The Miz makes his entrance and runs through a version of his usual MizTV introductory patter, giving Rey and Dominick Mysterio a shoutout in the process.
Ric Flair makes his entrance, follows by Hulk Hogan, who is accompanied by the Mouth of the South himself, Jimmy Hart. Miz soaks the moment in briefly and Flair says he’s tired of hearing Hogan’s music. The A-Lister puts the legends over before talking up the season premiere. The Hulkster goes for the cheap pop and puts Ric over as the greatest of all time, letting a hoarse, sad “Wooo!” out in the process.
Flair calls Hogan the greatest draw in the history of the company before saying that in the ring, nobody touches him, and he won’t take second fiddle to Hulk. Hogan says it sounds to him like he wants to take one more run at the 24-inch pythons, to which Ric takes his jacket on and offers the Hulkster a shot! Off the ropes, he stops short when Hogan raises his fist.
Hulk says they’re not spring chickens anymore, but that doesn’t mean-- “One more match!” chants go up-- that doesn’t mean they can’t add to their legacy, to which Flair says he wants a paycheck with as many zeroes as the Hulkster, so where he’s going, he’s following. Miz says at the next Crown Jewel, it’ll be Team Hogan vs. Team Flair in a ten-man tag with the legends as coaches! So this whole segment was to set up another flippin Saudi show
Enter Seth Rollins, the captain for Team Hogan!
He says he’s got a lot on his plate, but little five-year-old Seth would be kicking him in his shins if he didn’t accept this honor and he’s proud to be captain of Team Hogan.
Enter Randy Orton, the captain for Team Flair!
He says he needs Seth’s 100% undivided attention so if he could just crawl out of Hogan’s ass for a second... He asks Ric for a “Wooo!” and gets it, explaining that they’re gonna pick their teammates over the next couple weeks, but seeing as it’s the season premiere and they’re both in the ring, he wants a match right here right now!
Rollins says he was looking for somebody to step up, so he wants to do it!
Crew members clear the ring and King Baron Shithead interrupts, coming to ringside and giving Orton a chance to blindside Rollins! Seth laying punches in, Corbin attacks with his scepter and they put boots to the champ... RUSEV MAKES THE SAVE! SPINNING WHEEL KICK TAKES Corbin OUT! Shoulder thrusts, block the RKO... MACHKA KICK! Duck a lariat, Seth lays Corbin out with an Avada Kedavra and Rusev follows with a Machka Kick!
Rusev and Rollins stand tall as the crowd chants for Rusev. They head to the stage and pose with the Hulkster.
We get a video of Dominick Mysterio getting stretchered out of the building in an ambulance after Brock Lesnar attacked him and his father earlier tonight, Rey apologizing the whole way
