Kane was standing by with various Andre Battle Royal participants. Kane said this is Axel-Mania, then vowed to demonstrate what will happen at WrestleMania, but Mark Henry's music interrupted. Henry said this will be their own version of March Madness. He tossed his hat in the match, then hit the ring. Bodies started flying as Curtis Axel hung out ringside with the Andre trophy.

After the mid-carders were cleared out, the exhibition battle royal came down to Kane and Henry. Henry dumped Kane, then Axel snuck back the ring and tried to push Henry over the top rope, but Henry blocked. Henry then tossed Axel over the top rope. Henry got his music on the way out as he left the ring to stare at the Andre trophy

Lilian Garcia introduced Paul Heyman, who was standing by in the ring. Heyman hyped Brock Lesnar as the single-most legitimate and authentic champion in WWE or MMA history then, now, and forever. So, in the spirit of that authenticity, he came out here to say that his client, Brock Lesnar, views rules and regulations on his title match as not fitting his style. Heyman said Lesnar is a beast and he is not coming to WrestleMania to make love, but to make war. "War on Roman Reigns!" he shouted.

Heyman said no one has thought about what happens when Lesnar violates rules and regulations. Are they going to turn off the lights? Cut the feed of the PPV? Or on the Network? Cut WrestleMania off? Just give everyone their money back?! Heyman said the audience is stuck with Brock Lesnar as WWE World champion. (Vocal males cheered that result over Roman Reigns being champion.) And there's not a damn thing that --- his mic cut out.

Heyman leaned on the top rope amused by this. He said cutting off his mic is one thing, but what are they going to do when you can't stop Brock Lesnar? Heyman then over-hyped Roman Reigns as the "stand-out of NXT" who beat 29 other guys in the Royal Rumble and bypassed Daniel Bryan. But, what happens when Reigns run into a beating from Brock? He said Reigns will be the next great Samoan-American't. He said Reigns can't, can't, can't, can't, can't beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Heyman said his father should have warned him a long time ago!

The Shield's music interrupted to bring out Reigns, who apparently hung out for a long time at the top of the arena listening to Heyman speak. Reigns, sporting a new t-shirt reading, "I Can. I Will." entered the ring to a smattering of boos. Reigns, sporting his blue eyes, said he has a lot of respect for Heyman. He said his issue is not with Heyman, but with his client, Brock Lesnar. Reigns said he's going to talk to Lesnar now.

Reigns dramatically turned to face the hard camera to address Lesnar. Reigns, said he wants to look Lesnar in the eyes and tell him that he will win at Mania, even if people like these guys behind him (fans booing) don't think he can. "Daniel Bryan" chants from the same fans. Reigns closed by telling Lesnar to believe that. Heyman bailed from the ring as Reigns looked around the arena trying to sell confidence.

WWE showed Paul Heyman marching down the hallway. Renee Young stopped Heyman to get his thoughts on Roman Reigns. Heyman said he likes it that Reigns wants to play chess with the chessmaster. Heyman said he will give Reigns a chance to get in Brock Lesnar's face next week on Raw. So, he can say anything to Brock's face next week. Which also means Brock will have the chance to say or do anything to Reigns's face

Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler & Daniel Bryan defeat Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper & Stardust, Dean hits Stardust with a Jawbreaker Lariat, Harper blasts Ambrose with a Big Boot, Dolph goes for a Superkick but Luke ducks & he hits Bryan, Superkick for Harper too, Barrett with Wasteland on Dolph from the ring to the floor, he loads up the Bullhammer, Dean catches the arm & hits Dirty Deeds for the win

Ambrose's music played, but Harper blasted Ambrose from behind. Harper chucked Ambrose into the announce table, then Stardust took the IC Title belt from R-Truth. But, Ambrose caught up to Stardust in the crowd. Ambrose tried to leave with the belt, but he accidentally dropped the belt at Truth's feet as Stardust continued to fight him.

Truth tried to leave, but Harper stopped him. So, Truth tossed the belt into the ring. Ambrose took out Harper, then the focus went to Bryan and Ziggler holding onto the belt. They played nice, then smacked each other with right hands. Stardust tried to get involved, but they took him out. Suddenly, Barrett hit the ring and took out Bryan and Ziggler with the Bullhamer. Barrett got his music on the way out to continue the theme of heels standing tall this week. Barrett taunted Truth with the belt as he walked away from ringside. Truth backed down, but Barrett smashed him with the Bullhammer anyways. Barrett left finally in possession of his title belt.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon made their first appearance of the show looking at Steph's phone. Hunter, back on TV for the first time since two weeks ago, listened to Seth Rollins complain about what's happening to him. Steph told Seth to stop alienating everyone. Hunter, looking real casual, got agitated when Rollins blamed Steph for sending Kane and Big Show home last week. Rollins laughed in Hunter's face trying to act tough when he's playing hide-and-seek with Sting. Hunter told Seth he better get in line and stop blaming others for his shortcomings. Steph told him to man-up. Seth smirked and walked off, leaving WWE cameras to linger on Hunter glaring toward Seth and Steph looking up toward Hunter

Bray Wyatt in his lair staring at a red urn. Bray said he remembers the first time he ever saw Abigail sitting in the rocking chair. She was so beautiful. Not just in appearance, but how she spoke. Bray said she told him about all the lies the world offered him, even people like Undertaker. Bray said Taker tried to use this urn to burn fear into his heart, but the only thing he did was turning a chair into dust. Bray opened the turn and spilled out ashes onto his hand.

Bray chuckled, then said the big question is what's left of Taker. Is it agony? Fear? The video cut to Taker on the mat after losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. Now, Taker is afraid to show his face. And the whole world saw him ashamed and naked. Bray said it almost brought him to tears. But, this is all Taker's fault. Now he's out of time and his fate is sealed. Bray said that at WrestleMania, it will be Taker's final resting place. And, his coronation taking his rightful place among the gods. Bray said no one will be safe after WrestleMania. "Behold the new face of fear," Bray chuckled.

Rollins stood on the stage not looking to enter the ring as his music stopped. Seth spoke from the stage that it took three weeks for Orton to make everyone in The Authority look like fools. Seth sold being broken up about his situation, then he started laughing. A maniacal laugh. But, it's taken him three hours to make a fool out of Orton.

Triple H's music played to bring out Hunter, Stephanie, Kane, Big Show, Noble, and Mercury to ham it up with Rollins. They telegraphed this over-playing the idea of Rollins being all alone. Orton saw the writing on the wall, so he left the ring to grab some steel. Orton returned to the ring to defend himself against The Authority as they circled the ring.

The crowd chanted for Sting as Orton stood alone in the ring. Seth prepared to enter the ring, then he called for the henchmen to hit the ring apron to surround Orton. Orton stood his ground with the chair in-hand, then Sting's crow sound played and the lights went out as The Authority approached. The crowd popped and The Dark Savior was in the ring when the lights came back on.

Orton shot Sting a look, then Orton and Sting had a weapons party blasting the heels with the chair and Sting's baseball bat. Sting ripped off his trademark jacket and chucked it at Hunter before delivering a Stinger Splash. Sting, appearing to be in good shape, then stalked Noble for a Scorpion Death Drop, saying that one was for Hunter. Orton then dropped Mercury with an RKO. "Sting, Sting, Sting" chant as Sting and Orton stood tall in the ring. (Maybe its just me, but I kept thinking don't turn your back on Randy, Sting, don't turn your back, he's a Legend Killer) Hunter backed down the troops as Sting's music played. Sting pointed his bat down at Hunter, who seethed ringside as the show ends

Sting's crow noises played and the arena went dark to signal Sting's arrival. Sting's image flashed on the screen, then a black & white light and sound display welcomed out Sting to a big reaction in his home market. Sting soaked up the crowd response on-stage as Cole went back to 14 years ago to the day when WWE bought WCW. Cole said it's the first time in history that Sting has opened Raw.

After Cole, JBL, and Booker T talked on-camera about Sting's arrival and match against Triple H at WrestleMania, Sting took the mic in the ring. "Sting, Sting" chants. "So, this is what it feels like to kick off Monday Night Raw," Sting opened. "Woooo!"

Sting said he's been known as the WCW solider while watching Triple H climb to the top of the ladder by all kinds of underhanned tactics. Sting said Hunter thinks he's unstoppable, like there are no consequences to his actions. And, yes, he might be the last soldier standing from WCW, but it would be ridiculous to keep fighting that war. He said he is here for one specific reason: "To take Triple H down." Cue up Stephanie McMahon with the interruption.

Stephanie, wearing giant heels to stand eye-to-eye with Sting, waited out boos, then said this must be what it feels like to stand in the ring with ... The Stinger. And now he's made it to the big time. Sting replied that Steph is that spoiled little brat who's had everything handed to her in life and thinks she earned. "It's nice to meet you, Steph," he said.

Stephanie replied that Sting was a big fish in a teenie, tiny little pond known as WCW (boos). But, he's a small fish in a big pond like WWE now. She commended Sting for his loyalty to WCW, but even dogs are loyal. She said dogs are kind of stupid, though. And she doesn't want to insult dogs. Steph told Sting that WCW lost, so he lost. Steph said Sting is going to lose any ounce of respect these people have for you when her husband, Triple H, pins Sting in the middle of the ring. Steph called him a facepainted freak.

Sting replied with a "wooo" shout and a smile. Stephanie then turned to slap Sting, but Sting intercepted and grabbed Steph's arm. Sting held Stephanie in place as Triple H's music played. Hunter marched down to the ring after removing his tie while Steph bailed to the outside. Hunter circled the ring, had a brief conversation with Steph, and removed his suit jacket. Sting stood his ground in the ring as Hunter slowly walked up the ring steps.

In the background, Steph knelt down and grabbed a sledgehammer from under the ring. She handed it to Hunter, who confidently started to enter the ring, but Sting pulled out his trademark baseball bat from his trenchcoat. Hunter paused and Sting taunted him with the bat. Sting backed away to give Hunter an opening, but Hunter bailed from the ring to boos. Steph told him it['s six days away, then Sting removed his jacket and told Hunter to come get some.

Hunter clutched the hammer and looked up at the WrestleMania sign hanging over Sting's shoulder, but Steph backed Hunter away, telling him to save it for WrestleMania. Sting's music then played as Sting stood his ground in the ring while Steph continued to lead Hunter up the ramp to the back.

Bad News Barrett doing commentary during this match

R-Truth & Dean Ambrose defeat Stardust & Luke Harper, Stardust gets a near fall off a Waterwheel Slam as does Harper with the Truck Stop, Truth hits The Truth Conviction on Stardust, but Luke breaks it up, Superkick to Truth, Ambrose with a Jawbreaker Lariat sending Harper outside then Dean follows Luke out with a Tope Suicida. Stardust builds aup a head of steam but Truth catches him with a running What's Up? for the win

Barrett high-tailed it from ringside, not wanting his title to be stolen. Back in the ring, Truth and Ambrose danced for a cheering crowd

Nikki Bella defeats Paige, AJ takes out Brie then thinking Nikki was coming up behind her elbows to the face when it was Paige, Nikki hits the weakest Forearm in history then pins Paige with the Rack Attack (there hasn't been paper champion this bad, someone that has zero clean finishes in a reign, since Magnus' TNA World Title reign)

A.J. entered the ring to check on her Mania tag partner, but Paige attacked her and the fight was on as the Bellas watched from ringside. "C-M Punk" chant from the crowd. The ref finally got separation to close the segment

Lilian Garcia formally introduced Snoop, who emerged on-stage surrounded by Divas. Dogg danced down to ringside with Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, Cameron, and Summer Rae before entering the ring.

In the ring, Snoop shouted out to L.A. before saying it's about to get Stone Cold --- he was cut off by Curtis Axel's theme music. Axel cut a promo on Snoop, calling back to his dad with the "Rap is Crap" run in WCW. Axel sounded inspired cutting a promo about Axel-Mania. Snoop replied that here's the guy who has been popping off on Twitter, but he needs to know that it's about Hulkamania.

Hulk Hogan's music played to bring out Hogan for a surprise appearance. Curtis Axel, dressed in his red & yellow "Axel-Mania" t-shirt, stared down Hogan as he posed to all sides of the ring in his red & yellow "Hulkamania" t-shirt. Hogan then stood next to Snoop to address Axel. "Let me tell you something, brother," Hogan opened.

Hogan went back to pressing Andre the Giant over his head, then shouted out to Dogg's career. But, as far as Axel-Mania? He asked what this brother is smoking over here. Axel remained smug, then ripped off his shirt Hogan-style. Hogan answered with a right hand blow that rocked Axel, getting in his Mania Season physicality. Dogg then tossed Axel over the top rope to the floor. Dogg ripped off his shirt to reveal a Hulkamania tanktop. Super-skinny Dogg then posed to all four corners with Hogan as the announcers yukked it up.
