Madusa Miceli: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the hottest sixty minutes on television, Show Time Femme Fatales! I'm your hostess, Madusa Miceli. With me are my beautiful co-hosts, Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow. Girls, we are about to embark on the most significant few weeks in the history of the ladies division here at NWA: Show Time. Tonight, we begin the 'Femme Fatales Top Gun' tournament. This is will be a battle for supremacy. The winner will receive a check for $25,000.00 and the match of her choosing. This could be huge! So, for the next five weeks, this program will highlight every match the sixty-four woman, single elimination tournament exclusively...except for tonight. We do have one match scheduled for the broadcast that is not part of 'Top Gun.' Melissa, tell us about it."
Melissa Santos: "Last Saturday at the 'World War III' iPPV, 'Muscle Venus' walked away with the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship when they defeated Io & Mio Shirai. 'Joshi Mafia' protested the result and have invoked the mandatory rematch clause on behalf of the Shirai sisters. So, we will see 'Muscle Venus' defend the championship for the very first time here on TNT!"
Noel Harlow: "This is going to be an epic encounter. I can feel it!"
Miceli: "That match will be our main event, and will be seen in its entirety. For now, let's go to the ring for our opening tournament match-up!"
(Commentary spots will be withheld for the sake of space. Also of note is the fact that tournament matches are filmed at each TV taping and then clipped for the broadcast. This is not a two or three-day event. The tournament rounds will progress weekly.)
Match One ~ 2 Io Shirai vs. 15 Alana "Baby Beefcake" Leslie
Leslie was outmatched from the get-go. She is just getting started as a wrestler. Io is a seasoned veteran, even at 26 years old. She made short work of "Baby Beefcake," nailing her signature "Moonsault" for the pin.
Winner = 2 Io Shirai by pinfall in 3:23
Match Two ~ 7 Cherry vs. 10 Michiko Omukai
This was an evenly matched encounter, pitting two athletic and energetic performers against one another. Omukai was on the offensive for the bulk of the match. However, Cherry came roaring back at the end to pick up a victory with the "Cherryton Bomb."
Winner = 7 Cherry by pinfall in 6:11
Match Three ~ 6 O.D.B. vs. 11 Thea Trinidad
This was a slugfest. O.D.B. will fight with anyone who crosses her path. Thea is a hot-blooded Latina and obliged with great relish. Ultimately, O.D.B. took a shot of "liquid courage" and spit it into Trinidad's eyes while the referee was distracted. She then quickly hit "Bam" for the pin.
Winner = 6 O.D.B. by pinfall in 5:34
Match Four ~ 3 Kyoko Inoue vs. 14 India Sioux
Inoue proved that she still has "it." she matched Sioux, who is a tremendous worker in her own right, move for move, hold for hold. Kyoko finished off the popular luchadora with the "Niagara Driver."
Winner = 3 Kyoko Inoue by pinfall in 8:10
Match Five ~ 4 Meiko Satomura vs. 13 Lady Jaguar
Lady Jaguar is impressive and she gave Satomura all she could handle. Lucha Libre versus Joshi Puroresu is performance art at its finest. Lady Jaguar stopped roaring, however, after a "Death Valley Bomb."
Winner = 4 Meiko Satomura by pinfall in 7:45
Match Six ~ 5 Yumi Ohka vs. 12 Christina Von Eerie
Von Eerie is tough and talented, but was no match for the cunning of Ohka, who trapped her in the "Angel Wings Lock" for the submission.
Winner = 5 Yumi Ohka by submission in 8:56
Match Seven ~ 8 Saki Akai vs. 9 Lolita
This was another classic Lucha/Puro encounter. Lolita actually controlled throughout, but made a fatal mistake on a missed dive. Lolita stumbled to her feet and walked into a "Saki Cutter" for the pin.
Winner = 8 Saki Akai by pinfall in 7:44
Match Eight ~ 1 Awesome Kong vs. 16 Mika Rotundo
The developmental talents have been given an opportunity to participate in the tournament as number 16 seeds. Rotundo had no prior wrestling training before entering the "Show Time Dojo," and it showed against the massive Kong. The "Implant Buster" ended this one in a hurry.
Winner = 1 Awesome Kong by pinfall in 1:21
Match Nine ~ 2 Mio Shirai vs. 15 Tessa Blanchard
Tessa has plenty of her father's talent to go along with good looks, but Mio is on another level currently. With time, Blanchard will be there. On this night, Mio reigned supreme.
Winner = 2 Mio Shirai by pinfall in 5:33
Match Ten ~ 7 Arisa Nakajima vs. 10 Seleziya
This was a more evenly matched battle than the seeding would allow. Seleziya, a member of "Divas of Destruction," got a little help from her new stable mate D'Arcy Dixon, whose distraction pulled Arisa's attention away from the task at hand. A big "Spear" from Seleziya gave us our first tournament upset.
Winner = 10 Seleziya by pinfall in 8:02
Match Eleven ~ 6 Eve Torres vs. 11 Sexy Lady
Torres seemed to underestimate Lady, who really took it to the leader of "The Dollhouse." However, Torres, like Seleziya before her, benefitted from some timely distraction tactics. In this case, though, Mandy Leon actually interfered and struck Lady in the back while Taryn Terrell had the referee's attention diverted. This allowed Torres to hit the "Heart Breaker" for the controversial pinfall.
Winner = 6 Eve Torres by pinfall in 6:48
Match Twelve ~ 3 Takako Inoue vs. 14 Aika Ando
Ando is versatile, but inexperienced. Inoue, on the other hand, has many years of experience under her belt, and is still a lethal weapon in the ring. Ando walked right into "Takako's Night Night," which ended the tournament quickly for her.
Winner = 3 Takako Inoue by pinfall in 3:19
Match Thirteen ~ 4 Paige vs. 13 Silueta
Silueta might have been done an injustice with such a low seed. She is a strong Lucha competitor, but she has not established herself in NWA: Show Time just yet. Paige has been very prominent in her stable's success. Silueta was game and had something to prove. Paige was just too good this day. The "PTO" was too much for Silueta, who tapped out in agony.
Winner = 4 Paige by submission in 7:43
Match Fourteen ~ 5 Becky Lynch vs. 12 Buggy Nova
Nova came into this match limping as a result of some nagging injuries sustained on the road with NWA: Show Time. It showed, as she had no explosion in her offense. Lynch took advantage and "Dis-Arm Her" made Nova's bum shoulder easy prey.
Winner = 5 Becky Lynch by submission in 4:57
Match Fifteen ~ 8 Risa Sera vs. 9 Lluvia
This was the most competitive match of the episode--by far. These ladies went at it tooth and nail, literally trading blows throughout. Sera had the victory within her grasp. Lluvia snatched it from her with a surprise "Small Package."
Winner = 9 Lluvia by pinfall in 9:28
Match Sixteen ~ 1 Kana vs. 16 Kayla Armstrong
This was a ridiculous mismatch involving another developmental talent, Kayla Armstrong. She was woefully overmatched by the vicious Kana. Her trepidation showed from the opening bell, as she allowed Kana to rush her with stiff kicks. A "Reverse Roundhouse" followed by a high speed "Roundhouse" nearly took Armstrong's head off. Kana made the lazy cover for the one-minute put-away.
Winner = 1 Kana by pinfall in :49
That concluded the tournament matches. After a commercial break, it was time for the NWA: Show Time Women's Tag Team Championship rematch.
Match Seventeen ~ NWA: Show Time Women's Tag Team Championship ~ "Muscle Venus"--Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida vs. Io & Mio Shirai
Hikaru Shida has not acted quite herself since she and Fujimoto won the championship. In fact, she seemed a bit annoyed or frustrated while everyone else was celebrating the victory. Nevertheless, she was intent during the match itself, until the very end. She and Fujimoto were set up to perform a tandem dive off the top onto Mio. Inexplicably, Shida scooped up Fujimoto and delivered a "Falcon Arrow" to her own partner! Shida then winked and nodded at Io and Mio. Io scaled the top rope and hit a "Moonsault" for the pin to regain the championship.
Winners and NEW NWA: Show Time Women's Tag Team Champions = Io & Mio Shirai by pinfall in 10:19
Shida celebrated with "Joshi Mafia" and placed her foot on the chest of the fallen Fujimoto. As "Joshi Mafia" celebrated, Aja Kong grabbed a microphone.
Aja Kong: "`Joshi Mafia' no atarashī menbā o kangei (Welcome the newest member of 'Joshi Mafia')!"
Madusa Miceli: "I can't believe what I'm seeing here. This is so surreal."
Melissa Santos: "Hikaru Shida just joined 'Joshi Mafia' after warring with them for months?! Why?!"
Noel Harlow: "I don't get it. Hikaru and Tsukasa were like sisters. They have teamed together for so long. They had just conquered the Shirais on Saturday. And, now, this?!"
Madusa Miceli: "We need answers. Hikaru Shida has some explaining to do. I am at a loss for words. Wow. Just, wow. Fans, we're out of time for this week's episode. I hate to leave you hanging, but they're wrapping us up. Please tune in to TBS this Tuesday for the Show Time Power Hour and right back here on TNT next Thursday for more Show Time Femme Fatales. Guys, stay tuned. We plan to get to the bottom of this. For Melissa Santos and Noel Harlow, I'm Madusa Miceli. We'll see you next week."
