahmora by submission in 5:41
Match Three ~ 6 Winter with Saraya Knight vs. 11 Chica Tormenta
This was a back-and-forth struggle. Neither woman established dominance for an extended period. Winter used her experience to gain a foothold eventually, but Tormenta pulled another upset with a quick "Small Package."
Winner = 11 Chica Tormenta by pinfall in 6:33
Match Four ~ 3 Hikaru Shida vs. 14 Santana Garrett
Shida, flanked by "Joshi Mafia," has completely changed her attitude this week. She was all business and it showed. Garrett, a former NWA World Women's CHampion, looked like a rookie in the ring with the ultra-aggressive Shida. Hikaru ended it with a sick kick to the back of Garrett's skull.
Winner = 3 Hikaru Shida by pinfall in 4:47
Match Five ~ 4 Sarah Stock vs. 13 Skarlett with Ariel
Stock is a technical wizard, while Skarlett is highly skilled, but very unpredictable. Stock controlled the tempo, but Skarlett kept coming back. The tide turned when former partner and new member of "diabolico," Ludark Shaitan, appeared at ringside and distracted Skarlett. Stock took advantage and nailed a gut shot, followed by a "Double Underhook Sitout Popwerbomb."
Winner = 4 Sarah Stock by pinfall in 6:22
Match Six ~ 5 Black Lotus vs. 12 Sarona Snuka
Lotus controlled much of the match with her martial arts striking ability. Snuka is one tough cookie, and her father's tenacity shone through. This was a war of attrition until Lotus began choking Sunka in the corner with her foot. Referee Nikkon Lee admonished Lotus, to no avail. She began to count, getting it to five with no break. Lee called for the bell and disqualified Lotus, making this an "upset bracket" for sure.
Winner = 12 Sarona Snuka by disqualification in 8:21
Match Seven ~ 8 Misaki Ohata vs. 9 Zeuxis
This match was more even than the seeding. It was perhaps the most hotly contested match of the first round. The final result was up in the air until it happened. Ohata snuck in a "Hanamaru Dokkan" for the pin.
Winner = 8 Misaki Ohata by pinfall in 7:37
Match Eight ~ 1 Kairi Hojo vs. 16 Noelle Foley
Foley, though a trainee, certainly is one apple which did not fall far from the tree. She undoubtedly has practiced with her dad (Mick Foley) growing up. She hit the running "Elbow Drop" to the floor, as well as the infamous "Bang, Bang!" hand signals that made her father famous. Ultimately, Hojo was simply too good. She is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world, female or otherwise. She hit her vaunted "Flying Elbow Drop" for the win, then gave a tip of the cap to Foley before leaving the ring, which raised the ire of "Joshi Mafia" leader Aja Kong.
Winner = 1 Kairi Hojo by pinfall in 4:35
Match Nine ~ 2 Aja Kong vs. 15 Shaul Guerrero
Kong was intent to show Hojo "how it's done" and forced her to stay at ringside for the match. Kong got all she could handle form the fiery Guerrero. Shaul hit a twisting "Hurricanrana," followed by a "Dropkick" that sent Kong reeling. Aja eventually righted the ship and blasted Guerrero with a "Spinning Backfist" to finish her off. Hojo seemed to chuckle at the fact that it took Kong longer to put her opponent away than it did her the match before.
Winner = 2 Aja Kong by pinfall in 5:11
Match Ten ~ 7 Celeste vs. 10 Chiharu
Chiharu is a mighty mite, but Celeste is so strong, she simply overwhelmed the much smaller star with her power. Celeste turned Chiharu inside out with a "Spear," and that was all she wrote.
Winner = 7 Celeste by pinfall in 3:45
Match Eleven ~ 6 Taryn Terell vs. 11 Vanely
Vanely shot out of the gate looking for the quick upset early and often. Terrell was game, but had trouble keeping up with the Lucha Libre style. Vanely actually had Terrell pinned for nearly eight seconds, but Mandy Leon had referee La Maestra's attention. Taeler Hendrix snuck into the ring and hit "The Kiss Goodnight" on Vanely, which made her easy fodder for the "Taryn Cutter."
Winner = 6 Taryn Terell by pinfall in 7:29
Match Twelve ~ 3 Tsukasa Fujimoto vs. 14 Taeler Hendrix
Fujimoto was off her game a bit, no doubt still reeling from her former best friend's betrayal. She shook it off to take this one, but not before Hendrix did a number on her left arm. Tsukasa's status for the remainder of the tournament is now up in the air.
Winner = 3 Tsukasa Fujimoto by pinfall in 9:43
Match Thirteen ~ 4 Ayako Hamada vs. 13 Annie Social with Ariel
Social was good. Hamada was better. She wrestles in the same vein as does Kana--stiff and deliberate. She diced Annie up with leg kicks and decimated her with a "Shining Wizard." Hamada then dropped Social with the "AP Cross" for the win.
Winner = 4 Ayako Hamada by pinfall in 7:19
Match Fourteen ~ 5 ACT Yasukawa vs. 12 Holly Rocamora with Saraya Knight
Yasukawa has grown in confidence since joining "Joshi Mafia." Rocamora has become a standout young star in the "British Bombshells" faction. This was an interesting match, to say the least. Yasukawa won, but barely. She caught Rocamora in an "O'Connor Roll" and held on for the pin with a two handfuls of tights.
Winner = 5 ACT Yasukawa by pinfall in 6:32
Match Fifteen ~ 8 Chelsea Diamond vs. 9 Reina Dorada
This was a great match-up. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at one another. Chelsea squeaked this one out by a hair after a "Flying Crossbody Press."
Winner = 8 Chelsea Diamond by pinfall in 9:22
Match Sixteen ~ 1 Manami Toyota vs. 16 Abbie Belle Windham
Toyota was obviously trepidatious at first, especially considering the fact that the seventeen-year-old Windham is the youngest trainee and youngest member of NWA: Show Time period. Windham came right at Toyota, most likely too young to be intimidated by Manami's mystique. She clearly honored the champion, but had a point to prove at the same time. Toyota finished Windham, after a surprisingly good match, with the "Japanese Queen Bee Bomb," then helped Windham to her feet in a show of respect.
Winner = 1 Manami Toyota by pinfall in 3:55
Match Seventeen ~ Io & Mio Shirai of "Joshi Mafia" vs. "Candy Crush"--Kairi Hojo & Chelsea Diamond of "Joshi Mafia"
This was an astounding match that we barely had time to complete on the broadcast. The Shirais dominated the pace of the match, but "Candy Crush" continued to come back with athletic counters. The end came when The Shirais had Hojo set up for their combo finisher. Diamond knocked Io off the top rope and Hojo spun into a reverse "Hurricanrana" that spiked Mio on top of her head. This allowed Hojo to scale the top and hit her breathtaking "Flying Elbow Drop" for the win.
Winners = "Candy Crush" by pinfall in 20: 15
After the match, it appeared that the rest of "Joshi Mafia" would bury the hatchet. Just then, Aja Kong performed the "throat slit" gesture and the beat down commenced. "Joshi Mafia" had no plans to reconcile with "Candy Crush." It would seem that they are officially out of the group. "Joshi no Densetsu," Tsukasa Fujimoto, and Yumi Ohka all made the save, sending the "Mafia" packing. As they recovered, Hojo and Diamond performed "throat slit" gestures of their own at "Joshi Mafia."
Miceli: "Fans, that's all the time we have for this week. Tune into TBS next Tuesday for the Show Time Power Hour and back here on TNT next Thursday for more Show Time Femme Fatales. For Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow, I'm Madusa Miceli, saying, keep on rockin' and rollin'!"
