William Regal: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the best sixty minutes of wrestling on television, the Show Time Power Hour! I'm your host, William Regal. With me is my ravishing co-host Renee Young. Renee, we have another blockbuster line-up today, headlined by the NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions Michael Bennett & Matt Taven defending against 'War Machine.' That one should be a donnybrook!"
Renee Young: "Yes it should, William. Also, on tap for today is an exclusive interview with 'Ticking Time Bomb' Jason Justice, where he finally answers the question of why he began his blood feud with 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas. You don't want to miss that!"
Regal: "It's set to be a great one. Let's go to the ring."
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva plays to bring out Jordan Richards, Stacy Keibler, Brock Lesnar, and "The Kingdom." Richards takes a microphone.
Jordan Richards: "Before we go to our first match, I want to address something. This little conglomerate of top-flight athletes owns pretty much all of the men's hardware in my company. Adam Cole is your reigning and defending NWA: Show Time Heavyweight Champion. Michael Bennett & Matt Taven are your reigning and defending Tag Team Champions. That leaves one championship we don't yet own--the NWA: Show Time Television Championship. Shelton Benjamin currently holds that coveted title. Shelton, why don't you bring yourself down to the ring."
Benjamin makes his way to ringside.
Richards: "My friend, you are a quality wrestler and a quality athlete. You certainly have a great pedigree and you're from my native South Carolina to boot. I've thought long and hard about this. I want to offer you the opportunity of a lifetime. Join us and become a part of the most elite force in pro wrestling today."
Shelton Benjamin: "While I have no doubt that you and each of the members of your group are talented, I don't really like any of you personally. I think what you're doing is shady. I think you and these guys take shortcuts that don't need to be taken. I don't think I can be a part of that. I'm going to respectfully decline your offer, sir."
Richards: "Think it through, son. If you're not with us, you're against us. If you make yourself an enemy of Jordan Richards, you end up ruing the day that decision ever crossed your mind. I can tell you, Shelton, you don't want to tangle with us. I have made no offers of this kind to anyone else on the roster, except for you. If you turn me down, you will become a marked man and that TV Title will leave your possession VERY shortly."
Benjamin: "I understand. But, I'm not buying what your selling. I have taken on all comers since winning this belt. I'll take your guys on too. No deal!"
Richards: "I told you not to oppose us! Get ready to defend that championship right now. Brock, you ready for a fight?!"
Brock Lesnar grins in approval and Richards books the championship match on the spot.
Richards: "I have verbal approval from both parties, making this match legal and binding. Stacy, note that for me. Boys, let's get it on!"
Match One ~ NWA: Show Time Television Championship ~ Shelton Benjamin vs. Brock Lesnar
Suplex, suplex, suplex, repeat. Lesnar tore into Benjamin from the outset. This was a typical Brock beating for the first four to five minutes. Shelton mounted no offense, essentially. The tide turned, however, when Lesnar sent Benjamin to the outside. He prepared to whip Shelton into the cornerpost, but Shelton reversed and Brock went headlong into the unforgiving steel, opening a large gash over his right eye. As blood spurted from Lesnar's wound, Shelton began to mount an offensive. He peppered the challenger with kicks. He landed a "Missile Dropkick" that sent Brock reeling. Shelton then nailed an "Exploder Suplex" and followed up with "Paydirt." As he bounded to the ropes for his signature "Springboard Shooting Star Press," Maria Kanellis grabbed his foot, sending him crashing to the mat. The referee immediately called for the disqualification.
Winner and still NWA: Show Time Television Champion = Shelton Benjamin by disqualification in 7:11
"The Kingdom" hit the ring and began laying the boots to Benjamin. Kevin Steen, Dean Ambrose, and Claudio Castagnoli came out for the save. Lesnar and company got the upper hand. Out of nowhere, Benjamin's former tag team partner Charlie Haas hit the ring with a steel chair in hand and began leveling 'Kingdom" members. Haas grabbed a microphone.
Charlie Haas: "Surprise, surprise, surprise! Bet you didn't plan on seeing me, did you boys? I was here visiting Shelton and stayed to watch the show from the back. I saw what you punks tried to do, so I said, 'enough is enough!' I'm not going to stand by and let you take out my best friend. You boys have run around unchecked for a while now. The rest of the locker room is sick and tired of it! I may not be under contract here, but I had to do something!"
Richards: "That's right! You're not under contract to me. I'm going to have you arrested for assault!"
Just then, the original "nWo" music hit to bring out Commissioner Scott Hall and Deputy Commissioner Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
Scott Hall: "Hey, yo! Charlie, you're right about one thing. You don't have a contract...yet. Jake here just so happens to be holding a an official talent agreement. I know that you keep yourself in good shape and you still wrestle from time-to-time. You and Shelton had a little tag team a few years back, if my memory serves me correctly. What do you think about getting the band back together?"
Shelton and Charlie nodded in approval and the crowd roared. Meanwhile, Jordan Richards and company were livid.
Richards: "Hall, you and Jake are overstepping your bounds with me! You may be retired, but, if you put yourself on the train tracks, you will get run over!"
Roberts: "Are you threatening us, boss? Scott, that sounds like a hostile work environment to me. You might want to rethink your choice of words before the legal department gets involved."
Richards and his henchmen left the area in disgust while Haas signed his new contract in the ring to the fans' delight.
Hall: "I'm going to conduct another order of business while we're out here. Next week, we're going to have a ten-man tag team match in the main event. Brock Lesnar, Adam Cole, Michael Bennett, Matt Taven, and a partner of their choosing are going to square off with Kevin Steen, Claudio Castagnoli, Dean Ambrose, and 'Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team' of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas! I'll go you one better too. Since every Show Time championship will be represented in that match, assuming 'The Kingdom' still owns the tag team straps after tonight, let's say every championship will be on the line next week. If a titleholder is beaten, whoever gets the win becomes the new champion!"
Regal: "Oh my! Commissioner Hall just delivered a blockbuster announcement!"
Young: "As if the fans needed another reason to tune in next week, they just got it!"
Regal: Indeed! Let's go to the ring for what was supposed to be our opening contest."
Match Two ~ "Life of the Party"--Dalton Castle & Colt Cabana vs. "Bloodbound Warriors"--Grey Wolf & Red Scorpion
The debuting "Bloodhound Warriors" are impressive physical specimens and they made short work of the popular "LotP," much to the fans' chagrin. They stormed the ring a la "The Road Warriors" and beat Cabana and Castle into pulps, hitting their finisher, "Release the Hounds" on Cabana for the victory.
Winners = "Bloodbound Warriors" by pinfall in 3:08
Regal: "These 'Bloodbound Warriors' are fearsome looking competitors."
Young: "We don't know much about them, but if this match is any indication, they will be an imposing obstacle for any team on the roster."
Regal: "We now take you to an interview conducted earlier today by Valerie Wyndham, as she spoke with Jason Justice."
The scene cut to an empty PNC Music Pavilion as the backdrop. "So Cal" Valerie Wyndham and Jason Justice sat at the announce booth. Justice was rocking back and forth, smiling an muttering to himself.
Valerie Wyndham: "I'm here to conduct the first public interview that has been granted by 'Ticking Time Bomb' Jason Justice. Jason, you have been embroiled in a hotly contested feud with 'Priest of Punishment' Mikael Judas, basically since NWA: Show Time came to be. Can you shed some light on why you singled out Judas in the first place? I mean, you guys were booked as a team in the original tag team championship tournament and you inexplicably turned on him before your first match began."
Jason Justice: "Shed some light, you say? You want to know why I inexplicably turned on Mikael Judas? (laughs maniacally) Mikael Judas portrays himself as a savior of the masses. He's the one who needs saving. He has deceived the people. He has them convinced he is their hero. He's no hero! He's a fraud! Why did I 'turn' on him, Chanel?! I didn't turn on Mikael Judas. Mikael Judas turned on me! His name is Judas after, all. Judas was the great deceiver! You see, Mikael became full of himself, a narcissist, Chanel. He thought more highly of himself than he ought to and I made it my mission to take him down a notch."
Wyndham: "So, you two will wage war in what is being billed as the last time you will ever face each other. Clash of the Champions will provide the avenue where you will face off in a double ring, cage match where the last man standing will be the winner. What are your thoughts?"
Justice: "Tick, tick, tick. Time is getting away from you, Judas. Your days are drawing to a close. Jason Justice will destroy the false prophet. You will go down in flames, Mikael Judas. You will bleed and suffer. Hell awaits. Tick, tick, tick...(again laughs maniacally) TICK, TICK, TICK!" (Justice storms off)
Wyndhaml: "There you have it."
Regal: "Jason Justice is certainly a macabre sort, Renee."
Young: "Yes he is. He's a few bricks shy of a load, if you ask me."
Regal: "Renee, I'm told we need to cut away to the dressing room area."
The feed cut to the locker room, where Tetsuya Naito was being double-teamed by "Meiyu Tag" until Ryusuke Taguchi made the save.
Regal: "My goodness! This issue between Naito, Taguchi, and the members of 'Meiyu Tag' is coming to a head!"
Young: "Someone is going to get hurt badly before this feud is over."
Regal: "That may be what it takes to end it. Back to the ring."
Match Three ~ "Handicap" match ~ Cody Hall vs. "C & C Wrestle Factory"--Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander with Veda Scott
This match was originally a one-on-one affair between Hall and Alexander, but Jordan Richards added Coleman and changed it to a "Handicap" match to "punish" Commissioner Scott Hall. He even went so far as to force Hall to sit at the announce booth for the match's duration. Richards then implored "C & C" manager Veda Scott to instruct her charges to show no mercy and prolong the contest. "C & C" obliged as Scott Hall watched on in helpless angst as his son was brutalized. "C & C" hit their assisted "Sky Splittah" finisher, but pulled Cody up at the count of two. This incensed the elder Hall, who had seen enough at this point. He pulled the referee out of the ring to cause the disqualification.
Winners = "C & C Wrestle Factory" by disqualification in 6:39
At Jordan Richards' behest, "C & C" continued their assault on young Cody, hitting another "Sky Splittah" finisher before walking away triumphantly. Scott Hall called for trainers, who came to Cody's aid and loaded him onto a stretcher in order to move him to the medical room for further assessment.
Regal: "Fans, this is beginning to get personal between Jordan Richards and Scott Hall. I don't know what to make of it yet."
Young: "Well, I'd kind of like to see them lock horns, but that's just my opinion."
Regal: "Granted, they are both former wrestlers. Who knows? This thing may come to blows before it's all said and done. Let's go to Laura Cruz."
The scene cut to a pre-taped segment.
Laura Cruz: "I'm your resident woman on the scene, 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, here with all the latest happenings from NWA: Show Time. As we gear up for Clash of the Champions, Show Time is making sure its presence is felt. Show Time Women's Champion Manami Toyota will challenge Kana for the NWA World Women's Championship in a rematch from their controversial battle a few weeks back here on the Power Hour, where it looked like Toyota was poised to capture the gold. We'll see if Manami can find the magic and continue on her unprecedented roll. Also signed is the big 'Last Man Standing' double-ring cage match, where Mikael Judas and Jason Justice will go at it for the final time. This promises to be a violent and bloody affair. We'll see on September 5th, live right here on TBS! I've heard rumors that Show Time CEO Jordan Richards, who is also Chairman of the NWA Board of Governors, is planning a major announcement at the show. My sources say that it has something to do with an upcoming event. Fans, I guess you'll have to watch the Clash to find out what he has to say. That's it for this week. I'm 'Locker Room Lovely' Laura Cruz, and that's the scoop.
Regal: "Thank you, Laura. Fans, it's time now for our main event! Scarlett (Bordeaux), take it away!"
Match Four ~ NWA: Show Time Tag Team Championship ~ "The Kingdom"--Michael Bennett & Matt Taven vs. "War Machine"--Hansen & "Godzilla" Jax Dane
As both teams got set to begin, Jordan Richards came to the ring and relieved Senior Referee Nick Patrick of duty for the main event and replaced him with special referee...
Maria Kanellis (who does possess a valid referee's license)! The crowd erupted with boos, as the kibosh was on. In retrospect, when Richards reassured Bennett & Taven that he had a plan last week, this must have been what he meant. Maria rang the bell with great relish. "War Machine" pretty much owned the match, but were not going to win the championship. Maria saw to that. That became obvious with Hansen's first pin attempt off the "Spin Kick of Doom." Maria took longer than a 90-year-old granny to get to the mat. Her counting cadence was even slower. Taven still only kicked out at two-and-a-half. Conversely, every pin attempt "The Kingdom" went for was met with a lightning fast count. The "match" went like this for several more minutes. Finally, Brock Lesnar joined the proceedings to help his stable mates triple team Hansen and Dane. Maria, all the while, saw none of the interference because she "had something in her eye." Lesnar delivered an "F-5" to Dane and Hansen. Bennett & Taven then hit the "Spike Piledriver" on Dane for the pin, which was the only normal count Maria made all match long.
Winners and still NWA: Show Time Tag Team Champions = "The Kingdom" by pinfall in 10:26
As the champions celebrated, Lesnar continued the brutality against "War Machine." Adam Cole and Jordan Richards joined them in the ring and stood tall. Richards took a microphone and warned Shelton Benjamin that his TV Championship reign would last one more week, as they would key on him in the ten-man tag. He said their tag team partner will be a surprise that will shock the world.
Regal: "It would seem that Jordan Richards will stop at nothing to ensure that his team reigns supreme."
Young: "Once Maria was introduced as the referee, 'War Machine' might as well have left the arena. There was no way she was going to let them win the match."
Regal: "Fans, that's all the time we have. Tune in next week for the big ten-man tag team match right here on TBS and the Show Time Power Hour! Don't forget to watch Show Time Femme Fatales this Thursday on TNT! For Renee Young, I'm William Regal saying, ta ta for now!"
